"Eastern Condors" was the top secret mission of Department of Defense in the United States in 1987. The mission was to destroy the munitions left over in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Since it was the top secret mission, Lieutenant Lam (Lam Ching Ying) could only select Chinese felons from the Federal prison lured by the right of residence and big money to execute the mission. As the irregular troop, they just had informal training before they went to Vietnam. During the mission, they had to pass over mountains and challenge their own wills. They started with no trust to become mutually supportive with one another at the end. However, only few of them were able to come back eventually.
