description
Sway to the music, it's not about testing your reflexes or complicated sequences of beats, Rhythm Tengoku is about having pure, unadulterated fun with a music. The Wario staff joined hands with the famous music producer Tsunku in creating the first game on the GameBoy Advance. Its sequel, Rhythm Tengoku Gold is a huge hit on the Nintendo DS.
Now, on the Nintendo Wii, the game will become even more colorful and fun. Instead of using the movement sensing devices, the game will focus on buttons.

Simple and addictive rhythm game
From the creative team that brought you warioware comes a simple game with a music twist. Challenging to perfect but simple to get into it easy. If you like music games in general, do yourself a favor and give this a try.

Tengoku The Third
This Wii episode is a straight continuation of the series. Easy to handle, hard to master. Multiple weird-o-funky stages, funny & quirky graphics, and a great sense of rhythm. Instant classic.

Rhythmic Heaven!
Even if you can't read Japanese, you can probably figure it out if you have a sense of rhythm.
An assortment of great music, random humor and mini-games, Rhythm Tengoku just can't be beat.

This is, in my opinion, the best game on GBA. It's really charming, and is one of the only rhythm games I know where the gameplay tells a story. I'm glad that I was able to get it from here so long after its release!

Must-buy game for DS! One of the best Japanese music game!
Lived up to the standard of the GBA version and more!
With Nintendo's touch screen technology, gameplay gets up another level.
Intuitive, quirky, great soundtrack, no need to understand Japanese for a thorough satisfying session.
Easily a collector's item!

Rhythm tengoku very good gba game
What made this a worthy buy was that it has a very simple way of playing it following the rhythm of the beat mini game which has 5 mini games then it remix them and it not that hard to play without knowing the Japanese text it very fun game highly recommend to any music gamers :)

Easy and hard at the same time
Simple, easy to learn, but a very difficult game. It teaches you to listen to the rhythm of the music instead of visual cues. Getting perfect on one style doesn't necessarily mean you can get a perfect on a different style. Fun, catchy, yet extremely challenging. I recommend it to all my friends!

Great game but the prequal was better
the music is great the gameplay is fun and addicting.
but puting rhythm tengoku(GBA) in slot 2 for more games
would have a great feature.
So RTG is a good game not nerely as fun as the first

Cool game
Very addicting and challenging music game.
There is just few moves with your stylus (everything is controlled by the stylus). Controls are really nice + you get to hold the DS like a book.
Offbeat = Try again.
Easy to learn and it offers a challenge. Definetly worth the money.

Simple idea, elegant execution, but look for the game to become quite difficult if you're not too rhythmic yourself.

Like RT, RTG is a lot of fun
If you're even a little bit interested in this game, just buy it. This game is packed with variation and is tons of fun. It'll last quite long too, getting a Perfect on each stage is strangely addicting.
I recommend buying the Japanese version since the dubbing quality of the American one isn't great.
Thanks for the great work Nintendo SPD1 and tsunko!

Rhythm is what you get
This game is just wonderful. Besides it's unique and simplistic -but cute- style, it's extremely simple mechanics makes it a incredible fun game.
It's easy to get the hang on it, even for children (my 8-y-o newphin got addicted to it) and very amusing. The music is very sticky and you have to have good rhythm sense to beat each stage. I think there are around 28 different gameplays, and then hardened versions of some, plus remix every 4 stages. One is better than the other. It can be very hard in some levels, so it's quite challenging!
It has some extra minigames and "rhythm toys" to pass the time. It's even perfect to play a stage or two when you're on the bus,in a waiting room, just fun in a moment!.
Even it got some options to read pure text (the prizes available on the Café once you mastered each stage), you can play all the stages and minigames without knowing a single word of japanese, so don't be afraid of buying it for being in japanese.
Highly recommended!

Very quirky, very awesome
Came across this game randomly on Play-Asia. Had to get it after I read about it. While no Japanese is needed to play the game, it takes a few minutes to get used to the menus, but once you do, it's all a breeze. Great gameplay, think Warioware meets rhythm game. It met all my expectations and more!

Worth to get
If you like 'wario ware' style games or Rhythm games in general, you really can't go wrong with RTG. Starts simple, but grows progressively harder, it will keep you buy for a while.
Best of all its one of the more friendly titles for the non-japanese speaker - If you played Ouendan (without being confused) then this should not be a problem.

