one of the finest racing games available today
With F1 2010 you get to drive good looking cars against clever opponents and experience a racing game with a very realistic racing experience. The physics and weather effects are phenomenal, and the courses are for the most part accurately represented. The game has a frankly obscene amount of content to discover. The long loading times, bad damage system and bothersome pit stops mars the experience slightly.

Almost perfect
Are you an F1 fan? You need this game. Stop reading and buy it now! Go ahead, I'll wait.
This game really caters well to all levels of driver skill and F1 fan interest. The driver aides can make the driving experience pretty easy so you can learn the track layouts and not have to worry about spinning out every time you touch the accelerator. But turn them off and hardcore drivers get the full experience of having to wrestle with the car control. You can even finely balance car setup like aerodynamics to match the track conditions and your driving style if you wish.
A driving wheel controller really enhances the game and control is superb. For F1 fans you can experience the full weekend with practice sessions, qualifying session and the race itself. Race length can be set from 20% of normal to full length (2hr) races. Pit-in strategies can be set and while in the garage you can sit and watch the timing screens and work out when to go out on track (and what set up you need) to get a good grid position.
The game does force you to conform to racing rules and aggressive driving (running into other cars, causing accidents etc) will result in grid/time penalities. So you need to drive smarter when overtaking and create opportunities rather than just smashing your way through the field.
The voice over of the engineer is handy to keep you informed of your status and what other drivers are up to. One thing I would have liked to have seen is to have the engineer tell you the names of the track corners during the pratice session so when you watch a real race you know what the commentators are talking about.
You have a career to look after which involves considering offers to join other teams. You also have post race interviews which contribute to how you are perceived by others and has a bearing on the position offers you get. So this game gives you the full experience of the F1 season!
I can't wait to see the next edition of F1, this one is so good already. I'd love to see them publish a historic F1 racing game covering all the eras and the old tracks with banked corners etc that we'll never see again in formula one.

This game is everything you would expect from a Codemasters development. The Codemasters team has produced a great game that shows you what it could be like behind the scenes in the F1 world as well as what it's like on the track.
The game gives you the best of racing leaving out overly complicated set-ups and other non-interesting things that have plagued games in the past. This game lets you get on with racing and competing for the top spot. The graphics are beyond what has ever been done before and only add to the the F1 experience.
The simulated realism allows you to engross yourself into the game while out on the track with near realistic track behavior from subtle bumps going into a corner to high grip braking areas coming out of a sweeping bend. This game offers the best of racing to date as well as superior AI that is consistently challenging you on track.
The online option offers racers to compete against the world and rank yourself against others.
A recommended buy for any racing enthusiast - you will not be disappointed.

This is a very realistic simulation of the perils of F1 racing. Has a great level of playablity to drivers of all levels and is fun for those with a passion for F1. Highly recommended, another excellent effort from Codemasters!!!

Great game
It's one of the greatests F1 games ever made, nor really a sim, but as an F1 game, puts you perfectly in a driver's Skin.
GRaphics are very good, but not optimization. It has got a few bugs, as lollipop bug at pitsops, but the entire game gives you a good sensation.
Level ascension is well ballanced and when you are got to the controls, game is marvellous.
I'd highly recommend it.

f1 fan must enjoy this
The fun not only in the race but also in the practice section. Try to beat the other's time are really challange. I found that the hardest section is in practice section and try to learn to take a corner. Once I get use to it then the race is where the real fun begin.

You like serious racing this is for you
F1 2010 is a good game, it certainly is the best Formula 1 game ever made to date and really immerse you into the whole experience from the main menu to the garage and then onto the track. The career mode and the multiplayer are all fun and competitive, even if you are not good at the game, you can still enjoy yourself. F1 2010 could possibly be one of the best racing games of the year but with upcoming title such as Gran Turismo 5 and Need for Speed in not sure F1 will get all the credit it deserves and with the few problems like the repetitive speech and occasional AI flaws I would recommend that you only get F1 2010 if you are interested in the sport and want to experience the thrills of travelling at 180mph on some of the most prestigious tracks and you want to pit your skills against some of the greatest racing drivers of our time, as well as dealing with the logistical challenges of arranging what lap to pit, which tyres to use and what car setup to go for.
F1 2010 is certainly a good game but if you're looking for a more generic racing game, this is not for you and I would recommend Grid or the Dirt series which are also created by the same Codemasters team and suffer from fewer flaws than F1 but even saying that I can't help but warn you F1 is a totally unique racing experience and can become quite addictive, especially when you get into the swing of thing.

finally, a game that captures the spirit of F1. controls and maneuverabilty are awesome. handling is superb, with the right setup of course. the balance between being an arcade and a simulation is carefully tuned that both the beginner and the hardcore racer can have a hell of a goodtime. excellent game, kudos to codemasters.

A mix of Forza and Arcade
Codemasters reached the top with this game. They came to a Forza style simulator mixed with a Dirt2 arcade control. After hours playing, I could even turn off all the assists and really felt like driving! I seriously recommend this game.

