Additional features include co-op, versus and team-based multiplayer options, new vehicles like the SR-71 Blackbird and lethal new weapons such as explosive-tipped crossbows.

Call of Duty made by Treyarch only can be succeed!
addicted to COD yet this time black ops has proof it to be one of the best FPS ever.
Viva COD black ops!!!
Call of duty Black ops has brand new features such as combat training the player also play with bots for practice of fps game or if you like zombie it's also included too.
i use to love this game. :)
This game is awesome!! such a great game ever.
Best of the Best!
i will buy again on this store.
This game is the best CoD
This limited edition has been hard to find for me, thanks so much for stocking it.
The best fps!
great campaign!! great story!! awesome graphic!!
the zombie coop multiplayer is soooo addictive!!!!
this game is very great, nice game play.
great audio and visual graphic effect.
you must try it now.
This one is better than MW2 for sure and great story line that very sticky on it , Shooting fan don't miss!
BUY BUY BUY
With great graphics and awesome base history this game really rocks,if you play on the hardest level you are going to suffer because is really hard....but the history will make you want to play more and more,is a really good game
The game have a amazing history and the multiplayer is the best between shooter games
I prefer MW2, BO game engine is pretty poor.
yes very nice!
Amazing game and seller, but i prefer CoD MW2, waiting for now MW3 ;D Thanks play-asia
I usually don't like COD that much but I found Black Ops really enjoyable. The story was much more interesting to me than Modern Warfare. It's just a shame it was over so quickly.
Multiplayer is the main reason people will buy this game and it won't disappoint. It's still the slickest FPS experience on consoles. I found the multiplayer to be overall more balanced and fun than MW2. Zombies is also a heap of fun to play with friends.
I love the series and is just a great game to just sit back relax and kill 5 out of 5
This game is so over-hyped and over-praised it isnt funny.
The Single player clocks in about 5 hours. It is longer, but has a bunch of movies you HAVE to watch and can not skip even on mutlie playthrough. On hard difficutles levels the game is so cheap it isnt funny. It is not hard and does not require skill. It is just cheap. You can go on youtbube and see videos how to beat it on the hardest difficutly level. It is 100% dependent on where to stand!!! So you either look up video or just trial and error, basically making the single player a rail-shooter. The graphics are good notch BELOW Modernwarfare 2. I know this game is Vietnam era, and the weapons in this game are boring! I love modern guns, and I love WW2 era guns, but 70's era guns suck! sorry its the truth.
The multiple player has been so "refined" that basically you spawn and kill and die over and over again every 3 seconds. just run, hope you see some one, then either die or kill. There is no strategy involved in this game, no team work. The levels are SUPER SUPER small. Other COD titles required you to adapt. Short range weapons like SMG for indoors and smaller levels, assault for med range, rifles and snipers for long range. In Black ops, its is all med range, if you have an SMG, you will die. Sniping is impossible. There is nothing to adapt to, just spawn run and die/kill. REALLY small levels, with lots of corners. One level is jsut two houses, it takes about 3 min for a team to rack up 100 kills. Some of the most asinine and boring multiplayer I have ever played in my entire life, and this is coming from a life long COD fan. I beat the game on all difficulty levels, and put about 40 hours into the multiplayer until I came to my senses and accepted how much I really hated this game and how truly inferior it is to MW2 and BF Bad Company 2.
COD is still one of the greatest fps franchise ever. If you love COD series, you cannot skip this one. Awesome game.
Ok i have waited and waited long to get hold on this game and it really pays up.... it' a FANTASTIC GAME... the story line and the implementation of interrogating is awesome....superb job by COD team.... IT'S A MUST HAVE!!! wud wanna commend play-asia as well for the delivery of the product within 4 days at my doorstep. Thx guys...
This is a great game with a very good campaign. Only bad side about the campaign is that it is short. But it makes up for it with its amazing multiplayer.
realy good , man , a classic war game , ahhaha , realy like it
cool man, this game is very cool, with nice graphic and game play is so easy to control it. you must try it. thanks
A good call of duty, but not the best in serie.
nice to play especially on wii..
I can't fault the game mechanics or the story (though the suicide game scene was stolen from the film Deer Hunter) but I always felt like I was being taken away from the action. I would be progressing nicely through a level when I would be suddenly blown up and the game would cut to another interrogation scene. Frustrating.
This is a good game, good action, in my opinion this is better than MW 1 that was totally over-rated. It is really interesting how they tell the story in this game, that was something innovative. I don t think this is the best game in the series because, from the ones I have played, that title goes to COD 3.
Another great game in the COD series. Campaign a bit short, but the multiplayer is excellent.
I enjoyed this game but I felt that the AI wasn't as good as MW2 and on one stage I couldn't activate the next sequence even though I had reached the destination and had to restart the game. Another time the machine gun sound from my gun boat became jammed and didn't stop even when I saved and came back to it but had to restart the level again. A bit frustrating but the action is good.
this game totally rawkinG
The single player is relatively short but entertaining and throughly characteristic of ALL the games the proceed it. The multi-player is just as much fun as MW2 and previous titles. I really want to hate this game just for the fact that is has become a bloated cash-cow but the pure joy of combat in this game make it great for a quick 20min blast or a serious gaming session alike. The icing on the cake is the great zombies mode - particularly with the Call of the Dead (Escalation) DLC.
Gameplay very good, and great graphics!! Have nice fun!!!
Sound - 10
Action - 10
Gameplay - 6...
If you're trying to complete this in vet, and taking you're time, your PS3 well freeze up and lag , thus the score drop...
Great game to play BTW
Very good game with a great image and sound quality! Very recommended! Just waiting PSN be restored in order to test is online! Hope it happens soon!
Another Hitz title from COD series,
it might not as good as modern warfare series,
but cant deny that its still a good game...
if only the price for hardened edition could go cheaper,
or with more valuable contents...