Brilliant!
Wackier than Ouendan an it has more reliance on actual musical timing than just speed, so it's harder too.

Very fun
Similar to the first game. Touch screen makes it more challenging thus more fun as the first game was a tad too easy.
Very Import friendly if you don't want to wait for the English version.

Quirky, yet awesome.
This will get you hooked with the crisp visuals and the simple mechanics. Quirky presentations and great music makes this a one of a kind rhythm game, if you never played the first one, this is a great time to start getting addicted to the Rhythm series.

The only problem I have with this game is the difficulty curve of some of the games. Other then that, it is a perfect followup to the first Rhythm Tengoku, and a must buy for all mini-game fans!

Short but Sweet
I won't lie to you - it won't take you long to unlock everything (although there's great fun to be had in trying to perfect each game), but it's a highly recommended experience nonetheless - the language barrier is nonexistent, so there's nothing stopping you C:

FANTASTIC!
I haven't played any of the Wario series before, but as soon as I started playing it, I was hooked on either obtaining the gold medals or just simply unlocking the next stage.
They are charming, addictive, loads of fun - and start to become hard if you don't pay close attention to what is going on :)

Impressive.
I love all kinds of music-based games, but have little talent when it comes to actual playing...this fact was definitely reflected in my experience so far, but even with seeing the failure screen over and over again I still keep going back to it for more. The only 'problem' is that the music is so addictive that you're probably going to have something from the game stuck in your head after you put it down.

Buy or Die

Yep, just buy it. It's one of the best GBA titles. And don't worry about the fact that it's completely in japanese because it really doesn't matter.
There's more: if you like WarioWare series, then you absolutely have to buy Rhythm Tengoku!

Simple mechanics = simple fun. Buy this game.
I simply cannot believe how many gameplay variations the developers found for the simple task of hitting the button to the beat—the sole gameplay mechanic in Rhythm Tengoku.
This game reiterates my stance that gameplay can be just as enjoyable (at times more so) when kept simple.
Rhythm Tengoku has the player tapping either the A button or the D-Pad to the beat of the music in WarioWare style mini-games. Each mini-game manages to remain unique even though they’re all rhythm based.
The music is cute, the graphics are charming, and the game is just difficult enough without being punishing.
If you’re a fan of rhythm games, you should import Rhythm Tengoku. A collection of rock-solid rhythm games would be incomplete without it. A note to importers: While the main game can be enjoyed without knowing any Japanese, there are areas of the game that are VERY written Japanese heavy which were totally lost on me.

Rhythm Tengoku is a very import friendly game. You don`t have to understand Japaneese to enjoy this title. Catchy music, simple controls and tons of fun. If you enjoyed the WarioWare-titles and like rhythm games, you can`t go wrong with this one!
To D. hwo needed help:
Just choose the second opinion on the main screen to do the rhythm-test-thing that you saw the first time you turned the game on.

WarioWare team does it again!!!!!!!
Rhythm Tengoku just might be the single greatest game J.P. Room has ever made. The game is easily playable regardless of what language you call your own however some of the extra stuff can be confusing, For Example the cafe and the letters you receive(if they are indeed letters)are certainly head-scratchers, fortunatly those sections of the game don't interfere with the Rhythm of Rhythm Tengoku.
Overall my highest recomendation for an import game.

So, my girlfriend let me borrow this game and I totally did something & I can't figure out how to get it back to the way it was.
When I start the game, it doesn't go to the main menu like it used to. Instead, it goes to a game where you just press the A button with the beat. The first time you get a printed sheet of the beats you pressed, and then nothing happens the second time. I can't read Japanese so I have no idea what I did or how I can get it back.
Any help?

Only for fun :o)
Rien a ajouter a mon titre. Ce jeu est completement delirant avec des minis jeux vraiment prenant.
De plus, outre une difficulté bien presente, le plaisir de refaire chaque epreuve reste intacte et la course aux medailles tient en haleine. Genial !!!

you MUST play this game!
This game is absolutely fantastic. If you like music/rhythm games, and you like the quirky-ness of Wario Ware, then this game is for you.
Catchy music, great game play, it has it all. Makes you definitely want to come back and more and more!
You won't regret a purchase of this title. And, very import friendly too!

Hilarious and fun.
Just what you'd expect from the creators of WarioWare (well, except for Touched!), this game is hilarious and extremely entertaining. Now I'm conflicted whether or not I want Rhythm Tengoku 2 or WarioWare: Twisted! 2!
