best dragon quest!!
Like its predecessors, Dragon Quest VI boasts an expansive world full of brainteasers. You encounter more than 30 unique towns, each with its own distinct scenario that enriches the story while unlocking new areas and conundrums. Most of these scripted events are highly creative.
It’s a risky choice to remove the normal goal of defeating a central villain and replacing it with a very open world, but it mostly pays off. The story grows more organically, as you travel from place to place at your leisure, fixing smaller issues while at the same time seeing a larger goal materialize

A Much Darker en-shrouded opening than any Dragon Quest that I've seen so far! I must admit that I haven't gotten very far into it, it has the same set-up as the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th and 8th games as it begins with a specific main? character, whom is male. And then you begin your Quest! I think that I should also admit that I've been trying to play them in order, though I first beat the U.S. Edition of VII! And have since, beaten the 1st two games on my Wii! Well into the third game - Wii, working on the fourth game - DSi, practically beaten the fifth game -DSi, started this - DSi, advanced a lot through the seventh game - PS2, played some of eighth game - PS2, and All in their original Japanese Editions!!! xD My ninth game, also for the DS (yet I'll likely also play it on my DSi) review will have to wait a little :/ but these games are Great!! ;3

more dragon quest
western audience finally get the full exposure to the fad that is dragon quest. this is as traditional as you can get when it comes to jrpg. lot of grinding, interesting character and story, expensive universe, it's all here in remake goodness. if you have invested your time with the franchise, this is a must get.

Superb!
These long overdue English language ports of this most revered Japanese RPG series is proof that good things
come to those who wait, and there simply is none better than Dragon Quest IMO. Whilst it lacks the bombast of other RPG series, it makes up for it with some of the most sublimely crafted - and written - RPG's around. I loved finally getting the chance to play DQ's 4 & 5, and 6 is equally as good. Every fan of Japanese RPG's, RPG's or - heck - games in general should own this. Love it.

Good but not best
Pretty good but somehow I prefer Dragon Quest 9.
This episode is much more challenging though. Because 9 was very easy.

Finally in English!
Like the rest of the series, Dragon Quest VI is a fantastic RPG. It has a bit of a different feel from other DQ games, starting off more urgent and getting more slow and open in the middle. The job system is pretty fun, and the characters are interesting.
The mini-stories are what make the game, though, and this installment has some of the best in the series. Check it out!

Long awaited and finally here.
Dragon Quest VI was the last game to finally see an English translation and release outside of Japan. If you have any interest in the series, it's the end of the chronicles from DQ IV, V and this being VI. Dragon Quest has always been as traditional as an RPG can come and worth your time if you love challenge and story.
Worth recommending this game, but it would be best to probably collect DQ IV and V as well for the DS.

A must buy for both dq fans and ds owner
I played sfc version few years ago, and I was shocked by its storyline, certain elements ( like dream world ) are borrowed by FF X. I loved dq 4, 5 DS remakes, though they lack certain graphical details when compared to ps and ps2 version. The gameplay of DQ6 ds version is very similar to 4 and 5 remakes, DQ fans shouldn't be disappointed.

The final piece
Glad to have this final piece of Zenethian chronicle. Though you shouldn't compare it with Dragon Quest IX which is much better game. But don't worry, Dragon Quest story never fails you. This game uses the same system as the remake of Dragon Quest IV and V for battle system, but with some addition on certain occasion. The notable advancement in this game is its redesigned environment and cut scene. Buy this game to complete your trilogy of remade Dragon Quest series.

A long waited remake!
When Dragon Quest VI came out on the Superfamicom, it became an instant hit and has remained a classic RPG since. Different from DQ4 and DQ5, it re-introduced the Character Class system from DQ3, and features an adventure that requires you to travel between two worlds, which are twice as big as the world of DQ4 or DQ5, when combined.

First remake of the game
This is the first time that the game has been remade on any system. The game was really good graphically back at the SFC days already because it was one of the last games on the system. Transitioning to the DS seems to have done well. Some people may not regard this as the best game in the series, but fans of the series will continue to love it and this game is no different. The job system in this game is closed to perfection and if you are one who digs grinding for level up and all that, then this game is for you. A game not to be missed despite its less-than-popular story.

Great remake for the Super Famicom DQVI. The graphics have been reworked like those of DQIV and V on DS.

Getting back childhood memory
DQ6, the first RPG game ever I played while I was young. A remake version of the game doesn't change much to the story and game system but a great improvement on the graphic and some additional elements. I feel like I am going back to my childhood happiness while I was playing this game. So if you are a DQ fan, this is the one you should not miss. To me, it is the best one among the DQ series.

A great remake of a great game
If you loved DQIV and V on the DS, you will love this. It has the same great dual-screen graphic style and fun gameplay with fast battles. DQVI has a long quest, a great story, and a deep class system.