Not just graphic and sound quality etc... COD has become a phenomenon in the game industry!! the success of COD made all others imitate, The expenrience to the war has been lift up to the new level. People will buy the game even its twice expensive as the other games.
What a game dude.... can't wait to get my hands on it... Prestige edition looks very promising.....with the car and the medalliion.... super like.... great graphics and story base.... mera no kab aayega???
Not just graphic and sound quality etc... COD has become a phenomenon in the game industry!! the success of COD made all others imitate, The expenrience to the war has been lift up to the new level. People will buy the game even its twice expensive as the other games.
Call of Duty is synonymous with online multiplayer FPS. The franchise tends not to be groundbreaking in any area by any means however for an online multiplayer experience, it is an easy choice. Black Ops doesn't stand out in terms of features, but it is very reliable as there are a vast amount of players on all platforms. The multiplayer in the latest installment of CoD is much more balanced and provides some new features which make the overall experience better.
Arrived quickly and the order was processed within the time frame given. when i bought this i had low hopes from all the forums flaming the product. I also felt i couldn't trust the reviews by some of the larger gaming websites as some are more 'pre-disposed' to give a better review to COD. when i played the campaign i was taken back by how good the graphics where in comparison to MW2. The multiplayer is much better now its been patched and any COD fan will enjoy. I would recommend this game to any COD fan, worth the money in my opinion!
This game is incredibly awesome!
Great storyline & intense action FPS.
You'll get everything you want from a shooter game.
There isn't much new here. They brought zombies back and I love that. It's just another thing of the same thing. If you like any of the older CoD, you will prolly like this. If you hated it, you won't like it anymore.
This game is great. Great graphics. Adventure to the end
Wonderful game. Fine graphic scenes and very well done.
Action, Action, Action, great game, great graphics, cannot stop playing!
This game lives in the shadow of the modern warfare series. It's as good but no better. The time line is really catchy makes remember MGS3. But the story was cut by all the chapters jumping all ouer the place.
i own mw1 and black ops, and bo is definitely the best one of the two.
This game rock for the ps3. Single player is immersing and multiplayer keeps you hooked.
The singleplayer may not be as off-the-chain crazy as the Modern Warfare games, but it's still a fun romp through many different environments. Also the multiplayer is addictive like a drug!
Call of duty black ops has an engrossing single player campaign and great multiplayer although sometimes the lag can be terrible. It is more or less similar to previous call of duty series and those who loved the previous call of duty games will find black ops great and familiar. There's also a zombie mode included in the game!!!Graphics are also really superb and the game runs really smooth in single player campaign.
The game is not bad, but probably easier to control on PC version. Although the graphic on xbox 360 is always better. One of the reason that I bought my xbox=P
I am not one for serious war FPS games. I havent touched the single player campaign at all. However, I do like the multiplayer aspect of the game. It is extremely fun and addictive. You can even play splitscreen online as well which is great if you have a friend around. If you want a fun and deep multiplayer game, then black ops is for you.
I personally do not like shooter title very much but this one is a must buy as everyone is saying that itís probably the best series of Call of duty. Fortunately, I bought this during the offer period and I think itís worth to keep as a collection. The graphic seems not bad but gameplay wise and plot are pretty much repetitive like its predecessors. I really hope a new destructive feature will be added in future series and this probably mean a new engine needed for the dream to come true. Anyway, thanks for the great price offer, Play-asia.
solid online sandbox multiplayer, fast paced, hard to explain story, lots of guns. a bit of fun, but dont put it down for too long, you might not pick it back up
The latest CoD is a lot of fun. Multiplayer has added a betting system, and a monetary element which is needed to upgrade your weapons and looks. Otherwise there is no real difference in gameplay. It plays like the rest of the franchise.
The solo player campaign is a bit short and far fetched. Not much to brag about on that issue but the multiplayer is what most people pick it up for and I don't think you will be disappointed on that front.
Bought the game about 3 weeks ago. I think I made the right decision, because the action keeps you in front of the screen along with an OK story. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet. First I wanna finish the Singleplayer Mode. Definititely a godd BUY!
Amazing game, although nos so accurate about the history plot, but nice graphics, and multi-players are addictive too
This game is amazing. Its very good graphics.
the campaign is great although i feel that it is too short. i cant get enough of the campaign. the zombie mode is very fun and highly addictive. great game. totally worth buying
Excellent graphics and gameplay. Single player mission is short, but challenging. The game's strength lies in its multiplayer gameplay. Hours & hours of FUN !!
This game is really addictive! Great graphics and story! Love CoD series.
My first take on the Call of Duty series and I am happily disappointed because even though the story is kind of short the gameplay, graphics and the fun-factor fills out all the addiction I need.
Looking forward for the next installment already! /no1
Great campaign and even better multiplayer and possibility to play on split screen. Awesome sound effects. Worth buying.
awesome multiplayer gameplay, cool customisations and very handy having playing 2plyr online. short but fun single player
That game its really impresive like modern warfare series, but its not better than warfare 2 its more like a sequence.
The story mode is very good, graphics, sound everything is 5 stars and the online modes are the best part of it, new modes, new customization... what else could I say? just buy it and join the team.
Great offline story.
Amazing online interaction and varied maps/objectives.
Similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1, but with many improvements.
Ordered this on Monday & received on Saturday, supposedly reached my doorstep on Wednesday, but there's no 1 around. Have to praise Play-Asia for giving such a very good service.
And do I need to tell you about the games!? Addicted, especially on the multiplayer. Treyarch always capture my attention for its multiplayer game mode, compared to Infinity Wards.
Call of Duty: Black OPs is a decent enough game with some excellent moments during the single player campaign (Rolling Stones... need I say more?). However, the game is very short with around 5-6 hours game play.
