Great single player, amazing graphics and familiar controls and to top it off an amazing statue that is very detailed.
Really fun game with a great campaign. Very fun to play coop with friends.
great game collection
With team mates solo gameplay. Good story, good game quality. Basically core gameplay is the same though.
Best coop game u can play with yr friends, lots of fun n laughter
This is the first HALO I played and I am impressed. This game is simply awesome.
This is hands down one of the best FPS ever made. The limited edition diary is awesome.
A great end to a great series.
Good plot, good development. I'm more immersed in the world of Halo now =)!
I'm not Halo fan at all but I just like Sci-Fi an halo gives you a good time for that part.
As always the game provides a smooth engine and solid game play.
The AI can be really challenging sometimes too.
Great fun in 4 players splitscreen...
This is a great Halo game. The single player is great like always and the online is also a blast. They make some great tweaks to both. I am getting a little tired of Halo after 5 games. I put far less time into this game than Halo 1 or Halo 3. Like COD, Halo is basically putting out the same game with small improvements. You know you are getting a solid game here, I put well over 100 hours into this game, I am just ready for some big chances in the Halo franchise or they need to end it and move to a different game (which the original developers have indeed done!!!)
Price is decent
Awesome game. Nice graphics and amazing scenarios. For those like me who loves shooter games its a necessary buying. You need to have it on your desk. You can also trust on PLAYASIA. One of the best stores I've ever see.
I was looking forward to this game, having quite enjoyed the other games in the series. I played through the campaign in about a week, and when it finished, I couldn't really remember any particular part of it. Sure, we'd destroyed a covenant ship, and flown around a bit, and shot lots of bad guys, but it all gelled together (that's a reference to both the smooth gameplay and the lack of impact of the story).
So, disappointed, I tried some multiplayer with a friend. I'd already been in the beta, so knew what to expect, and it was still very fun. But I'm not really a multiplayer person.
So I had a nose around the other stuff in Reach. I'd been unlocking stuff in the armory, and had even bought stuff already, but saw a few nice pieces which I needed more credits to buy. I also looked at the achievements and saw some which I'd missed which I could get quite easily.
So I dived into the meta-game. That was over six months ago, and according to my stats, I've completed over 80 missions. As the campaign is only nine missions, that means I've played through the entire game about nine times! I've completed it on Legendary. I've completed it on co-op. I've completed missions with various combinations of skulls. I've taken to checking the Daily and Weekly challenges every day, to see if there's something there I'd find fun AND would give me a credits boost!
And this month, I've changed gamertags, and have started playing through it all AGAIN with all of my stats reset!
Oh, and I even like the story now!
Love this game! Highly recommended~
Awesome game, the best halo.
Bought this and arrive within the next few days... a must have for the fans of Halo... The only con is the action figures are stick to the based floor itself. Other than that, the goodies are exceptionally AWESOME!!!
An amazing package for one of the finest shooters ever crafter. Bungie returns to out do themselves in their last production of the famous series. Initial thoughts were that the Halo franchise would become stagnant but this entry throws that idea out the window. Gameplay changes and enhances have made this the best Halo experience yet. This isn't a fight to finish, this is it just getting started.
Great package bundle and game is very cool.
I got this game for a bargain price from Play-Asia, and it was my first Halo game. While I don't like FPS myself, I decided to give this a shot because of the Halo game. I think it's decent, but don't get what all the hype is about. Maybe, it's because of my dislike towards first person shooters. But I'll give it at least 3 stars for what it's worth.
This is one of the best limited edition games, what makes it even better is that i got it at the discount price :)
Yeah Halo reach is a great game...though it was a little hard for me to initially understand the story coz i haven't really played the initial releases and tried jumping off to this one only....the graphics are great.... story m pretty out of this league.. though i got a gist of it....!!! Pretty not impressed by the guns they have....shud have been more options..... once the initial gun's bullets are over u have no option to get it again... tht's bad..some of the parts are really hard to play but it's damm interesting.....good gaem..... looking forward for the sequel....!!!
This game features a truly great single player campaign and nicely tweaked graphics. This is a must for fans of the Halo series. However, it's advances do not really separate it from previous titles enough to grant a 5 star review. I hope that they leave the series alone until the next generation of consoles come out and they can really advance the game.
