I really like the game. The story is pretty good and the game play is surprisingly interesting. The voice work is very nice, and the boss battles are awesome.

Worth playing
Binary Domain is a very interesting action RPG. What I liked the most about the game is the story line which really gets your attention and a cool trust system with your partners.
Also, if you have an mic, you can answer the chat options with your own voice. It kind of gives some immersion to the game.

I bought this game without expecting nothing special, but after I started to play it I could not stop until finished it (10 hours). The shooting quality can not be compared with some AAA western games, but it is very very fun and the story is intriguing. Really I suggest this game to everybody.

A mix of Terminator, Blade Runner, Ghost in The Shell and Vexille come a great 3rd person shooter game from the maker of Yakuza series. This game offers a non-stop action from beginning to the end. This game is really a lot of fun. The story is reasonable, but the gameplay is quite good. While you may not have heard of this game before, I think it'd be unfortunate to overlook as most any first person shooter fan will enjoy it. I recommend any shooter fan to buy.

before I trash this game, I want to say something good about it. Its a fun game. The game play is good. BUT I really don't know how production companies let games like this be made. It is like they let unsupervised children make these things. The dialogue is terrible. By the end of the game my ears were bleeding from the awful dialogue and worse 1-liners. The guy who wrote this game, calls the synthetics "hollow children" but they present this concept to you in such a blatant way and then shove it down your throat every chance they get like the author was so proud of this term he coined and wants you to know how cool he thinks he is. Look at the "skin jobs" in Blade Runner. Most people didn't even know they are called skin jobs. on multiple watchings or fans of the film pick it up. Subtly is the key to GOOD story telling. book, movie, or game. This game lack ALL subtly. and the characters. OMG! typical stereotypical characters. so flat and boring and predictable. I can see it now. the person who wrote this game is a 14 year Japanese kid sitting in his room and the only exposure to what he thinks is the out the outside world is his manga magazines and terrible Hollywood movies. except its not a 14 years Japanese kid, its a 35 years Japanese man, who is still in that SAME room, still not having left it, or actually realizing what people out side his comics and movie are really are like, but now somehow he got a job writing and creating game scripts for a mutlimillion dollar company. The game is solid, the writing, dialogue, characters are 100% juvenile. b-grade at best. But most gamers don't care about that. So enjoy!

Even though I enjoy gears of war, i have always found it very generic and devoid of mmm.... let΄s say soul....
While this game is very fun and challenging, gameplay can΄t compare to that of GoW, however it has a lot other things going for it, like likable characters, futuristic distopian setting, and some other stuff that GoW sorely lacks. Be sure to give it a try, and support Sega΄s efforts to bring us new IPs.

What makes Binary Domain fun is the sheer joy of killing robots. They are a lot more fun to destroy because they fall apart in pieces and are very tenacious.
The story is fun with very entertaining squad members that join you at different parts of the game.
There are also plenty of boss battles and they come in all shapes and size.

Nice Game With Robots
Binary Domain is a nice addition to the third person shooting action game with a campaign which upon completion leaves you satisfied. The graphics are above average & overall a good package.

Binary Domain is a good return to form for Sega, who managed to take the third person shooter, brighten it up and make it fun. Combat is the failry standard cover shooter style game, but the ability to maim and dismantle the enemy adds a level of strategy and is surprisingly enjoyable. I don't think I ever got tired of picking off random limbs or headshots and see the various mechanical enemies flail about in disarray.
On top of the normal enemies, Sega have brought out some really good imaginative boss encounters. You'll have the standard, Giant Robots and flying machines, but then you'll get a curve ball in the form of a huge Gorilla or Spider which requires you to take them apart, piece by piece in order to finish the fight.
Aside from the combat, the dialog and writing is surprisingly well done. Not award winning, but the chatter between your rag-tag bunch of jerks (and they are total jerks) kept the experience relatively light.
BD is well worth a try. It might not be as technically impressive as something like Gears of War, but it manages to capture an element of arcadey action that's been sorely missed in the genre.

This game is good but not fantastic, not fantastic but fun. How do i put it...its a love & hate relationship on this game..It plays like gears of war but GOW is better but there is some element in this game that is better than GOW. You got to get this game to find it out yourself.

fun game, TERRIBLE dialogue
This is a pretty fun game, but short. I finished it in under 10 hours. BUT the dialogue and characters sound like they were written by a Japanese High School kid. "holla if ya dead" Hilarious. no not really. The thing about many Japanese game is they over use stereotypes becuase thats all they know. The black guy in this game is the typical "yo dog" black guy. The white American is the typical GI JOE white soldier dude. The writer seems like he came up with some cool ideas and concepts like "hollow children" but them shoves them down your throat. There is no subtly in the story telling. OTHER than that it was a fun ride. There is good writing out there. Like Ghost in Shell and MGS4. Then you have games like this and Vanquish. They are good games, but I can't believe the writers of the story and dialogue didn't have someone saying: "this sounds a little juvenile"

Surprisingly good
It's a big surprise that this game basically didn't get any advertising and wasn't really pushed in any way, so it was forgotten quickly. The gameplay is solid and the cutscenes are entertaining. It's a very good game and worth picking up. Even better if you play co-op with friends.

SEGA's GOW
Great third person shooter from a legendary gaming company. The storyline, gameplay, & audio are all excellent. The idea of shooting all limbs from an enemy before they're completely destroyed is an excellent concept. This game reminds me a lot of the GOW series, but better. Great buy.