The multiplayer experience is okay, but really nothing new compared to MW2. Once you've played long enough you reach Level 50 and then have the option to either stay there or 'Prestige' and start all over again. You end up doing it simply because there really isn't much point as the experience no longer matters. If you are an avid fan of the series then no doubt it won't matter, but I would have liked some more variety.
I was also disappointed that online squad missions from MW2 were left out from Black Ops. If there was any game to which such challenges were suited it was this one more so than MW2.
All in all, I think Battlefield 2: Bad Company is a better game with the destructible environment and far more realistic game play. Black Ops is more of an arcade run-through for Halo-hopping fans than a tactical war game.
It has its moments, but it really depends on what you are looking for in a game.
Who acquires this game doesn't regret. A lot of excitation and fun in only one game.
A great game! The best!
Great storyline, hard game
As usual speedy shipment from play-asia, 9 days and I had the game in my hands
I received without problem!! The game is perfect!
The graphics and scenery of Call of Duty: Black Ops are what stuck out in my mind. If you like the action of the previous entries in the series, there's nothing here you won't like.
The single player campaign was a little shorter than I would've liked, but there's always multi-player if you need more after you finish the main story.
4.6 out of 5 from me.
This game is better than MW2, mutch better than I was spectating.
Congratulations on a job very well done Activision; each installment of Call of Duty improves on the last. Black Ops was challenging in the single player story mode, with great AI & an interesting storyline. Unbeknown to me at the time but, on completion of an exciting single player, I figured I'd give the multiplayer a try.
Well, after having many hours of extremely embarrassing score lines (where I died 20-30 times more than I killed any of my fellow competitors), my patience & persistence finally started to pay off. All I can say is that it's extremely addictive - the price of the game is more than worth it. Keep it up Activision, I can't wait until the next Call of Duty release!
The successor to COD:MW2, Black Ops definitely had big shoes to fill... and for the most part it succeeded.
The gameplay is slightly different from MW2, but essentially the same.
Single player is ...intense... It is pretty much non-stop action, and can be BRUTALLY difficult in some areas! The premise (you are being tortured for information) is really interesting and definitely is a new twist on things.
The heart and soul of the game is definitely the multiplayer. MW2 fans WILL feel the difference, but the new additions (wager matches, COD$, purchasable unlockables) really make it fresh. You will still have to level up to get new guns and whatnot, but you can purchase perks and other things the moment you get enough COD$.
For me, the ONLY gripe (other than people constantly bitching over their mics) is the knife... not sure what it is, but I do NOT feel like I have the same kind of stabbing capability as in MW2. I often miss or don't "connect" like I should, and it is really the only thing that bugs me.
Best game in 2010
Much better than I was expecting. A great standalone title.
Fun online good single-player
Good game, good online mode, I recommend the purchase.
very cool ,
If you like World at War, it might like this game.
Great campaign mode and multiplayer mode. Good job!!!
I'd like so much!
The time you spend playing it sure gives you good time.
I liked this game, but i think this zombie think is too much. If I want to kill zombies, I will play Resident Evil or something like that.
This game is sooo addictive! I've been hard at work climbing the leaderboard that I forgot to feed my hamsters their turkey dinner...they're a bit thinner now but otherwise no worse for wear. The campaign mode is really gritty and action packed but I mostly prefer the multiplayer.
BO online play is fairly good. Lots to see and do and the action is fast and furious. The campaigns are not that great and many feel rather rushed. The addition of using cash to unlock abilities and gun accessories is a nice addition to the game and allows you to personalize your method of carnage.
Any fan of the previous installments should enjoy this latest edition to the franchise.
Several ways to play, great graphics. Very finest war game today and so ťmaravilhoso zombies!
The modern warfare 2 is better but considering the quality of odd numbers like 3-5-7, this is better then world at war.
Story line is short and although there are lots of bugs to be fixed, it is a software right? Give it a time:)
This is a great game with a great story. The graphics are excellent. Almost as good as Modern Warfare but slightly lacking.
good single player, a bit short. Visuals are good. The multiplayer experience is class. You should own this.
Still the same great game-play that came to us in WAW. Maybe if you bought the regular edition it wouldn't be that great because you didn't get the 4 extra maps. The new levels are pretty fun, making the only things that make you die are being completely overrun. Many traps have also been added to increase the ease of zombie death.
The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating and instead gets a 3?
NO FLAMETHROWER IN ZOMBIES! The one gun that in effective hands allowed you to never worry about ammo and only worry about being good.... gone.
The new guns are fairly nice though.
Fro whatever reason I've been holding off getting any COD game but this was too much to resist.
Thanks for the speedy delivery - even this close to Christmas.
I think that WaW is better.
It is a good game, but i think that Modern Warfare2 is far better....
If you liked Modern Warfare 2 don't wory this the same action with better graphics.
Amazing Campaign Mode.
The graphic is good, gameplay is awesome ...... the best FPS yet !!! Very recommended franchise game
If you like FPS games, shooting games, you need to buy it! Multiplayer is amazing, and campaign mode is very interactive and with a great story.
Visually incredible diversity and great action, "Black Ops"is the best shooting game of the year, no doubt. The Treyarch showed that it is able to go beyond the second World War and explore modern areas, arresting the attention of the player on a great adventure of war and conspiracy. Moreover, with "Black Ops"the studio has proven that when it comes to shooting games, for now, only a new "Call of Duty" is able to overcome "Call of Duty. "
This is COD. What can i say?
ps3 version of black ops is a definite must buy for all COD fans
multiplayer is an even more refined experience of MW2 and COD4 - players of those games will definitely feel at home.
buy this for the multiplayer - it is the best in the business
another year, another blockbuster installment of call of duty.
treyach has upped their game by improving almost every aspect of modern warfare 2's perk system and killstreaks.
single player campaign is a bit short but multiplayer is definitely where the action's at. High replay value makes this a definite buy.
black ops is also 3D ready - which means that if you have a 3d capable monitor and nvidia's 3D kit, you can play this in 3D - awesome!