Its a real treat to unbox the package. Its like its Christmas! :) Thereby the game is superb!
Thanks to PA, i now have Halo Reach LE added to my collection! Great collectable judging from the items u get out of this! Love the box!
While initially I was disappointed with the campaign, and finished it with a feeling of 'meh', the game around the campaign supports a lot of replayability and it has really grown on me. I was also disappointed with the graphics, but recently going back to Halo 3 has made me appreciate Reach's graphics much, much, MUCH more! Finally, the multiplayer is better than ever - the best in the series so far!
HOWEVER... I prefer the warthog handling in 3. :P
Managed to get it at a low discounted price when price vwere limited. Game is just excellent itself, and the other stuff is just fantastic.
The unboxing of the package as almost as wesome as the game itself. ABSOLUTELLY AMAZING for Halo fans. The game is fantastic. The package is awesome. Must have.
Halo Reach is definitely the best Halo game so far. I can't quite give it five starts because I think that it still could be a lot better, but it has certainly improved.
one of the best games on xbox360
best halo game ever. believe it.
I really like the Halo series. This title is the best. The game-play is brilliant. Buy it and you will enjoy it
great deal! and if you like halo you will love the special edition items that come along with it. if you like shooters, halo is a great game, one of the giants of shooter games
At this price who can resist?
Bought it for the amazing price! But didnt enjoy the game much.
I really like the limited edition. Love the journal come with it, gimme alot of insight for the game. Price is very nice too compare to the game age.
buy it if you like fps game
this is one of the must have FPS in 360!!
Excellent FPS....and the box is so nice
you dont want to miss it!
i have both xb360 and ps3. after finishing the halo3, i put the xbox360 back to its box. halo 3 sucks. after about half year spent all my game time on ps3 and pc, i bought this halo reach at a very good price. i tried it. WOW!!!thatis the game i want to play. i put aside killzone3 for now, just sold modern warfare2. there is a huge leap in terms of graphic compared to halo3, (btw, i sold a new halo odst, just because halo 3 was really dissapointing), a small improvement in the music and sound effect. i dont know how to hold weapons in both hands, maybe it's been cancelled in reach? it is the only gripe of mine.
i would like to recommend this game to all fps player. i am sure you can get huge fun playing it online or with friends. while i dont wanna pay for that "previlege", when psn is free to use.
This game when compared to the others in the halo series will be the best though there isn't much changes to the experience and there's nothing new implemented. This limited edition comes with an artifact bag with story information and a different packaging as well as in game elite armor. A must have for halo fans and at such a price for the limited edition, grab it now before it's gone.
One of the best games of the year, is a very good FPS, to keep the collection and recommended the limited Edition
I had the chance to buy this one for 14,90! The best buy I ever did!
No more to add.
Fantastic game!!! That is the first time that I played Halo and Love it. If you like first shooters game, that the one!!! In all game options you can play with a friend. Nice fun and challenges. .
Halo:Reach is amazing. I, personally, did not like halo 3 so much but Reach was incredible. Great campaign. I recommend this game to everyone, especially those who like fps.
I bought it at Weekly Offer. Got a very cheap price for a great game. Thanks Play-Asia to always have their Weekly Offer games.
This is the first game since...well, the first game (CE) to get me interested in the Halo franchise again. The gameplay is solid, but it takes some getting used to after having played some of the other FPSs. The campaign is decent enough, but for me, it just didn't have the sense of urgency found in games such as KZ3. Visuals were also pretty nice. Unfortunately, as I don't have a gold account, I'm not able to play the multiplayer, and I'm aware that multiplayer for Halo is basically the main draw, so this review is very limited. But for the single player, its a solid game, just make sure you've played the other installments or you'll be left indifferent like myself.
If you like FPS & fast action. Haro reach is for you !
This was my most recent Halo experience since Halo 2 and although loving the multiplayer, the single player campaign was a real mixed bag. Regular frame rate drops at key "epic" moments and a storyline that only really got interesting in the final hour of the game. As a result the strength of the multiplayer is the only real reason for purchasing this game.
I'm no halo fan, but this game definately is nice! :)
This game is a great addition to Halo series, a must have for anyone who liked the other Halo games.
