Another good COD
I really don't think a game could be much better. The graphics are amazing, the single player is awesome, and the multiplayer is fun for ever. It cold take years to get to the highest rank in multiplayer and weeks to finish the campaign on veteran. So it is lots of fun.

CoD series has always been a corridor shooting gallery w/ baddies not so much as arriving on the scene as termites pouring out of the woodwork. Increasingly intense and over the top set pieces from game to game distracted from this dull reality. Well, in MW3 the intensity and set piece action has been turned up to 11. It's like the 45 min climax of Transformers 3, but for, like, ever. The realization that you've been where done this how many times sinks in, and the spectacle is rendered ineffective. Leaving you to see you see CoD for what it has become: a termite shooting gallery dressed up in a combat shooter. Unless you've *never* played a CoD game, avoid this.

More of the Same
If you're looking for a basic shooter with no imagination or improvements to pervious installments, then this is the game for you. Where warfare is all about you, not your teammates or the end goal. Just like RL were your kill to death ratio is more important than anything else. Easy to play, easy to master.

maybe mw3is not as pretty on some level,but its ww3 environment is really breath taking, and can really take the player into the middle of that bloody combat. on ps3, the game looks even better than bf3.the best fps in 2011.

Almost as good as COD MW2
I must admit I was a bit disappointed by this game, it has all of the right elements for a 5 star game but it just doesn't have the fun factor or adrenaline pumping action from their previous endeavor. This is still a great game and worth the money but not as good as Modern Warfare 2. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and get it right next time, I am certain they made enough money for a sequel cheers.

Best of the Modern Warfare Series
campaign is awesome but short ,the new survival mode is very nice, with the return of Spec ops from MW2, and most importantly the online multiplayer is filled with a variety of weapons, perks ,point streaks (AKA Killstreaks) and a new game mode called Kill confirmed

The multiplayer is where it's at, and MW3 delivers what's expected of the franchise. The balance feels satisfying, plenty of game modes, weapons and maps to explore.
Graphically, this game is still running on the same engine, and is starting to show it's age, but it nonetheless can deliver the explosive thrills it seeks to deliver.
Most people either love or hate CoD, MW3 isn't going to change anybody's minds, it knows its formula well, and sticks to it.

OVERRATED game stuck in the past
MW3 is a victim of amazing marketing and peer pressure. Everyone is buying, the TV tells you to buy it, the news reports that everyone is buying it. buy for me why, after I bought I kept asking my self WHY? WHY? WHY? well I will tell you why. becuase I used to be a huge COD fan. I have bought an enjoyed EVERY COD from 2 all the way until MW2. then then the series stalled. First off this games SOUNDS TERRIBLE. if you play on TV speakers then it will not be a problem, but if you have HD sound like you should, (you have an HD TV right? then why use low def sound... your only getting half a game otherwise). The guns sound terrilbe. I can make better fuller sounds with my MOUTH!!! The explosions lack any bass. Visuals are okay. The gameplay feels floaty. WAY too floaty. it does not feel like you are controling a person, like all other modern FPS games, it feels like you are controling a camera with a gun attached that floats around. It has no wieght to it. I am not going to compare this game to anything other game. Beucase on it own MW3 dispointes. The action is intense, but too intense. it lacks cohesion. The improved the co-op missions but instead of taking your time and beating them with skill you HAVE to RACE through them to get the best time memorize where all the enemies magically spawn and shoot them. There is no strategy to this game at all. All the MP maps can fit into 1 large Battlefield map (or halo, or killzone, or mag, or quake 3 arena, etc, etc, etc,). Worst of all IMO is the online community. The average age of online MW3 gamers is very young. You will meet many annoying, selfish and potty mouthed kids online. MW3 is a victim of its own popularity. It became so popular that every kid wanted to play it, and those kids are mean and want to act mature and mature to them means using every bad word they say in a string. It became so popular that they did not want to change the game, which is a bad thing because SO many other titles like halo, killzone, crysis, battlefield have all evolved with each title, and have all evovled way past MW3. I was a COD fan so I am telling you how I see it. If you disagree with me, then I think you are simply a victim of the $100+ marketing machine, peer pressure '(cause your friends are playing), and you are trying to convince yourself that you are playing an awesome game and didn't waste your money when it just isnt try. Check out the Metacritic user scores if you don't believe me. the Media gave it good scores, but 75% of gamers who actually play the game hate it!

the single player campaign is moderate and the best part is that its a conclusion to a 3 part franchise that came to an end..now this is the good part ...
the multiplayer is AWEESO..Crap
the game lagz biggtime ,you get shot before you can see the shooter,bugz everywhere .o have the game since it came out and i am not playing it yet ,cuz its not worth playing ,im sick of playing a shooting dummy ,even with the update 1.05 the lagg is not patched yet
this is a rushed game to the market ,all i can say that i regret buying this game or buying a game from this franchise again