COD: Black Ops is like the subject from this review: Simply, the best from all time. The graphics, the historys, it's all perfect, i can't stop play !
They just tuned what was good in the series of the Modern Warfare into something great in Black Ops. Simply the best FPS on the market right now must have 10 out 10
Awesome multiplayer but certain elements are not realistic.
But no regrest...lets get to prestige level.
A must have for all COD fans!!!
Black Ops (or BLOPS) is great fun if you like the outlandish plot of the singleplayer campaign but multiplayer is even more addictive with a myriad of challenges, customisations, and weapons to choose from.
You can enjoy pure shooting work
Good game, good purchase, good amusement
Great game, with some fantastic multi-player. The campaign however feels really shallow and is too short. As a player who values single player elements over multi-player, I was a little disappointed.
A great cod, bringing old style and new ideas together for another round of entertainment
a must have for all COD fans.
this game works perfectly on pal console
Great game and better image quality!
I can not give 5 stars because I miss the possibility of do not follow the pre stablished way
BEST CALL OF DUTY GAME OUT!
THIS IS A MUST BUY/GET!!
ONLINE IS AWESOME!!!
Great game, the multiplayer was intense but the campaign was medicore but still an overall great game. Cant wait till next one comes out
Good single player and multiplayer! Enjoying it very much!
The Black Ops single-player mode was rather short but still enjoyable but what made Black Ops stand out was its multi-player mode which was absolutely awesome!
To me , BO is better than modern warfare. What treyarch is doing here is making, in some aspects, a sequel to cod:world at war. Better graphics, and amazing story.
Good game heaps better then MW2 online, entertaining single player campaign.
Best Multiplayer (so far)
This COD is very different from MW2. Multiplayer is sometime lacking of precision, R/C car is sometime very annoying, but magic is still there and you will always launch another game session on xbox live with your friends...
Splitscreen is a very nice feature for people who have 2 gold accounts in the house (or a friend without gold but you won't keep your upgrades), but fps will be sometime too low to play it always like this. Too bad, Ghost Recon is the last good game with a great online split screan mode...
over all the game is awesome specially the story is awesome plus the zombie game is Fun a really must have game
I loved the game. The best FPS on PS3
I gave this one three stars mainly because I expected much more from Treyarch. The game is significantly better then it's predecessors but unfortunately still maintains too many similarities. But that's not to say that this game isn't good. For anyone who hasn't played COD before or for someone who is a casual gamer this is the the perfect FPS for them. Single player is sadly short but very interesting and at times hits the right level of intensity. A few twists and surprises here and there make it all the more interesting. Multi-player is also good but unfortunately it's slightly let down by occasional lag.
I like this. In the multi play, the player that uses only the explosive and the knife is few. It is a reason that I think that BO is better than MW2.
It is very interesting. It can play for a long time.
Yes there are problems with this game. Yes there are people who abuse glitches in this game. But at the end of the day, I can't get enough of it all and will play it to death. And with the Aussie dollar the way it is, it's pretty hard not to buy.
This latest installment of the franchise is a welcome addition. It fixed a lot of balance issues seen in the previous games that made playing online very difficult for new players. However, this game worked to eliminate previous exploits to add an element for both new players and veterans of the series to all start from Square One.
I noticed that I care very little about the campaign. I did not buy this product for the single-player action, but rather for the great online combat. The customization of your multiplayer perks, equipment, weapons, and even cosmetic tweaks (camo, facepaint, emblem) are all top-notch.
Best online game out there right now.
Good single player mode, plus quite a few multiplayer modes for online play after finishing the campaign. Really fun playing games like zombie mode with friends. Great replay value.
Even though my shipment haven't arrived, I can already predict that Call of Duty Black Ops is a true masterpiece of a game!
Not sure what else to comment on this game, i think all the ads and hype are true.
Best franchise FPS and tactical online game.
Handing over an award winning series to a new developer isn't a new concept but in general, it has not worked out in the past.
This game however is brilliant. Using the Call Of Duty series, Treyarch has created an action packed thriller with a fantastic story to match. The multiplayer also provides hours of fun.
The only minor drawback is the length of the campaign. It is quite short for what could have been done with the story but if you're an avid Call of Duty fan, you will probably skip to the multiplayer anyway.
You won't want to put this down! (at least for a good month)
This game can play
Great game! I love it!!!
This review will be written based on the Asia PS3 version of Call of Duty Black Ops. I saw many questions if asia PS3 games work on consoles from other countries. Yes it works. You just cant buy the DLC from your local store. You have to create an ID for that country. For example, for Asia versions, you need to create a chinese account, for US version you have to create a US account and for Japanese version, you have to create a japanese account.
Lets get bac to the review for Black Ops.
Both single player and Multi players is great.
Single player, the story is kind of confusing, but near the end you everything comes into on piece.
For multiplayer, everything is great, except the fact that there are some network issues now.
In black ops you can have a local player play with you online. If you play together, the 2nd local player will showup with a (2) in their name.
I gave it a 4 because the network issue on multiplayer.
If everything gets fixed, i will give it a 5.
It is a must buy game of the year!
The game is good but not great. The AI isnít anything special and because you have to kill so many of them so often theyíre pretty stupid. Youíll also die for unknown reasons here and there, itís actually a little odd how often youíll unexpectedly just die and have to restart from the last save point. The best way I can put it is youíll definitely need to take a break after three or four missions and go do something else.
nice game.nice FPS.
the best COD game to date, the single player is a brilliant story, multiplayer fantastic as well... buy it!
