The Arcana Heart girls are back to save the day. Because of a strange group of psychics, portals start popping up everywhere around Tokyo, and powerful foes zip through them one after another. As the series debut on the newest home consoles, this game has better graphics and fights that sets adrenaline pumping.

Despite being mainly a fanservice otaku title, nothing in Arcana Heart 3 is compromised. It plays just like Blazblue, but with an easy-to-grasp system and several lovable characters to choose from!

If you love fighting games, you need to pick this up. It's not another remix of an established title, nor is it a rerelease of some retro game; Atlus has created something new and unique.
Yes, it takes all of the best aspects popularized by established fighters. But the fact that it executes them so well needs to be taken into consideration. With a great selection of playable characters and tons of attacks and strategies to master, you'll realize that this is not some kind of glorified Guilty Gear knockoff.
The intense gameplay and combo-focused mechanics are definitely worth learning and mastering. The Arcana system allows you to further customize your playing experience as well.
While the extras might be sparse, the vivid graphics are on par with the likes of Atlus's Odin Sphere. So do yourself a favor and pick this up.
If anything, fighting like a girl is no longer a bad thing ;)

Interesting Fighter
The learning curve is easy, I have a hard time with the final boss, but outside of that the game plays smoothly. This also sort of plays out differently than a normal fighter I'm used to. Lots of characters. It's sort of a little old school animation style, but that's ok with me.

A solid game with lots of variety in play
First off there are quite a variety of characters to play from. The learning curve isn't too steep and the ability to select a arcana will open up more possible ways of playing a character. Overall a very fun and solid fighting game to play

Very Interesting Fighter
The game play here is very nice, you have loads of unique characters who all stand out as very different from each other (none of that Ryu/Ken/Sakura mess around) and on top of that you get to pick from a huge list of Arcanas that will define the moves on the final button of your character. Even in a mirror match you're not guaranteed to have the exact same moves as your opponent! Players could spend ages trying to figure out which character and arcana combination works best for them.
The graphics are getting a little dated when compared against some other modern fighters like BlazBlue or KOF XIII but the interesting character designs do a lot to offset this and keep it visually interesting.
The biggest problem I have found with the game is the soundtrack. While there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the soundtrack it seems a little boring and doesn't really stand out on its own.
In summary, the game is a little dated when it comes to presentation but the gameplay is varied and fun enough to more than makes up for it.

Interesting and Excellent Fighting Game
This is one of the games I play with my friends, and I just love it. Lots of characters to choose from, also contains Metal(?) Pins that you can attach to your clothes, or store for collection, and a Book with great looking Images in, character information and drawings.
I recommend the game to anyone that likes fighting styled games, and to those that can read basic japanese.
The menu's is at English, at least the ones at the beginning, rest is in Japanese. But should be readable to those with basic knowledge in Japanese ;)

Great 2D style fighter!
Like it says in the 'Subject' line of the review, this is an awesome fighting game. Would also like to see a North American release at some point--we'll see, but awesome game nonetheless!

Its a good game (tm)
While the thought of an all girl fighter might be offensive to some, those with an open mind should really consider this game. The neutral homing now being free of meter makes for high flying and exciting battles that adds a unique flavor compared to other fighters. The cast are all pretty unique and pretty well balanced which is quite an accomplishment for fighters these days. While somewhat barebone in the modes, the port was really well done and online netcode is at least the same as Blazeblue CS if you're familiar with that game. While put in a higher resolution the sprites are still the same as the first game while the backgrounds and music are decent at best. Those who value presentation in their fighters may want to look elsewhere. Despite this, if you're familiar with the gameplay these type of games offer you will find what you want here with its own unique twist and will feel satisfied with spending your money.

Homing still works essentially the same though now you don't waste any energy doing it unless you use Homing Cancel or the Homing Guard. The Arcana are definitely a much larger focus as using an Arcana Blaze does not completely remove the ability for the rest of the match. The gallery also has a new collection added for the animation side panels which must be on while battling to collect them. I liked the bonus pins that came with the LE and the art book. If you liked the first two you will love this one. For Trophy fans there are plenty to collect, though you may have to work for a few of them. This one also has the easiest final boss out of most of the fighting games I have played.