Stop hesitating
Just 2 weeks ago I've ordered this game, received it a couple of days later (play-asia my favorite dispatcher) the MW3 CD has not left my PS3 disc tray since the second I received it. It's amazing how Activision is managing to 1up themselves with every release eventhough it seems like nothing has really changed much.
Single Player - A lot of critics say that this is nothing new and this is too short and I agree, there's no doubt that the emphasis was put mainly on the multiplayer and special-ops. It is pretty short and feels like youve done it a million times before.
Multiplayer - It's pretty simple to me, If you enjoy online 3D shooters this one's the best. I haven't played Battlefield 3 yet, But to me it was just a choice of preferring the franchise.
Bottom Line: If youre an online 3D shooting fan like myself I say 'Don't hesitate and order the game now' if your'e a singleplayer player i say either rent it before you buy it, or wait till the next one comes out so the prices will decrease a little.

I think this game's value is subjective the gamers experience. I for one never play the treyarch games. So I missed out on the black ops expereince and therefore had a decent break from COD. So picking up MW3 and playing it, yes it seems to me just to be more MW2 even with the same death animations and what not, just new weopons, perks, and play options. Having enjoyed the MW series I am enjoying this game. But I think that is ONLY because I have been play COD not stop skipping World and War and Black Ops. Other players may be sick of it and not see much value in this, if not and just you love COD and can't get enough you probably have this game already. If you are on the fence it really depends on if you think you want more. On the other hand whether you think you want to play it or not once you start playing its so addictive you'll keep playing. That happened to me with MW2 I didn't want it and didn't feel like more COD but it was at a good price picked it up and I was hooked for a year. The same could happen here. I haven't even tried the single player campaign yet.

Great Fun, Great Story, Lousy Soundtrack
I take single player campaigns very seriously, so the soundtrack plays an important role. In comparison with MW2 (by Hans Zimmer), MW3 had a not-so-epic soundtrack...which really came close to ruining the experience. Other than that it's a great game for both single and multiplayer fun.

You can clear single player mode in one day, but what a hudge immerse campaign ! Uninterrupted action from the very beginning until the end ! Wow !
Multiplayer is great to, if you like fast FPS ! If you want more tactic and time to think in multiplayer, you may choose Battlefield 3 instead.

Good game. Gameplay great. Multiplayer same as MW2. No complaints other than shit music score. Doesn't create appropriate atmospheres in the levels.

Modern warfare comes to a close
Mw series on this generation defined the console fps genre and made it truly mainstream entertainment. This continues with the third in the installment, and for those who ha been following the story it also gives the sense of closure on the characters you followed throughout 5 years.
Great value packaged in a disc this generation and for the fps fans it is not to be missed.

The Modern Warfare experience refined
This is a very strong package. The Campaign is an improvement on MW2 with some great set pieces and interesting settings (London and Paris to name two). There's a nice sense of closure to the trilogy and some nice nods to the previous games.
SpecOps allows you to relive moments/locations from the campaign with a twist in Mission mode or get a feel for the Multiplayer maps in Survival mode. The latter is a lot of fun.
For most the meat is the Multiplayer and it doesn't disappoint. It's comfortably familiar to those who played MW2 but is a lot more balanced with many annoying/cheap perks/weapons nerfed or removed. There are new tactical additions and the choice of strike packages caters for all players. Maps are on the whole a little smaller and killstreak rewards no longer dominate thanks to the new SAM turrets. Gun vs gun gameplay is definitely emphasised and is thrilling at an unbroken 60FPS. Kill Confirmed is the standout new game mode.

This game is RUBBISH. It stinks. Nothing has changed from the last one. The new maps arent even very good.
If anyone wants this game, you can have it half price from me, but be warned the disc will be broken.

As to be expected, the single player campaign is mediocre at best. But most people (like me) bought this game strictly for multiplayer. The new tweaks are great, the game is fun, but the matchmaking is terrible, and the maps are all small. Not even any medium sized maps. I sure hope the first map pack contains nothing but large maps...Overall, very good multiplayer experience.

I liked what they did with this game, theres a lot of options that i really enjoy. This is my first cod game and i bought this because i wanted to play a new shooter with friends and i liked that split screen is added and theres a lot of options to play the style of killer you like. campaign is epic, spec ops is a lot of fun by yourself or with a friend, and multiplayer...well as a newb to cod multiplayer i wont lie, i had a lot of fun. :) I cant compare with other cod's cause i never played them, hoped you like this unbiased review haha.

I love the game and love what they did to the killstreaks (i.e. made them more fair) but still feel that its a rehash of mw2 and not as original as Black Ops was (and is)
If I were to choose I would choose COD Black Ops over this one, but still - for the money its still an awesome game and a lot of fun to play..