Call of Duty: Black Ops really has reached it's goal of being the best Call of Duty up to date! Awesome multiplayer, single player's good too!
Can't go wrong with this one :)
Call of Duty: Black Ops is a great game that has a ton of content to enjoy. The multiplayer modes are largely based on what was established by Modern Warfare, but the twists that Treyarch throws in work well. Single-player is as exhaustingly fast-paced as ever with large set pieces that try to take the attention off of the lackluster AI of both friends and enemies. That withstanding, the story is the best I've ever seen from a Call of Duty game.
Black ops uses the same formula as its predecessors which can be good and bad. The game itself is great but doesn't do much to help the series move forward and is just the same base game as mw2 but with a different storyline. Despite all of this, as a shooter, black ops is one of the best currently available and is definitely worth playing.
COD Black Ops uses the same superb game play as the remainder of the series, and combines new flavours like the cod points to add a new element to the game. Fantastic game!
Very similar to MW2 ( a good thing !)
Multiplayer stepped it up this year with wager mode which gives players the opportunity to put their money (or points) where their mouth is!
Campaign mode was great also, but short...a few more missions and and it would have gotten 5 stars from me.
But a solid 4.5 stars!
Very good entertaining game with the same high quality graphics and sound as previous efforts. Probably too much story line which prevents you from getting on with the game. Still highly entertaining though
Black Ops is awesome! I really have a great time playing this game with my friends via the steam platform. Just like MW2, Black Ops is a addictive game, especially the zombie mode!
Black Ops is finally released among great expectation from the first person shooting game fans. This installment is undoubtedly one of the best military shooter games out there, taking the CoD series of games to a new level of FPS gaming.
Multiplayer is awesome. Game balance is good for beginner.
Singleplayer is also good. but a bit boring now. It's too short.
Treyarch has done a better job this time. However, the fundamental mechanics of this game can be regarded as an exact copy of Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer mode has some new features (COD Cash etc). Despite the similarities with Modern Warfare 2, I'd give 10 points to Treyarch for the rather interesting storyline. It would be interesting to see other game developers start producing games alike the MW2 and Black Ops. It would be rather boring to see only EA and Activision constantly dominating the FPS scenes.
Treyarch do a great job! Awesome campaign mode and multiplayer with plenty of things to do.
Great game that lives up the hype. Introduction of the COD pints adds a new element to the game. This is pretty much the only game I will be playing in Dec and Jan.
I loved it!
The new work of long-awaited CALL OF DUTY was put on the market. It is a thing said that having felt it because it actually plays is very well-balanced. An individual capability is tested though it is felt that a part of map is too wide because there is not Grenade-online like MW2 either.
the only thing with this game lacks are the sound effects of the multiplayer ingame...
Great game, excellent graphics. Best COD release so far. Love the credits system in online multiplayer. RCXD superb!
Get this game if you like any of the COD series!
I was skeptical with Treyarch taking the reins of this Call of Duty but I decided to purchase non the less and I'm glad i did, Multi-player is so fun and addictive always trying to get the extra cash to upgrade your favorite weapon. I enjoyed the new customization features they have added just adds an extra goal to get the best setup you can and show it off to the world.
Very happy with the job Treyarch have done with continuing the franchise.
Better get back to playing ;)
I'm only playing online match for about 24 hours and never played campaign.
I was so excited to play new COD, and I can easily find some good points.
A lot more shooting, no one use grenade luncher, less camper, etc,.
I'm satisfied pretty much with COD:BO's game design.
BUT, the horrible network system kills all the good things.
Game lobby often closes for just two games because of network error, I'm often isolated from friends because of network error, and finally, sometimes loading takes forever, and what I can do is just shout down PS3!!!!
And I can find many bugs in one hour, why TA can't find?
Does't TA like PS3? I wish I bought Xbox 360 version.
At least, for COD:BO PS3 version, I was so disappointed.
I did not try campaign yet, but multiplayer games disappointed me a lot: subpar graphics, laughable weapon models, overall cartoonish feel in comparison to MW2. Not to mention horrible in-game translation and voicing of Russian forces. Every type they say "Tango down!" with terrible accent, I, the native Russian speaker, cringe.
I promised my friend I would get this game on the PS3, even though I wanted it on the 360. However, I was surprised with this game and enjoyed immensely. The story is really well done. I hated CoD3, but am glad I own it. As much as I like the graphics, they are horrible for multiplayer, which is a turn off for me. Still really fun!
If your a fan of FPS then this game is for you however if you are looking for a game for the single player only then think about it as i played through first time on hard mode(2 most difficult setting trying to get the most out of the single player experience and if your experienced at FPS like me then your only looking at about 6-8 hours of game play. But if your like me and a fan of the call of duty series and have a passion for the multi-player side of these games i have no problems fully recommending this game as the multi-player is immersive and has many individual customization you can make as well as 15 prestige levels to take your character through. So many days if not weeks available to you in the multi player side of this game.. I suggest try before you buy to see if its up your ally but I'm very pleased with this title and what it offers but in my opinion not as good as MW2 but check it out for yourself
This is arguably the most poorly developed CoD game in the franchise. Lackluster graphics and severe connectivity issues play throughout the game. This will be the last piece of Treyarch nonsense I'll ever buy.
This game is really fun!
Wellity Wellity Wellity, another year, another Call of Duty game. What else is new? Itís become expected that Activision will release one every year, and by the looks of things the franchise has a few good years left in it before they need a total reboot or kill the franchise off for good.
If you donít like reading here are some numbers.
There are three parts to Black Ops; Single Player, Multiplayer and Co-Op Zombies - meaning 3 different gameplay styles, plus two hidden games (Zork and DOA), definitely some value for money and replay-ability.