This is a very competent, and fun fighter that can very much stack up to the greatest of fighters. The gameplay is similar to Blazblue from appearance, but plays significantly different. The netcode is on the same level as Blazblue (i.e. the best console netcode), which makes it great since most of your opponents will be Japanese. There's a lot of different Arcana to choose from on top of characters so you'll find a fighter + Arcana combination that is just for you. If you can't wait for an English version then definitely get this. The PS3 is region-free after all.

The best Fighting Game Edition
While graphically not look like a Blazblue, both past and especially this one have been a masterpiece that should be done many co her.

Great, until it decides not to be a fighter...
Arcana Heart 3 is in every respect a premium fighting game. Graphics are beautiful, if not quite as sharp as Blazblue, controls are responsive, and the characters are as diverse and interesting as their fighting styles (which is saying a great deal.
I'm knocking it for one, single thing though. Like Arcana Heart 1, and the ridiculous Mildred fight, what awaits you at the end of Arcana Heart's otherwise spectacular single player mode is a sudden spike in blood pressure and irritation. While the frustration level isn't as high as the final fights of the first Arcana Heart, the ridiculousness of it is far, far greater--suddenly, it's not even a fighting game.
The last fight sees you battling a giant robot, which is (more or less) the background of the stage. Hopping from platform to platform to smash power crystals while it zaps you and and small robots which cannot be destroyed (only briefly disabled) whittle away your health. A fantastic fighting game has suddenly turned into some kind of bizarre, wannabe 2d Castevania for one boss fight, and it makes no sense at all.
If you're the minority of fighter players who want to see endings for each character, this can be a real nuisance, as it's not a trivial fight. For me (and I readily admit, I'm a very atypical player to care about fighting game endings), this hurts the game a lot. If you're a more typical fighter, interested solely in playing other people, it's a non-issue, and you should consider my opinion of the game to be 4 star, not three.

Fantastic Fighting Game!
Arcana Heart has come a long way and the 3rd installment (AH3) is the best out of all three. 23 characters, beautiful backgrounds, new arcanas to try, and nice music. If you like fightings games and looking for something new to play, then I recommend getting Arcana Heart 3. Definitely an improvement form Arcana Heart 2.

A great system many will miss out on.
It's a shame the appearance of the game is keeping so many players away from the game. In a time where we've been plagued by many, but many dull fighters, you would think people would be eager to experience a fun fighting system that Arcana Heart 3 presents to players.
If you're on the fence about giving Arcana Heart 3 a go because of the appearance, I challenge you to set aside a superficial feature and experience the great gameplay it offers. It's easy enough to pick up but there's tons of tough stuff to keep you busy learning. The netplay is surprisingly great too.
It's a shame the appearance of the game is keeping so many players away from the game. In a time where we've been plagued by many, but many dull fighters, you would think people would be eager to experience a fun fighting system that Arcana Heart 3 presents to players.

I like it.
This is a great fighter and a vast improvement over AH2. The netcode is the same as BBCS' which kind of bugs me, but it could be way worse than it had to be. Overall The game is fun and has a decent roster.

Great fighting game
I baught this game and was skeptical, not having played the first 2. My doubts were put to rest once I popped it and played... wow awesome fighting game. The netcode is fantastic, comparable or even better than Blazblue considering we're playing the japanese servers. If you're a fan of 2D fighting games, it's a must have.

Big improvement
After the shoddy AH2 port, this game improves greatly in all aspects. Animation, graphics, sound, load times, it's a great port. Controls are responsive, gameplay is easy to pick up, but deep enough keep the attention of those who wish to learn all the nuances. Very fun. If you're a fan of fighters, and don't mind the steep price, I recommend picking it up.
After the shoddy AH2 port, this game improves greatly in all aspects. Animation, graphics, sound, load times, it's a great port. Controls are responsive, gameplay is easy to pick up, but deep enough keep the attention of those who wish to learn all the nuances. Very fun. If you're a fan of fighters, and don't mind the steep price, I recommend picking it up.

Another great fighter
I've always loved Arcana Hearts, and this game is the best yet. Very good visuals, great control scheme, and online play... You can't go wrong!

King of Fighting
This game is the best, gorgeous characters, fighting handsome, an excellent gallery and a few extras, perfect gameplay, good graphics, well, I recommend it to all fans of fighting games and like anime, for me the best fighting game ps3 and xbox360
