I missed having one of these...
When I had the 3DS, I never gave the cradle much thought but as most other reviewers have already said, it's the most convenient way to keep your 3DS XL charged.
Also want to confirm that the Aus/NZ charger wil plug in and that it works with the 3DS XL (the branding of the 3DS LL in Western markets)
In some ways I'm surprised that it wasn't part of the 3DS XL package, because it has been a step backwards to the old DS days having to plug the charger directly into the console.

Does the job
Cradle makes charging very convenient. Just drop your DS on top and it charges. There is no problem with fitting and the build is fine, if not a little cheap.
Slightly troublesome if you have a Circle Pad Pro, as you need to take it out to put it on top of the cradle. Something to take note if you have a CPP or intend to get one together with this cradle.

Makes charging more convenient instead of hooking up the cable. Can still play your games while charging.

Convenient
Works the same way as the 3DS charging cradle, makes charging your XL much more convenient instead of hooking up the cable every time, as the XL does not come w/ one, unlike the original 3DS. Even though the stand is bigger, somehow the plastic material feels lighter and less solid, but nonetheless serves its purpose.