Multiplayer has the most amount of changes and features with lots of new in-depth ďme, me, meĒ features managed by an in-game currency system. With new gambling modes, creatable emblems, AI bot players, theatre mode and much more.
Zombies is alot harder than they were in WAW, focusing more on player teamwork, perks and weapon upgrades than before.
The overall story has been said by many fans and reviewers to be the ďstrongestĒ or ďbetterĒ than previous games... YOU MUST BE JOKING!
There were so much eye rolling moments as they forcibly try and make you engage with the story, but being plunged face first into something confusing does nothing to help.
The story had the most convoluted nonsensical pro war diatribe since ďThe Green BeretsĒ (1968). The story is retold from an interrogation chair with a narrator Ė Fight Club anyone? And thereís a supposed twist in the story near the end - again Fight Club, anyone?
It must be said there is nothing based in reality in this game no matter what Treyarch producers say, from the portrayals of the Bay of Pigs to the Vietnam War to the supposed implied Cold War tensions and Cuban missile crisis. It takes so many liberties with ďhistoryĒ that itís a poor alternative history, think Tarantinoís ďInglorious BasterdsĒ (a film that misleads by its title, it should be about the Basterds not French dilettantes).
Scripted sequences flow smoothly although there are many clichťd moments where you know the game will take control of the character or with sequences youíre expected to push buttons to continue, such as an interactive torture scene. (FYI if you donít do anything it does it for you.)
There are a few unimaginative rail shooters moments where itís impossible to fail.
The graphics are good. The character models are alot better than the cloned uncanny valley models found in other shooters i.e. Medal of Honor (2010) where everyone looked as if they were all inbred relatives, with slight differences.
The games has lots of new better visual effects, such as blurs, lights, glare etc. Fire looks good, alot better than in WAW, and it should.
Sound quality is rather average and poor in comparisons to MW2. No aural space in the mix, everything sounds mono and stereo. If you had played Battlefield Bad Company 2 you know how great the audio is in that game. So far no other game has caught up.
If you hate the Rolling Stones beware, they play
Gary Oldman and Ed Harris give believable performances despite what is written, Harris essentially giving his rehash from the Rock. Oldman even uses his real British accent in one chapter of the game.
But overall the voice acting becomes sketchy at certain parts, examples such as Ice Cube sounding completely out of place; like a gangster rapper in the 60s. Additional accents sound way too American to be foreign; Fidel Castro sounds like an American for some reason, just be prepared to count the NVC accents that just sound like Americans. But the most nagging of voiceovers is the player itself (for the first time in a COD game talks), Alex Mason played by Sam Worthington. Who if any of you have seen his movies know he canít keep an American accent up to save his life! Of all the people they could use, they went with him. I donít know how bankable Worthington is but the guy canít act.
One thing that must be said, that wouldnít normally be said especially with the rise of console gaming is the number of problems that plague the PC version. Just look at the bitching on the steam forums want quick fixes. No one has any answers or is entirely sure where the problem stems from. Stuttering performance issues, longer than usual loading times, poor frame rates, connection issues, CPU compatibility issues etc. There were little experience problems on my end. A few random crashes during multiplayer and some connection issues from time to time. No big deal, nothings perfect.
For the most part the person who buys Call of Duty games is fans of the franchise or interests in FPS.
Black Ops has many things that are familiar and many news things that make it different from the last 6. But fans will find that are more things in common with Modern Warfare 2 than any other especially in the multiplayer, which over the years has borrowed more and more from each yearís predecessor. Although there will be a few (hundred thousand) that will be disappointed by Black Ops, but for the most part most fans will be playing this till the next game comes out next year.
If youíre new to the franchise itís a good value for money game, just be prepared for unforgiving players on the multiplayer.
Black Ops is more than a fun to play though it is not a master peace like modern warfare 2.
Short campaign, nice game play but the story isn't the best.
Multilayer Game play is cool and addictive.
New weapons and game modes.
Overall the game is fun and well recommended though I truly like Modern Warfare 2 more.
Epic story line, gripping and good fun. Can be a bit fast paced and often require that you rush through parts to survice but top notch.
Initially not as fun as MW2 but it grows on you over time to the point some elements are superior to MW2.
Some major glitches and bugs which in campaign or multiplayer are annoying but you can live with it.
As a Cod fan ill have to say that campaign story line was a let down,. it was not as interesting as MW or MW2. Story line was boring sorry to say this Treyarch. But Black ops has a good side too. for all of us campaign mode is not as important. its all about the multiplayer and acutally i really like the changes made to multiplayer this time around... multiplayer is very very good. For me the best multiplayer every in a COD game... for all u fans who love multiplayer this is a MUST HAVE
This is the good one of call of duty series.
I put 4 stars, because it's very good in Multiplayer mode.
You can play against Bot foe practice. With a lots of weapon and equipments you will love it.
In Single player mode is good but story is about the past. So you won't understand some history, But it's ok to kill the enemy with modern weapon that in that time doesn't have :).
However i think it's the on of FPS game!! You should buy it!!
Great game, felt single player was not as good as in the past (just my pref for storyline). MP is a treat with the change up. If you are just playing for fun, and live in Asia where you can't rent games then only buy it with a price drop, otherwise grab it now!
I got BO from play-asia as my sixth CoD release til now.
I taken a pre-order on site a few day before street date and got the box in 2 week. So fast and so nice!
Now, Multi-game once again sticking me in my PC 1-2 hr every night!
the best game i have ever played. the way all FPS games should be. movie worthy story line coupled with breathtaking graphics results in a full on experience. everything is just better and i am astounded that they could fit so many things into one game!
I don't think no graphical quality improvement between MW2, W@W, and BO. but exciting, goood game.
I've concerned about region protect.
There is no problem about it. never mind!
