description
The tiny kingdom of Arls, located on the northeastern border of the Arland Republic, is where spunky Princess Meruru calls home. Ever since she was exposed to alchemy by famed adventurer Totori Helmold, all she can think about was becoming an alchemist. With Totori’s guidance, Meruru sets out to develop her home kingdom of Arls using the power of alchemy. On her way, Meruru will encounter new adventures, obstacles, mysteries, and friends, and discover what life is like outside the castle walls. How you choose to guide her through the advancement of her land will determine the final outcome in the tale of Atelier Meruru. With new and updated game systems and returning characters from Atelier Rorona and Atelier Totori, Atelier Meruru will once again capture the hearts and minds of all the Atelier fans out there.

Wonderful jRPG Anime
Inside the Atelier saga on PS3, it shows that this is the ending the Arland trilogy, has the best battle system, best animation and interaction with the characters. It also has the best soundtrack, in my opinion, of the three titles. If you liked the previous two (Rorona and Totori), this will definitely give the shelve know the series and will leave with a good taste. The only thing you can throw at fault, do not come in a deluxe limited edition, as in the American version.

That's the most interesting serie about synthesizing!
I do love the Arland trilogy. The girls are so fun and pretty. That's the last and the best Atelier of Arland trilogy. Its looking is so beautiful and colorful. Battles have been improved and it is cooler.
Not to mention the alchemy stuff. There are so many things to do. It's amazing!

Perfect
Everything is great. Graphic 10, music 10, story 10, gameplay 10, characters 10, jap voice acting 10, epic special attacks 10, meruru is likable main char like totori 10. This is a must play if you like JRPG. If you are allergic to anything anime then please skip it instead of bringing down the score.

Decent ending to a series
Atelier Meruru did what is should as the final game in the trilogy, keeping what should be kept from the first 2 installment, and removed whatever should be. While that mean there is no breakthrough from the previous installments, it served the purpose as the closer of the Arland storyline.

A good supplement to the series!
You directly feel familiar if you have played previous parts. But even if you haven't, you get fool-proof tutorials and now even more self-explanatory symbols. As far as gameplay is concerned, nothing has changed, which is good. What remains is an entertaining round-based JRPG with a sweet story.
However, it's not worth over 50$ anymore. If interested, you should wait until it re-enters the weekly deals or look for different offers

A nice little, laid-back RPG
**From my review of the Asian English version**

So, I was looking for an RPG with a relaxing and nice story, with cute characters in cel-shaded anime graphics... It's funny that I found this game that has all of that.

The battles go in a turn basis, like a classic RPG. The game centers around a really addicting and deep crafting system and has a nice, simple, relaxing story.

Its only downfall is that its quiety demanding in some aspects about raising the population of different places, as the game goes in a day cycle, so there are a few things that are important to do, so this takes away a bit of the relax, which didn't happen as much in Atelier Totori.

Still, Its great to support NIS America that has been bringing all these japanese games that no one else would have cared about translating. I will keep supporting them so we can get more and more japanese games.

Best chance to purchase!
One of PS family's exclusive franchise for a long time.
But you need to understand the system as well as the storyline. Now it's easier to do that since it's all in English. Casual battles, Enjoyable characters & Story.

Relaxing end to a relaxing series
Meruru really picked up from its 2 predecessors, correcting what need to be and keeping what worth keeping. The story is light and relaxing as always, and is a satisfying ending to the Arland series. Fans of the series would enjoy this and newcomer would have little difficulty picking up the game as it has an easy learning curve with enough tutorials around to guide you.

Perfect end to Arland
Meruru is the third and final game for Gust's Alchemist of Arland series and it's a great way to go out. The graphics have taken an amazing step up from Atelier Totori and the soundtrack features wonderful new pieces as well as some fantastic remixes of old themes. In terms of game systems, Meruru mixes elements of the first two Arland games with the addition of kingdom building. Using alchemy to improve Arus is fun, and it's great to see your efforts transform not only the look of the land, but also the enemies you fight and the ingredients you gather.

The premium box gets you a paperweight, a drama CD, and a little keychain of Meruru. The drama CD comes with some fun extras and the keychain is very well made. I was most impressed with the paperweight. You also get a sturdy cardboard box that's good for display.

All in all I'm very pleased with Meruru. It's a fantastic way to end the Arland series. Plenty of characters return and the new ones are just as lovable. This being an Atelier game, expect a ton of different endings. Really looking forward to whatever Gust has in plan for the Atelier series after this one.

The best Atelier yet
For the game itself, if you're familiar or even love the Atelier series, you'll fall head over heels for this game. The graphics are incredible. Kinda shoujo-manga like, but the in game graphics and character artwork is just so good you'll think you're playing a manga. Basically, you're helping Meruru to help her country prosper, using alchemy. If she managed to do that in three years time, her father would fully approve of her being an alchemist. If not, she has to follow her royalty bloodline's rules and succeed her father. In this game you'll be collecting alchemical ingredients while adventuring / RPG ing.

Now for the Premium Package itself, you'll be getting a Crystal paper weight and a small Nendoroid. Hardly justifies the price, though if you're a die hard Atelier fan, there's no hurt in getting this one. I'm happy with it myself.
