Very old school
Pretty much like an older generation game,PS2. Single player is still bearable but multiplayer graphic is very ugly. Full price? Doesn't even worth it but bargain price? It's still okay after all.

This game is one of the most fun released this year.
I may say that graphics are not so good as Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3 or many other games but if you play it you won't mind about graphics and just enjoy it.

First, Fast delivery and in perfect condition with Play Asia, as habitual.
Then for the game. it's in French and I found it pretty fun, with lots of really fun scenes to play and a nice interactivity who give to the game, an interesting old school style.

And now, for the game I found it pretty fun, too much adult scenes for me in this game (I didn't expect that much) but anyway was pretty fun to play, great interactivity and sure was a really great old-school game and I found it a good replayability because of that :)

However, a rare moment in history has presented itself here. How many promising games have had the plug pulled before you were even given the decision to give it a chance? Thanks to Gearbox, this game has been given a second life and you the chance to take a step back into a long unknown piece of gaming history.
Think of this not as a recent FPS, but what it really is: the retro game you never got a chance to play.

The game is fun but with ton of mixed stuff, after you are right in the shooting it happens to be some other kind like driving, then you are back to shooting but inmediately after you are jumping when shrinking. I agree that load times are the worst part. Anyway I find it entertaining.

On one hand its technical side is awfully dated and feels rushed in more than one segment. On the other hand: That *what* is in there is A LOT OF FUN! It's not the mindless action-fest some people wanted it to be but it's a solid shooter with attitude. A rude attitude full of swearing and sexism. And yet it manages to entertain until the end! The levels are very diverse and offer quite a challenge to master, especially on the harder difficulty settings.
If you are an old school Duke fan chances are you already bought the game - everybody else should at least give it a try! But better not play the lame demo - it doesn't do the game justice.

I picked this game up when it was the weekly special. And for that price it is an ok game. Loading times take forever and after a while the game gets a bit boring. Same enemies/almost identical situations.

Frustrating!
On several occasions, objectives were unclear, and a lot of time is spent on where to go to proceed with the story line. To top it of, loading time takes too long when I died.
However, I guess it might be still worthwhile to get it, if you are a die-hard Duke Nukem Fan.

Not the best game going around
I bought this game knowing it got pretty bad reviews and it definitely lived up to them. I did manage to play through it and finish the SP campaign but only because I didn't want to feel like I wasted money buying it.

The Duke is back!!! 12 years in the making, and even though the graphics looked dated, its still a fun look back at the past and how first person shooters have evolved. I was disappointed... For a game that has been in development for 13/14 years, it should be better. Not that I'm comparing it to CoD or KZ or such, but it's not as good compared to games like Doom 3 or Quake 4. And these are games that are over 5 years old.
Nevertheless, it's a great game for those who liked Duke 3D. If you have a chance to buy it when it's cheap, get it! Because no other recent FPS games out there will be as cheesy, over the top, sexualised and funny as Duke Nukem Forever.

Hail to the King, baby!
After a decade of waiting the king is finally back! Gameplay is the same with updated visuals and the classic dialogs are still there for laughs. A simple FPS for any fan although the loading times are slow.. 3 stars

Good enough for me
Well after digesting all the negative reviews of this game one has to try it out himself to judge it and for me personally i have played Duke Nukem 3D and an hour into this game i understand why the reviews were bad but i could seriously think of other way way worse games that came out from 2009-2011. This game is at least a 6/10 at best and is no way deserving a full price but the graphics are alright, gameplay clunky as others are but the bottom line is this is a fan service so grab it if you enjoyed DN3D and hopefully you will like it like i do.

Over a decade later, the king is back
Its not going to innovate the gaming industry and doesn't have much to offer that's new, but the game fully embodies the macho spirit of the 90's, and knows what it wants to do: To blow stuff up and have fun doing so, and for the most part, it succeeds.

Finally Duke Nukem makes it to next-gen consoles. You'll love the hilarious dialogue and sly innuendoes. Gameplay is ok without being fantastic. An entertaining game to play if you keep expectations in check.

PC version is enjoyable
I found the entire game entertaining, many things to interact with and fun weapons, comedy and shear variety of content. Theres alot more fun content in this game compared to most FPS shooters I've played of late. I hope to see a level editor or a followup game to this franchise soon. I have the PC version and load times are fast, so are frame rates.

Major kudos to Gearbox for finally releasing this to the world. It's worth playing this game for the sole reason that you almost never got to.
Think of all the games that got cancelled before you got to even really see them...Thrill Kill, The Getaway 3, Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories (SOS The Final Escape 4). Now's your chance to play a major piece of gaming history.
If you understand that this game is built on historic foundations and tweaked slightly for the current systems, you'll have a good time. But you do need to play this with the mentality of an HD collection rather than comparing it to Crysis 2.

This game is old school, which is something I enjoy in addition to modern shooters. I'll still play through Doom and Duke Nukem 3D every now and then. I had no expectations for this title, I bought it more out of curiosity - something I had to see, and I did enjoy it.
However, I find it difficult to recommend this to you if you weren't playing games way back when, you aren't forgiving or you only buy a limited number of games per year.
The shooting is nothing special, but I found the arsenal fun to use, with many of 3D's guns returning. The term 'nothing special' is quite appropriate for most of the game. The design shows that several teams worked on the game, as the tone and atmosphere changes from silly opening, dark mid-section and finally a cut and paste corridor run to an easy final boss.
I've been quite down on the game so far, but as I said earlier I enjoyed my run through DNF. I've been gaming for almost 30 years, so I had a large dose of nostalgia to help, not to mention this game being one of many I will play this year.
The surprising problem I referred to in the title is the frame rate. I purchased the 360 version, though I doubt this is the issue. As a game in development for so long, it went through many engine changes (I think it started with the Quake engine), so was never going to stand up against the latest titles. I feel any players grumbling about dated textures etc are getting what they deserve, but I don't understand why it doesn't move at a silky smooth pace. The systems throwing these old rusty textures around wouldn't need to get out of bed, let alone break a sweat.
That sums up my feelings on the game, a rickety run through nostalgia land, that will be confusing to newcomers, a let down to others and enjoyable to the few. My last opinion is that it should have been released as a budget title, something perhaps not possible, but I'm assuming that's what is going to happen in game stores soon with DNF.
PS - no mention of the 'humour'. I've never considered Duke Nukem to be comedy, random moronic statements aren't really my thing.

If you are a HUGE duke than you can stomach this game. If not... I hate to say it, but skip this one. If this game wasn't duke, then the humor would be annoying. And most of the jokes and lines that don't come out of dukes mouth are in fact pretty annoying. I don't think the game is as bad as some gaming websites are saying. The graphics are not terrible, but they aren't great (but this game was supposed to come out a 10 years ago!!!). I am glad I got this game, but Duke 3d is on my top ten games of all times list. If you install the game, the load times are better, but still pretty long. Its a flawed game for sure, but has its moments.

Make sure you do not walk into this game expecting all the genre improvements are incorporated as it isn't, and technically this game is years behind even an average game.
I doubt this game will make any newcomers understand why duke has the status he 'had'. If you are looking for an alternative that feels a bit more in tune with modern game design, you should give bulletstorm a try.