... nuff said... :)
If you liked Halo 3, then you'll surely like Halo Reach as well. If you haven't played Halo 3, you can give either one a try as they're similar, but each have their own quirks. Some of the great things about this game include co-op mode in a great campaign mode, many different multi-player versus modes, many weapons and vehicles available to play around with and overall great controls for your character.
My one warning is that many of the campaign stages in Halo Reach are generally dark (in terms of lighting). Some people may get dizzy after playing it for a while, although this can be alleviated somewhat by turning up brightness for the game.
For those wondering about compatibility, I can confirm that this version works on my North American XBox 360. Language and subtitles are defaulted as English. Instruction manual comes with both English and I think Chinese, so it's a bit thick.
This Game Is Amazing, Play Together With Your Friends, And Experience The Greatness Of HALO! Environment So Beautiful And The Battle So Exciting, Thank You Play Asia For Giving A Great Game With A Great Price.
graet Game, Thanks
Great package. Great game. Great for Xbox360 fans!
Bello REACH HALO kit in my house at my place of exhibition perfect for enjoying mmmjjjmmm lol
Halo, of course is my favourite gaming franchise. When I turned on Halo Reach I was completely blown away. This is the best Halo game to date. First of all, if your not playing this game in hi def, your missing out. The visuals are just outstanding. The solo mode is one of the best campaigns I have ever played. Since it's a prequel to the original Halo, you'd think it wouldn't be that great, but it's outstanding. The story pulls you in so much, and during the cut scenes I even got goose bumps. Well, since that's not the only thing people look for in the Halo games, wait until you play on-line match making. It's the heart of Halo, based on earning credits, kind of like xp, to unlock all different kinds of armour, etc. It also gives you the feature of saving your own screen shots and record clips to save in your file share, very addicting. Another thing that keeps me coming back daily is the daily challenges. These are updated everyday, with certain tasks to complete to earn credits. Another big improvement in this game is the firefight mode. They really improved it, and you should definitely check it out. This game really males me happy just because bungie is so community friendly. I mean, what game makes new challenges daily? Overall, this is my most favourite game I have played for my 360, and I would tell anyone to play it because it's a flawless masterpiece, very addicting.
This package is so cool and I'm not opening it. Keeping it as collection.
People may think otherwise but this has been my fav in the Halo series. Thanks PA for a sweet deal and helping out in Japan!
A masterpiece! Must have for all Halo Fans!
For the price, it's definitely worth buying. A great prequel to the original Halo Trilogy.
Sólo traducido al español los menús y escenas cinemáticas, durante el juego todo lo que está en inglés no está traducido al español!! :(

Definitely a must have for HALO fans. Contains a lot of small details that every fan would love!!
its the newest and great game from halo series
1 of great edition of my limited collection
a must have
great game come with all art-works
they show the art-work and you must impressive.
own this one!
If you fan of Halo, you must have it!
the great quality!
This is one of the best first-person shooter I've ever played. Excellent gameplay, beautiful envronments, amazing music and exciting story.
Must have game for shooter fans
It's an amazing game..Great visual effects and the bonuses that came with the game are great..Totally LOVED it!!!
I've never played any Halo games, but I must say this is a great game if you arent a Halo fan
Great action, great graphics, great sound. The single player is excellent. The multiple is also excellent. A must for all FPS fans.
I love it! The ability to choose special abilities makes each round so much fun. I will say I find it a pain when during online Infection a clean kill is made against a zombie and it shows that I betrayed someone and they boot me from the game. That is a real piss off glitch in the system!
Halo Reach is a fantastic shooter and definitely is the best in the series. Multiplayer alone is so rich and diverse, that I'm almost sure I'll be playing this game well into 2011.
If you like the Halo series, you need to buy it. The game is perfect.
Halo Reach is one of the best experiences you will have on Xbox 360 and offers some of the best online multiplayer gaming available. Great price here as well.
The best Halo game ever. From the point the presentation starts and up to the end of the campaign, and the countless multiplayer options and The Forge, this game is the last Halo Bungie will make, and its also a farewell letter to all the supportive community, showing dedication and love into every detail in the game.
