It comes with Bluetooth Keyboard
It Is a typing game but also it contains KEYBOARD.
You could connect this only if your device is compatible
with Bluetooth connectivity. Ipad or Pc is also working but some keys are not completely same as Windows' but a very cute & tiny sized keboard looks nice.

Great typing teaching game!
This game is definitely something different. I would say that this is probably the best typing teacher game, even better than those old Mario Teaches Typing games for Apple. Absolutely no Japanese is required in this game. The way this game works is that it is designed to teach Japanese people how to type using an English keyboard with Pokemon Japanese names written in Ronamji. This is also a great typing instructor for non-Japanese players too because most Americans do not know all the Pokemon names in Japanese, so they can't just type the names from memory.
Basically, the more you progress, the faster the Pokemon appear and you need to type their names quicker to catch them. The less mistakes you make, the more points and medals you get. If you are very fast and can catch all the Pokemon, you get a medal and a boss battle at the end. If you do this flawlessly, you get the gold medal.
You progress by navigating a keyboard that is like the world map and more stages unlock as you beat the older ones. One plus side of this game is that you do not need to use the keyboard, you can just use the touchscreen. So if your batteries die, you cantell the game not to use the keyboard, and you can continue playing. The keyboard will also work with almost any wireless device compatible with keyboards since this is a Linux keyboard that will work on Windows.

Battle and get Pokemon typing Game for DS
Really great way to interact with typing keyboard. The keyboard works with other peripherals too. I agree with Corinne 2's remarks about the quality of the keyboard and the way it works well with Ipad etc. The game itself is fun too so it is a win-win :-)

Worth your money as a adult, despite being for kids
First, let's get the obvious out of the way.
This is a game designed to help children in Japan learn to type, or type better. It's VERY simple at first, but as the game goes on, it gets harder and harder. So hard, an expert typist will have trouble even getting a Bronze metal.
One odd thing is that, even though it's using Pokemon names, it doesn't use the copyrighted names. Instead, it uses Nihon-shiki romanization.
For example, Zorua is the same in English and Japanese, but in the game they spell it Zoroa.
(I, personally, do not understand why this is, but maybe some Japanese people might know why they did this)
The major things about this game isn't even the game itself. It comes with it's own Bluetooth keyboard. Meaning you can be playing this game, then switch to using the Keyboard on your iOS device or even your PS3.
Do keep in mind that this IS a Japanese keyboard, and the layout is slightly different. All the letters are in the same place, it's just all the minor stuff that's switched around.
I do enjoy this game and find it a good way to both, learn the names of Pokemon in Japanese, and be able to learn some Kana.
It's worth your money and you won't be sorry, especially with that Keyboard.

no iOS connectivity
Disappointed that I couldn't connect the keyboard to my iOS devices. That being said, it's a fantastic little pick up for any one interested in it.

Fantastic DS peripheral!
A great package with a fantastic peripheral. However, if you don't know your Pokémon by sight, you will be SOL for the gold medal!
Now we just need Sega to release "The Typing of the Dead" for the DS and make use of this great peripheral! PLEASE SEGA, PLEASE!!!

A really great Christmas present
I don't think this game will be sold one day in France, so it's a really big opportunity to be able to play it. The game interface is understandable, even for the one who don't know a word in Japanese, and the keyboard works well, even on my Mac and iPad ^^
Buy it, and you won't regret it, it's a valuable investment !

Awesome experience
When I first heard of this game I was a bit skeptical about a typing game featuring pokemon. After I tried it out it turned out to be an enjoyable experience and was fun to learn the names of Pokemon in Japanese. I recommend this to anyone that wants a different out of the ordinary experience you normally would get from a Pokemon game. Trust me on this you will not regret buying it cause I definitely didn't.

Both speed typing and Pokemon knowledge are required
At first glance, the game looks like just a Typing of the Dead with Pokemon instead of zombies. But there is an important difference. In a typical typing game, the word or phrase to be typed is first displayed on the screen, and then you type it in. In Pokemon Typing, the Pokemon first appears, and then only after a couple of seconds is its name displayed on the screen. Thus, the Pokemon sage can get a flying start and begin typing as soon as the Pokemon appears, while the Pokemon illiterate has to wait for the name to be displayed before he can type. It is not difficult to get the bronze medals for most of the stages, and clear the game and see the ending, as long as one can type reasonably fast and accurately. But in order to get gold medals and high scores, and gain access to certain locked stages, one must not only be able to touch-type (i.e. type without peeking at the keyboard), but also one needs to be able to identify most of the Pokemon from their appearance. In many stages, no matter how fast you can type, if you don't recognize the Pokemon, you are effectively limited to the silver medal until you learn the Pokemon.

Very well done
I have greatly enjoyed my time with this game. The difficulty goes up in stages, which is much nicer than being dropped right in the deep end, and a variety of different types of stages keep the game from becoming stale.
The included keyboard is very nice. Not at all something that comes off as a cheapest-possible-option choice as might be a concern for some. I would definitely use it outside the game for typing.
If it seems to appeal to you, I would definitely recommend playing this.

Fun Little Game
Pokémon Typing is exactly the kind of silly Japanese thing that I love to play. It's pretty easy to understand without knowing Japanese, and it could certainly help you learn better typing. I haven't tried using the keyboard on iOS or Android yet, but it is possible which means if you're in the market for a Bluetooth keybord, this would be a good purchase (assuming you can get it, that it).

A useful learning aid
Unless you have a firm grasp of japanese then this game will prove to be pretty challenging, language barrier plays a big part of the game since you have to learn all of the pokémon names in japanese, although as the gameplay goes everything you type is english roman characters.
The keyboard itself, though small, feels very natural to type on, and the gameplay is easy enough to simply beat, but tough to master.