An awesome fan experience
Being a huge fan of F1, I was pleasantly surprised with this game. The engine sounds are authentic, you just got to love the way an F1 engine sounds through a good sound system! The music tracks that accompany the replays are great too with some nice songs from great artists.
Vehicle handling through the Xbox 360 Racing Wheel is also super!
All in all, a truly authentic F1 experience for a devoted fan.

More than a simple race game, this game is a complete simulation of F1, including car sets, paddock, press conference, contracts, objectives...the best game about F1! I recommend!

Much better than F1 2009!
This latest edition of F1 games from Codemasters is a realy step up from their earlier 2009 attempt, which to be honest seemed slightly rushed. F1 2010 brings you right into the drivers world, with press interviews and complete control of car set up and aerodynamics making you feel like a real F1 driver. I would highly recommend buying a steering wheel and pedals to go with this game. And for anyone wondering if the Thrustmaster 5 in 1 universal challenge works with this game? Yes it does. You just need to go into the options section of the game and under driving controls choose custom and program the wheel into the game.
I will never tire of this game.
However in F1 2011 I'd like to see a safety car and a few other things bringing it closer to the real thing.
Anyway I give this 4 stars because it's great but missing a couple of things. A great buy and perfect for any F1 fans.

F1 2010 brings you right into the drivers world, with press interviews and complete control of car set up and aerodynamics making you feel like a real F1 driver. I would highly recommend buying a steering wheel and pedals to go with this game. And for anyone wondering if the Thrustmaster 5 in 1 universal challenge works with this game? Yes it does. You just need to go into the options section of the game and under driving controls choose custom and program the wheel into the game.
I will never tire of this game.
However in F1 2011 I'd like to see a safety car and a few other things bringing it closer to the real thing.
Anyway I give this 4 stars because it's great but missing a couple of things. A great buy and perfect for any F1 fans.

Coming from Codemasters, what should you expect? Dirt 1, 2, Grid, Fuel... they are all amazing, so it is this one, the best F1 game ever. Period.

Best racer out there
Great game that really puts you into the shoes of being an F1 driver. I enjoyed Codies GRID and DIRT so was excited when they picked up the F1 licence, and I feel they have done the sport justice.
The sense of speed seems to have been captured well, although playing with the driver aids off means I have spent a lot of time facing the wrong way on the track!

First decent F1 sim - slightly buggy
There hasn't been a good F1 simulator in the gaming industry, so the fact that Codemaster has taken on the responsibility of developing a game that has the playability of DIRT but the sophistication of a driving sim.
Deep fans of the sport will definitely love this game, with the ability to customize and fine tune your car. And the career mode is definitely a plus!

F1 2010 review - close to perfect
If you like Formula 1 then you have to buy this game. It is streets ahead of the previous F1 game on the PS3. Graphics are top-notch and it's a very comprehensive simulator. Online play is generally excellent. The career mode media sections are disappointing, but that's not critical to the game as a whole.

This ultra realistic game is one of the best motor racing games that i have played recently. Difficulty settings are well set giving everyone from novices to experts chances to excel and win races. And the pressure of F1 racing feels quite real-even when the pit crew buzz in with messages(both relevant and irrelevant)-the fact that this aspect is there adds to the human nature and realism of F1 racing.
The graphics are superb, there is the occasional glitch on pit entry but it doesnt take away from the positives of the game. Damage, tyre wear and adjustable settings are realistic and weather conditions are all very realistic-tyre wear also.
Codemasters have again proven to be the kings of motorsport games for the time being, will have to see if GT5 can take back the mantle when it eventually gets released

This game is not without its bugs; everyone is gushing over it because there is little other options, or they are easily pleased. I enjoy the experience, however, there are some things Codemasters have overlooked (e.g. exiting pit lane crossing the unbroken line to join the racing line? this attracts a penalty IRL) or rushed (everything pit-related).
The AI is not too bad in race mode, but they appear to have the same attitude in every other session (practice/qualy), and this works out terribly. The race engineer is useless on the radio 90% of the time.
These niggles take the gloss away from a fun racer on a race series dear to my heart. But I wont stop playing it haha.

Definitely not one for the casual gamers as it aint easy, but this makes it all the more rewarding when you gradually start to improve and get on the podium. Given that this a proper sim, you definitely need a steering wheel to play it - the dual shock is near impossible to use.

Rest assured that the world's most expensive motor-sport is in the hands of the developers of award winning games - GRID & Dirt 3. Absolutely great gaming engine (EGO). The only donwside of the game is the lack of commentary, hopefully Codemasters would release an add-on for this or something similar. All you need now is a good racing simulation setup.

Lets admit it, we never liked any of the previous formula one games. F1 2010 will blow your mind away, it is a very realistic take on F1 and teaches alot to non F1 hardcore fans. To the F1 fanatics, it is a very very good racing experience