Treyarch have followed up their previous entry into the Call of Duty franchise with Black Ops. This blockbuster campaign is set during the 1960's, placing you in the shoes of a special forces unit acting on orders from the president, reshaping global events in countries such as Cuba, Russia, China and Vietnam. The series' famous Multiplayer returns better than ever, with new game modes, weapons, customizations, and dedicated servers on PC.
Treyarch has taken Call of Duty to the next level in Black Ops.
Easily the best game in the series, Treyarch delivers unsurpassed value in this package. The campaign delivers an action packed, challenging, story-driven thrill ride is the franchise's most compelling thus far, giving the fps gameplay a diverse setting that spans Vietnam, Hong Kong, Russia, Laos, Cuba, etc. as Mason's story unfolds through interrogation flashbacks.
Beyond the best campaign in the Call of Duty series, Zombie mode is back for solo or up-to-4-player co-op survival gaming and the experience has been refined and is bolstered by the comedic cameos of some of modern history's more significant figures.
Also packed in as easter eggs are Dead Ops Arcade, a top-down arcade zombie shooter that allows single or co-op play, and a text adventure game that is a throwback to MS DOS gaming days.
However, the crown jewel of Black Ops is the Online Multiplayer experience. Fantastic, diverse, and numerous maps allow for some great battles to unfold with tweaked gameplay mechanics and wonderfully balanced killstreak rewards. New to the MP component is the credit system, which allows players virtually limitless customization and upgrading options as you progress through the levels.
This is getting long so just rest assured that this is the single most enjoyable Call of Duty experience in the franchise thus far. A must own for all gamers.
After many games, I finally found this COD Black Ops and I'm surprised how this game was made to be so good. I did only search for this game infos on Google, but I didn't expect it to be this good. THANKS!
asia no region protection works great good game only problems were server for multuplayer Laggggggggggy.other then that great website will be back again.Saved $40 to $60 bucks on this game.
This game is not good stage effects.
Sometimes a painful red light.
But otherwise good game.
Good Game. You must buy here Play-Asia.com!!
CoD Black Ops is more of the same Call of Duty that we all know and love. The singleplayer campaign has an interesting storyline, but playing thru it can be a bit tiresome, especially on the higher difficulties.. That being said, the multiplayer is definitely where the action and replayability lies. The new mutliplayer system where players have to buy weapons definitely adds more interest and makes you plan out your purchases.
All-in-all a worthwhile game, but if you arent big on CoD maybe you should rent this first.
I play this and feel so good,Multi-game balanced is better than MW2.
But more dramatic change I wanted.Black Ops is too close MW2 and WaW.
Treyarch have never been afraid of making changes to the CoD franchise, and that certainly applies to Black Ops. Pretty much all the changes here (particularly to the perk system) are welcome ones, bringing what so far looks like the most balanced multiplayer CoD experience yet. This game is also jam-packed with extras (combat training, theatre mode, wager matches, zombies, easter eggs etc.) that certainly give you value for money.
The campaign is brief and ridiculous, of course, but has some truly memorable levels mixed in. It's the multiplayer that's the big draw here though, and that may just make it the best CoD yet...
I shouldn't have gotten forcibly dragged on to the hype train with this one. It was only after playing through a couple of hours of the campaign that I remembered how little I enjoyed the action in Modern Warfare 2.
That's not to say it's a bad game by any means. The graphics are excellent with some really impressive lighting and particle effects. It's non-stop action the whole way through (if that is your thing of course) and the shooting is as always tight as tight can be.
That being said, this game just isn't for me. There is too much happening at any given moment on the screen for me to feel that it's anything but an overly hectic shooting gallery. Even on the easier difficulty levels you will get killed (or at least "red screened") by enemies you just can't track down on quite a few occasions.
I'm not a fan of the "24"esque pacing either. I am a child of the 80s and appreciate a well placed "slow point" just as much as a bunch of crazy set pieces. I don't need my action this frenetic.
You might be asking yourself why I didn't give the game more stars when you consider that it comes with arguably the most comprehensive and time sucking multiplayer of pretty much any console FPS. I'll be honest, I don't much get into multiplayer anything, especially online so that part of the package is wasted on me. I'm sure that if I had the desire to play it and did that I would think more highly of this game.
Anyway if you, like me, are only interested in the single player experience then I would think hard whether this is the game for you or not.
Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The article which is very splendid.
I bring on a unique view of the world while throwing in then satire.
I may be satisfied with an FPS inexperienced person, experience all of you very much.
Just keeps getting better!
a ton of new options and non stop action!
Beautiful game, I liked very, good purchase
This is the best storyline in the Call Of Duty series.
love the zombie mode.^^
This game works on American PS3?
Black Ops is a quality game - there's no argument there. I know this because I researched it meticulously in magazine and online reviews. However, and this is a BIG however, you need to be aware of two major things.
The first is a technical point. In reference to my console (Xbox 360) when Play Asia say it's PAL compatible, they're kinda half-right. This did not work straight off the bat. The first load failed to boot properly at all and left me with a black screen. I then had to restart my 360 four times (!) before I got rid of some major graphical glitches (pixellation and no textures). Only then did it finally pull itself together to be playable.
The second issue is not technical but is a a design decision by Treyarch and buyers need to be VERY aware of this, because I feel majorly ripped off by it.
If you want to play bots in Combat training you MUST have xbox live with a Gold membership. At no point has this ever been mentioned in any review I read, watched or listened to, and I saw quite a few from a wide variety of sources. I have no internet connection and obviously no gold membership so I bought this in the hope that I could enjoy mutiplayer with bots. Then I realised the horrible truth. I ask the developers, if thewy're reading this, what is the point of putting in bots if offline players cant access them. Of course, I know the answer to this before I ask the question and can hear the ring of Xbox live cash registers in my ears. All I'm saying is, if you tout a feature, be upfront about who exactly has access to it or not, because I bought this product on the promise of playing against some AI and I feel deceived that this has not been mentioned anywhere. Google it and you'll find that there are a lot of other very angry gamers out there.
good game . fast shiping . thumbs up to play-asia
If you like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you will love this one. Just keeps getting better.
