description
The game takes players to an era when the Cocoon crumbles. In this new world, everyone assums that Lightning is dead, except for Sara, who has never given up on her sister.
A new character came into the picture. Noel has powerful spells up his sleeve and together with Sara and the Moogle, they set off to explore the unknown lands. Monsters attack in hordes and after the battle, players will be presented with an option to befriend these beasts. The beasts all have special skills, so make good use of them to boost your attacks.
Cinematic cut-ins plays a huge roll in the battles. Punch in the right button sequences on screen to launch a sure kill skill.

The version to get.
This is Final Fantasy in its natural habitat (Japanese audio), but can be easily understood by English-speaking players.
Battle system is better than FFXIII. Monster raising is alright. Story-wise...eh, play it to find out. Plot is a bit weak, though.

Awesome sequel (8.25/10)
- Intro
With only a couple hours into the game, here's my review for FF13-2 Chinese version.
- Story Line: 9/10
Awesome continuum of FF13 series, however, little cliff hangers. Maybe because I haven't finished the game yet.
- Game System: 9/10
Huge improvement and variety from FF13 in regards to the game system. Love the pet system that they added. More exploring can be done. However, maybe gameplay too short? For 100%, it'll probably take longer, however, just to finish the game it was probably too short, according to friends who have finished it quickly (30hrs).
- Presentation: 9/10
Graphics and CG are awesome as usual. Japanese voices, in my opinion are so much better compared to the English voices. Playing the game and understanding the story line how it's supposed to be. For the Chinese version, the English subtitles may be translated differently. So it may be confusing sometimes when you listen the Japanese voices and then compared them to the subtitles since they are incorrect sometimes.
- Music/OST: 6/10
The BGM could have been better. FF13 had awesome BGM tracks but FF13-2 was somehow missing them or went to a different direction. The OST was awesome. Loved it. However, BGM was a let down.
- Overall: 8.25/10
Awesome sequel to FF13. Too bad it was too short. More in-depth storyline could have made it 10/10. Gotta love the new additional to battle/game system. They should have had this in FF13 in the first place. Big improvement on explorations. BGM could have been much, much better. All and all, still an awesome FF game!

Great Game
With English subtitles and menus, you can experience this game in a language you know but hear it in its original language. For those who favor the Japanese voices over the English ones, this is your best option. With many improvements over the first game, it becomes an enjoyable experience. You can also use the English save file from the first game with this version to unlock a XMB theme. Also, by setting your PS3 system language to Chinese, there will be Chinese subtitles and menus instead.

No regrets!! =D
If you prefer the Japanese voice, but can't understand a word of it... then this is for you.
I never regretted buying this version of the game. I get to hear the Japanese voices that I prefer with English subtitles. The hours spent for the whole gameplay is about 30-40 hours but I've finished the storyline and I'm going back for more sidequests! I think I can clock 100 hours on this.

it's good
the story may seem confusing at first, but as you advance you see the whole picture, alot of extra content and post game stuff to do.
