description
The Dennou Senki mecha shooting action series was born in 1995 and has been popular with arcade gamers ever since then. In 2001, Sega ports Virtual-On! Force to the Xbox360 so that gamers get to practice their piloting and robot fighting action at home.

The game makes use of the Xbox360's powerful online capabilities so that gamers can get friends together to team up, or fight each other. The tag battle system gives you so much more options. You can be the leader and let your friends support you or use the rescue dash mode to get your friends to spoon you out of difficult situation. Being a good pilot is not the only thing here, being able to cooperate is the key.

To fill your stable, be sure to take on missions and unlock the mechas. There are 91 for you to collect and some of them are color variations of the same model.

Great Arcade Classic!
This game brings back some good memories. I've been playing it everyday for hours. This also works on PAL Xbox360 systems.

Works on US consoles.
As the game itself is slow pace viirtual on. 2 vs 2. HD graphic virtual on looks pretty.

excellent 4!
This game is the last of the virtual on series, coming from the arcades to our beloved xbox 360. It has good graphics cool music and an awesome gameplay. Plus! You can unlock all the virtuaroïds from the previous games!
About the game itself, it has various modes the best being the multiplayer online or offline. Any fan of virtual on should have it!

Magnificent
This game is amazing! Ever since I got this, I've been playing it every time I turn on my 360. The only problem that I have is that the majority of it is in Japanese, but that is minor to the controls, the gameplay, and unlocking VRs. It may be different from VOOT but it still holds that Virtual-On spirit!

Different from what youre used to
The pace is much slower because of team play, but it's always fun online.

Weird lock on system
Coming from the Gundam VS series, I don't like the lock on system in Virtual On at all. You have to jump up and down just to re-center your locked on target. It's just plain weird.

Cheap, nice port of arcade
Even if you don't understand Japanese it is easy to navigate and memorize the menus. Good multiplayer to play with friends online or at home.

Great game for the price
Virtual-On is a great classic arcade game and his Xbox 360 adaptation as well. I recommend this game for the strong online multiplayer he has to offer, the online battles are really fun and Sega has focused on it as we can see. The Arcade/Mission mode is okay (short and the replayability is low too) but you pay for the multiplayer when you buy this game.

Good Mecha fighting game but little English Translation
Although I got the game and do enjoy the aspects of the fighting and missions, the so called "English Subtitles" isn't as much as I'd thought there would be.

The menu does have English, but what really matters is the sub menus...I've tried to look for how to get most of the game into English writing but to no avail which is somewhat of a let down.

However, if I am going to recommend this game, get it for the fighting elements and missions...but if you are planning to go online with it you maybe disappointed as the menus are, again not in English and it is pure guesswork as to what you have to press A on...even when you do get to the lobbies...they are more or less empty (which is strange given this game is brand new).

The missions, although fun, are also guesswork as to what you do in them...I have managed to get the jist of a few but sometimes I get a random "Lose" for not knowing if I have to collect something or defeat an opponent in a specific way, add to the fact that there are almost zero online translations because it apparently is "understandable", which for the most part...isn't.

Overall, get the game for the main Arcade Mode and Mission mode for its gameplay...since they are the only two you will trully understand in the otherwise 80% Japanese text menus.

Fun for fans, limited for newcomers
This game is a blast for those of us who have been Virtual On fans for years. It's a bit slower paced than VOOT and has far fewer options for attack, but the 2v2 aspect of the game adds a whole new level of strategy to the series. There is quite a learning curve and everything is in Japanese, so it takes some time to figure out what does what, but this is a must-buy for mech fans. Virtual On at its best.

Unique arcade experience !
Great game and region free (though in Japanese)

Pure Awesomeness with TwinSticks, unique arcade experience !
The gameplay is slower than Virtual On Oratorio Tangram, making it a bit less hardcore than VOOT and more accessible, but the cooperation system gives the game a new dimension ! You are not alone anymore, you will have to act different ways depending on what your partner and your opponents are doing, very strategic !

Solid Stuff
No region protection, easy enough to play even if U don't understand japanese. Excellent mechanics if you like the older games in the series. Graphics are nothing to cheer about compared to the best Xo games.

Good Job Sega
An excellent game, so nearly 5 stars, just held back by a few game bugs.

awe struck
when i bought a 360 and sold my ps3 for this one game and a dl of voot msbs 6.6, i was skeptical. it looked pretty, but was it even clos to as good as the first and second in the series, because marz was not.
i got my copy a day after ordering, and the first thing youll notice that is a great pr move since this isnt being released in the states, is the lack of lockout protection. major bonus.

the game plays like voot meets tekken tag. all abttles vs the comp or live bait is 2 on 2, and your partner has really sophisticated ai so that you can focus. its the first time that any v-on game was designed with a gamepad in mind instead of twin sticks (the first 2 games were arcade ports on saturn and dreamcast respectively).
the feel is great, the dynamics are insane, and it is w/o a shadow of a doubt game of the year,

5 stars easily/ thank you sega
