description
Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D delivers the intense Mercenaries gameplay experience on a handheld console. Featuring re-mastered stages from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, its a race against time as players try to defeat as many enemies as possible before the countdown reaches zero. The fast-paced, combat intensive action of Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D is available both as a solo experience or gamers across the world can team up and enjoy two-player co-op via network play.
Gamers will have the opportunity to tackle the games missions with legendary Resident Evil characters from past and present. These include Chris Redfield, Krauser, Hunk and, making her debut in a Mercenaries game, Claire Redfield.
While the gameplay will be familiar to those who have previously played Mercenaries, changes have been implemented to the stages and characters have been transformed to full 3D, the addition of the ability to move and shoot adds new gameplay tactics, and the addition of touch screen functionality improves access to the inventory and game map.

I can't get enough!!!
Okay, first to say that if you want RE portable go with Revelations.
Second, one you pass the not too good controls you will have a nice evening.
Third, bear in mind that this game does not have history, it is just missions with different known characters and in different known locations from RE 4 and 5.
This is a game perfect for the go or for people that have little free time.
If you like RE you should buy this one and Revelations.
It is one of my favourite games for the 3DS until now!
If the money in your pockets is enough you should be buying it!

Wasted Potential or rushed product?
I'll start by saying that if you're looking for Resident Evil on 3DS, go for Revelations. That one is a great game and a full experience and wasn't rushed for 3DS launch window. With that in mind,I'll say that Mercenaries 3D is really fun,but does not have much to give, specially if you don't like an action-oriented arcade style game. All you do is play (hard) missions with one of the characters, receive a grade for your performance, receive exp to upgrade unlockable skills and then try to improve your score.
For the gameplay, this one does stay closer to RE4 and RE5 than the aforementioned one,so if you do want more Resident Evil action for 3DS...then I'd recommend it if you are a fan.
There is online and local multiplayer, the controls are fine (being clunky is part of it :D) ,graphics are good(with minor framerate problems with distant enemies), there is an option to aim in third or first person view, sounds work and there is a tiny early RE:Revelations Demo.
