description
A sequel to Roronoa no Atelier, Totori takes place 10 years after the first game and takes place in the Arland Republic, a fantasy world complete with monsters, knights, alchemists and adventure.
The adventurer is a glorious profession, a lot of teenagers grew up dreaming to become one, this include Totori and Shino. Yet, unlike other teenagers, Totori has another reason to become an adventurer; she has to find her mother, who went missing during one of the more dangerous missions.
Train under Roronoa, learn about item synthesis, go on swashbuckling adventures with your friends and find clues on Totori's mother's disappearance. Soft water color graphics, an intriguing cast of characters, Totori no Atelier is a game for the whole family.

Nice game with a warm story
Atelier is a very cute game. Gathering and making new items is fun. Overall the gameplay is good including battle.
Its good that the game has Dual Audio (ENG/JP) with english subtitles.

I just lately decided to try the Atelier games just in a search for an RPG to play, and I have to say that the game is really good.
It has a relaxing and nice story, with cute characters and nicely done turn-based RPG battles.

If you liked Atelier Rorona and are looking for a similar experience with a few upgrades, you will really enjoy this game, especially if you enjoyed the characters in Rorona...Keep in mind, if fetch quests are not your thing, or if you can't stand bubbly characters, you may want to steer clear of this game.

nothing special actually, it's just the usual atelier gameplay with 3D graphics. the only thing that improved from the previous entries of atelier entries is the graphic. If you are a fan of atelier gameplay with the alchemy things, you will like it anyway.

Not A Game For Everybody
Despite being a commendable game, not everyone might enjoy it. If you like having a much more laid back RPG in your repertoire, then this game might be for you.

Improvement
While the game did not see much changes from Atelier Rorona, the producers did a good job in retaining all the positive elements and improving on whatever needed. A relaxing game of JRPG-alchemist simulator-character development hybrid, which is what the market is lacking of nowadays.

A refreshing experience
Played Atelier Rorona before and it really didn't appeal to me. Maybe it was because of superdeformed character models or a subpar battle system.. I don't know. One thing can be said for sure - Atelier Totori is a huge improvement over the first HD installment in so many ways. Perfect for getting started with Atelier series.

A great sequel for a great game!
As a big fan of Atelier Rorona, I must say that I am EXTREMELY pleased for being able to play this sequel. The graphic is MUCH better, the gameplay is more balanced, and overall, it gives you more freedom.
If you love Atelier Rorona, then this game is a must-have.

Great for some,tedious for others.
It's obvious that a lot of time and care has gone into this game and you really feel the vibrant colours and sound bring it too life.

Very Nice
After enjoyed Rorona, Totori has a lot improvement in the game. Even comparing to 3, it has something even better.
I would say the character design in Totori is my favorite in the series.

A Great JRPG and Addictive Sequel!
A great game for JRPG lovers and sequel for those who played the award winning Atelier Rorona.
Great graphics with loads of improvements on battle systems, alchemy interface, adventurer tasks, characters, and loads more to explore!
The game has no English Subtitle for now but if you understand basic Japanese Terms you will understand what the conversations are talking about.
The event quests may become a bit hard to manage but overall its a must play game!

Very addictive
For weeks I haven't been able to put down this game, it's just.... too freaking cute!! Nothing different about it from it's prequel, outside of the prequel characters aging. Still very fun messing around with the alchemy system, still lots of exploring, and overall a fun game. But the big thing for me, is the characters are very cute!!

Great Game
Totori has a great system.. if you are familiar with the Atelier series, you will still be doing alot of alchemy and taking on side jobs.
But compared to previous works, i find that the drawing and the art of this game is better and cuter.
Highly recommended~

Excellent light-hearted JRPG
Great game, got it after playing FFXIII. Much more open-ended and less serious, but still challenging. If you liked the time management of Persona 3 or 4, then Totori also has a similar calendar system.
Awesome game; highly recommended.

Those who've played Rorona will instantly appreciate the improved elements such as battle tempo, menu layout, shortcuts, and 3D characters which look much more like Mel Kishida's designs. Trophy requirements have become much more simplified but in turn depth is added to each one. Average playtime is probably around 35-50 hours.
Overall, it's certainly 5 stars within Gust standards, but I gave it a 4 in an attempt to be fair. If you like Rorona or any of the Atelier series in the past, then this is a game for you.