Best Robot shooting game
Highlights of the game is essentially the way you kill the robot and the reactions they do when they are dead by coming after your leg or shooting you with one hand. This action puts Binary Domain ahead of the others, the controls can be a bit too sticky at times but with the humor in place everything fits in well. A well worth purchase at its low price.

Great Game!!
this is a very good game and a must get for those who like third person shooter. its fast with lotsa action right from the start and with some humour.
controls are easy to master and the story is excellent with some twist and has hollywood movie potential.
the downside is there are very few choices for weapons as well as squad members to choose from.
overall a must buy for ps3 game lovers.

Binary Domain's combat is pretty straightforward but surprisingly fun. Taking pages out of Gears of War and Mass Effect, Binary Domain has a very well-implemented cover system that you'll use throughout the game's various firefights. You can hop in and out of cover with a simple button push, and can use your surroundings to great effect as you try to get into a prime firing location. You'll have the standard gamut of weapons at your disposal, like LMGs, sniper rifles, etc., but you'll also have nifty gizmos like Decoy grenades or your assault rifle's alt-fire energy blast, giving you options on how exactly you can dispatch your mechanical foes. Your enemies will be robots of varying size, type and difficulty, which helps ensure that gameplay doesn't get too repetitive after you've blasted through your umpteenth tin can. You also can aim your shots and disable a robot's legs to slow them down or take off their heads to cause them to attack their allies. While for the most part you'll just be aiming dead center and blasting away, it's nice to see that there's a little bit of strategy available in how you fight. There are several rail-shooter sequences and a handful of quick-time events to break up the action here and there as well. You'll be thrown up against some rather large and imposing cybernetic beasts in the game's boss fights, each one so different from the other I started to wonder who exactly in Amada's R&D department thought building a huge robot super-gorilla was a good idea. Unfortunately one issue with the boss fights is they have a tendency to take most of the usual gameplay features, like the whole "taking cover to avoid death" business, and throw them right out the window. When you take on a colossal, spider-like mobile fortress or quad-engine airplane, you'll be dashing around frantically with your finger pressed down on the trigger or hunting down a heavy weapon in order to take them down. In a way, it does break up the normal combat routine you'll usually follow, but on the flip side it ends up leading to some particularly frustrating in-game deaths.

THE NEW SNATCHER
This game rules!!!!!
I'm a big fan of the ryu ga gotoku serie and, naturally, of the new "ryu ga gotoku studio". Binary Domain keeps me as a fan!
The gameplay is good and the voice command system is quite good (sometimes it don't work so well but it's ok, you can play with it) but...
The story is SO great!!! I was hoping that Kojima would do a new Snatcher, and my dream comes true. Except for the part that it's not Kojima who did it, but ryu ga gotoku studio.
If you're a fan of sci-fi, androids and good storytelling, it's a must-have!!!!
PS: If you can play this game in japanese, it's really better, the voice acting is really really great (japanese quality). In english, the voice acting is bad (as always...)

Initially, I was not sure how much fun this game can bring to me, even after played the demo, not that impressive.
I still went ahead to get a copy, English version...since the Japanese version does not "RECOGNIZE" my Japanese well.....and some words I forgot how to pronounce, so.... Well..English version has some prolem with voice recognition as well, but better than Japanese version.
I started with normal lever and after first chapter, I get a better feeling of it. The more I played, I loved this game more.
Now, I have finished easy and normal levels, tried some online play, and I am in the middle of surviver level. I don't feel bored even though the pattern of attack is pretty much the same. It is the game playing, the shooting, and progress that make me so excited about this game.
The story line is good, but it still depends on personal thought. I skeep the comment on the story line. I well say the story line make sense and is really good.

A super awesome third person shooting game!
I was doubting how good this game could be before purchasing it. I checked on line sources but there were not many useful information...so...after tried out the demo version, I went ahead to get a copy as "getting to know it!" After all, I like hird person shooting game.
Got it few days ago and started playing since 2 days ago, also tried the online mode ...... I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!
To put a simple comment: This game is in between Gears of War and Vanquish! It has the feeling like vanquish --- high speed and killing robots with multiple types of weapons and tactics. It also like Gears of War --- You can try to be one man hero and then WILL be killed like a rookie. You have to work out with your team mates to break though a bullet storm, though sometimes they do not do exactly you have planned in your head.
Voice commanding system has a problem that it may mistakenly recognize any kind of voice as a response and gives out the answer you did not say....too many times.... Even though I tried to adjust the sensitivity, there was always a problem with accurate recognition.
Overall, I strongly recommend this game to all third person shooting game lovers. This game is really worthy to play.

Wow great game!
Wow this game is great. I was kind of hesitant after I ordered it, but now I am really glad I did. The controls are very simple and the story is great. A little similar to Gears but it is definately not gears. You can use your voice to issue orders, but you don't have to use a head set if you don't want to. The graphics are great. I highly recomend it you won't regret it!

Binary Domain is a really strong third person action shooter.
Set in 2080, the Japanese corporation Amada has been charged with creating androids who are virtually indistinguishable from humans known as Hollow Children. Since these Hollow Children are a direct violation of an updated Geneva convention, your team is sent in to arrest Amada and bring him to trial. However Japan has become isolationist, and you must do this covertly without authorisation or knowledge of the Japanese government.
Binary Doman is a solid shooter, and a welcome break from the norm. Although it has it's issues, the cover mechanic can be awkward and the voice chat feature is little more than a gimmick and doesn't truly affect your game all that much, the story is interesting and fresh enough and the characters are likable enough to keep you engaged.
I would entirely recommend this, easily a must buy for Playstation owners. Or people who want to experience a Gears of War style game with likable characters.