- The story is better developed and told than in previous entries of the franchise.
- Difficulty is very well tunned from the beginning to the end. Action is a little less frantic than in previous Halos, not as much strafing and jumping, but a little more cover and tactic are required.
- Locations are varied and unique in terms of gameplay.
- Improved graphics.
- A vast amount of multiplayer options, player customization and an excellent level editor which will allow you to share multiplayer levels with other users.
Halo Reach is one of the best experiences you will have on Xbox 360 and offers some of the best online multiplayer gaming available. Great price here as well.
If you're into the Halo storyline / universe you will have a field day with this game. I, myself haven't played many Halo games but I can honestly say this is the cream of the Halo crop. Insane amount of multiplayer content with a visually stunning single player make this one game you NEED to put in your Xbox 360.
Put everything good about halo together and you get reach, it was a must get for me.
there is no reason for you to ignore this game, if you are a first person shooter or an online multiplayer aficionado. Halo reach is the best for several simple reasons:
- improved graphics
- increased difficulty in the campaigns
- more and more content in multiplayer!!!
Halo reach is simply the best among the series, with the increased difficulty in the campaigns, a great deal of multiplayer content, and improved graphics. If you are a halo fan, you cannot miss this edition, it contains great collectibles worth of the extra bucks.
One of the best games I've played! I actually thought the campaign and single player mode was great. Halo, in my opinion, has always had an excellent story line and I'm a gamer who will only buy games with an excellent story line. Although I still loved Halo 2 the most, Halo Reach is still a great game! Recommend.
Like all Halo games the storyline isn't anything special; Bioshock it isn't. That said, if you enjoyed the story of the last ones then this is more of the same so you'll love it.
All the achievements in Reach can be earned offline, so if you don't have Live you can still get good value out of it.
Online multiplayer has done away with the ranking system, but instead keeps you playing with the credit system and it's player customisation. The armor abilities and loadouts make the game a bit more TF2 "class" system-esque, but still retains the core of the Halo series and sufficiently replaces equipment from 3.
If you haven't played Firefight (aka. that gametype they ^totally^ didn't steal from Gears of War) then this is one of the best co-op multiplayer experiences you can have.
All in all, Reach is the definitive Halo and worth the buy.
Halo Reach is Bungie's last Halo game and it is definitely Halo at it's best. The campaigns are exciting and all the good points from the previous Halo games are all combined into 1 Halo reach. Dont miss the best Halo yet!
As bungie's swan song for the Halo franchise, this game is a must play for anyone who has been following the series since its inception nearly a decade ago.
The game seems archaic at times and the story has a lot of missed opportunities. Still, this is the Halo we all have grown to love. A must for every Halo fan!
I'll be honest, I don't normally play shooters. However, Reach is fun for a simple reason: Multiplayer.
I don't mean online (our connection is terrible), but the fact that you can play offline using split-screen pushes this over other games like War for Cybertron. The various modes give Halo: Reach more replayability, my personal favourite being the matches where you are primarily armed with a rocket launcher.
The story also helps fill in a few things about the Halo universe, which is always fun. Was getting tired of the Chief.
No offense, Master Chief.
Definitely has a lot of content and great multiplayer!
Maybe this is the best game in this year that I played.
If you are hesitating, you should buy it.
Fantastic game love the new abilities.
HAs a different feel to Halo 3 which i think is great.
First of all i would just like to thank play-asia for the excellent and fast customer service in getting this game out to me.
Halo reach is unlike any other halo game, it really is very fun to play (especially LAN and on LIVE) and has a very fast paced environemnt.
There are plenty of achievements to unlock and that should keep one occupied for a number of hours.
Once again we see the the 'firefight' option which many would remember from ODST. In this mode players take on increasingly difficult waves of enemies in a game of survival....
GET IT NOW !!! !!!
Halo: Reach is getting all the rave reviews all around, and it's easy to see why. WIth a ton of content here, this is an incredibly good-looking game (huge improvement over Halo 3), with some of the best first-person shooting mechanics around. Plus solid storytelling and a lot more options multiplayer, there is no reason for not getting this game.