I skipped Modern Warfare 2 and decided to give Black Ops a go. All I can say is, WOW! I'm impressed right from the start! The Single Player campaign, the Multiplayer and Zombie Mode is absolutely class!
Even though it's not developed by the same developer, this is definitely a huge improvement over the 1st Modern Warfare!
Black Ops brings a return to the glory days of COD in my opinion. Tight graphics and good storyline keep the campaign playable and the new features on multi-player, like customization of EVERYTHING and the currency system, make this a superior title to MW2. Sure, MW2 was a bit prettier, but Black Ops feels more responsive, and the multi-player runs far better.
I ordered blackops since it looked promising and treyarch seemed to be doing something special with it. As usual play-asia shipped the item on time :). 10/10 for PA.
The campaign was not a huge action fest compared to MW but still its pretty solid and has its own signature. Some missions are pretty epic with good sounds. The campaign graphics are a major improvement compared to previous COD titles.
MP is the hard part. The game mechanics, the concepts, the content are all worth the money when it works. I like the way you have to buy your upgrades, I like the new contracts scheme. Also the kill streaks are pretty good as well.
The biggest problem however is the monumental lag with the game. The game is sometimes completely unplayable. Several unofficial fixes did not work for me. The latest NVIDIA drivers seem to improve the situation a bit, but still its a far cry from the MW2s smoothness. Also the graphics quality is pretty poor compared to MW when I set the gfx to lower settings when playing multiplayer.
Its hard to judge this game properly. When it all works without lag I'd give this 9/10. But right now, its more like 6/10.
The first thing that struck me playing this was the sound, your weapons sound like cap guns just popping off instead of exploding in your hands. In MW it felt like there were bullets flying everywhere because of the sheer noise, here it sounds like you can just stick your head out have a look around, maybe fire some shots off and then get back in cover when you feel like it.
Pacing is a problem in this game, I'll be following a team mate (you'll be doing a lot of that in this game) and we'll get to a checkpoint when the game gives me a cutscene then we'll go somewhere else for another cutscene. The game stops and starts so often that you can't get into it. You'll think "this is a good bit" and then you'll lose control of you character to watch another event.
Modern Warfare was better. Better story, better levels, better multiplayer maps.
SP not better than MW2 but still very good and much better then MOH. MP is very good and have more customization. A very good buy for COD series.
If Call of Duty: MW series are good movie, then Black Ops is just a normal TV show about War.
The Single Player mode uses so many CG to tell the story, but the game also be cut into so many pieces by that CG. I had counted, the shortest part of the playable game between two CG is less than 3 min. How can they do that? Also the AI of your partners are very strange -- sometime they are very smart, but sometime they are very stupid. The design of the game and the map is poor, they set something to limit your movement, for example, you will die if you don't move; you will be game over if you don't follow the CPUs.
Actually the Online Mode is better. The mode is different to MW2 and it is funny. However there are too little map and all of the map is not big enough. It is not MW2 there will be 18 people in the game at most! Some of the map is not enough for 18 people! I think Treyarch will add more maps, but it would also ask for our money to buy them.
I don't think it is as good as MW2.
Forget the hype about this game or the suggestion that it bears any resemblance or comparison to other games in the CoD series. Black Ops is a good three steps backwards in all respects.
The graphics are generally poorly rendered and glitchy and the animations similarly crude. The campaign game-play is dull, repetitive and extremely linear while the story is embarrassingly inane and the voice acting stilted and clumsy. It is also very short but then, one has long since become resigned to developers favouring the on-line circus over the single player.
As for the multi-player experience, this is marred by similarly restrictive maps, poor graphics (by comparison to MW1&2) and somewhat tinny sounding weaponry. Actually, I could only bear it for about 15 minutes before I quit and went back to MW2.
This was a massive disappointment and I could not in all honesty recommend it. Save your money for something worth the asking price!
I, a vivid fan of MW2 can say that BO have eclipsed its predecessor. Sure it was confusing at first because the way you have to manage creating classes and your kill streaks can cause a spreadsheet nightmare but it's a mere flee of a complain living in this lion with a jetpack awesome game.
I haven't played the single player yet since I immediately dove in the world of the multiplayer but I don't think it matters. CoD have always been known for its awesome multiplayer interface and not for its single player anyway. I kinda dislike the absence of the tactical nuke kill streak but I'm not sure if I just haven;t unlocked it yet. They have a place called Nuke Town surely there must be at least one nuclear radiating weapon there.
Another good change is now you can buy the perks you want instead of grind your way there. Although getting the 'pro' level of those perks are a hastle it's still worth praising.
Over all black ops is a top tier game. If you were a fan of the previous CoD games then you should like this because it's really just more of it.
better than modern warfare 2!
Modern Warfare and WAW combined!
Multiplayer is a blast!
love this game, first cod ive actually bought and havent regretted it at all; great gameplay, the multiplayer is unbelievably addictive; great service from play asia and it was sent on a friday and i received it on the following monday...only downside is that the post office isnt open on weekends grrr :@; good job treyarch
The Prestige edition sold by PA is PAL which means if you use a HK account some future DLC might be locked.
Another issue is the RC car takes 12 batteries and they do not last long.
modern warfare 3 neeeeds to do some serioust stuff to make it better than this
Game feels like a sequel to COD WOW.
Game is still awesome and multiplayer is still No.01!
Epic game. Very very good in all aspects. Multiplayer is intense. It's a must buy for sure.
the greatest game in the word. TREYARCH owned infinity ward with this. i love black ops, more features than any game i have ever played
