Good, fast monster hunter clone.
Does what it says on the tin, lets you eat gods.

Great game!
The game is awesome: great gameplay, thrilling story and of course a huge amount of weapons.
I believe this game is better than Monster Hunter and Lord of Arcana!

Awesomest weapon ever!
Many games have you run around with a sword and shield. Other games may have you run around with a gun.
THIS game has you run around with all three merged into one super weapon.
Yes, you wield a sword/shield/gun hybrid weapon.
And it eats monsters. Seriously.
The world is overrun with some kind of monsters and you have to beat them senseless with your God Arc. Yes, it is so awesome it has the word 'god' in it.
Every battle is like an epic boss battle with you frantically mashing buttons. You know that one boss you love to fight and wish you could fight again?
That, all the time.
Awesome game with awesome customization features. Not only can you choose what you look (and even sound!) like you can customize your weapon as well.
Especially bullets. If you want to make a bullet that shoots straight up into the air, fire shotgun shells down onto your enemies and then explode like a bomb then you can do it. This game is hardcore-awesome.

Great game
This is a great title. It plays somewhere between Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy Dissidia and other similar hack and slash games. The combination of fast paced sword play with shooting elements is relatively well done, although shooting is mostly useful for laying down a barrage on the enemy monsters rather than using as a primary weapon. Characters are well fleshed out, and the plot leaves you wondering what will happen next, while wondering how much of it is trying to trick you into thinking the outcome will be something entirely different. This blend of sci-fi with character development and some mystery keeps the player interested.
The English translation is basically the US version. The problems with the US translation is that it is very male-centric (female player characters still get called "he", not "she" or even "they") in main cutscenes, but otherwise in non-voiced dialogue the translation is fairly well done. Despite its flaws, the English version is probably better for English speakers than Japanese, even if you really want Japanese voice actors, since there is so much in the plot that you won't understand otherwise and it will take away from the value of the game, which can get hard if you're not paying attention to what you're meant to be doing in missions.

God Eater Burst
As a huge Monster Hunter fan in waiting for localization of MHP3rd, I was looking for something to keep me happy. Lord of Arcana was a bitter disappointment, but this game is fantastic!
It's not at as 'hardcore' as Monster Hunter, but it has a story, and manages to differ itself from the others in the genre enough to be a lot of fun. The idea of a weapon that performs various functions is a great idea too - sword, gun, shield, it does it all!
Highly recommended.