From the very start of the game, you can tell it's a much better game than ODST, with identifiable characters and a great story. Still undecided as to whether it's better than Halo 3 or not, they feel like slightly different games to me in regards to atmosphere etc, but it's definitely as good. A great showing by Bungie for their last Halo game.
After the mish-mash dissapointment that I felt with ODST. I wasn´t very excited about Reach. Oh boy... was I wrong...
The graphics are better than ever. The single player campaign is somewhat longer and the multiplayer has been revamped.
If you´re looking for a great game to play on Co-op... BUY IT NOW!
For those worried about purchasing the game because it has chinese lettering on it -- don't worry. The game is entirely in english, it plays on my standard us bought console, and there is absolutely no difference between this version and the one you will pay $20 more for locally.
halo reach is an awesome fps with all the ingredients a good game needs. the single player campaign has to offer a good story, nice cinematics and is a good training for the multiplayer part of the game which will entertain you for month.
I always hated the idea of Console FPS-es. What's the fun in them? I can always play CoD or TF2 on my PC,with a mouse and keyboard. I'll be able to snipe better.
But playing Halo Reach has changed that. I still prefer playing with a Mouse and Keyboard, but Halo is a X360 exclusive, meaning I'll never play it with a Mouse or a Keyboard anytime soon.
Halo Reach is fun, fast paced, and the controls never make you feel that you're slow and sluggish thanks to it's multiple sensitivity options. And not to mention Halo was pretty much build to play with the controller,so nothing feels out of place. No scrolling through your seemingly countless number of weapons. You only have 2 at any one time. The whole game was built for the console.
Halo is recommended for anyone who owns the X360. Even if you do not like to shoot, you'll still have a blast, whether alone or with friends.
And the online play.... You've probably heard countless praises for it already.
Halo Reach is the best game in the series bar none. It has the strongest narrative, best graphics and most robust mulitplayer of any of the Halo games, but it's not without fault. The last 5th of the game is a bit sluggish, and the combat puzzle formula that Bungie has honed to a fine edge is starting to show it's wear. But if you are a Halo fan, you owe it to yourself to get this game. It does what all good prequels should do, expand on the universe that already came before and add more depth. Maybe my favorite shooter this year.
I'm not a fanboy. I'm just a guy who likes FPS's and a little multiplayer. Reach quenches my FPS thirst with albeit funky controls (much different than halo 3's controls) but a fun story that is replayable. Multiplayer is fun, but really shines when you have friends over and can yell at the tv together. There will be obnoxious people online, this can not be helped. It isn't bungie's fault so i can't blame them. I can say that if you liked ODST's controls, you can change the default controls to ODST, however you can't change it to Halo 2 or 3, which is dissapointing. The graphics are stunning and the game is fun. It's worth the purchase.
very fun game. exciting fps.
Halo Reach is fantastic. Great campaign and online game play.
Play Asia as good as always. Good delivery, and packed well, perfect condition.
The NTSCJ worked perfectly in Australia where we use PAL.
More weapons, more fluid gameplay reminiscent of Halo combat evolved, fantastic storyline and awesome multiplayer will have you hooked on this game for a long long time!
Great storyline, gameplay and graphics! Improvements have been made in every aspect of the game with every new launch. This is the 6th title of the series and I hope it does not end there. A must-buy for Xbox360 owners.
The quality of this game is amazing. The single player campaign mode is abit short but that problem is solved by the endless hours of multiplayer this game gives you.
The great 1st person game. if you're the Halo fan you should not missed this.
As with Bungie's other games, Reach is a very good shooter, foccused on fast paced action.
While some new features are mostly welcome (e.g. armor abilities), Bungie's fixation with its playlists feels like the multiplayer could've been better. Also, some parts of the control scheme feel dated when compared to the Call Of Duty series or even Resistance (crouching, for example).
Nevertheless, a great game which will be enjoyed by all Halo fans!
Best in the series so far. Phenomenal gameplay, awesome multiplayer as expected. The series never fails to produce. This is one for the collection. You'll be playing it a long time!
One of the best on Halo series
a must buy for any Halo fan
one of the best story line among the series
Gameplay also top notch!
It's a must have game
Bought it during the promotion price. It is worth it, you won't regret!
"Reach" marks the farewell from the franchise that Bungie spent and the company does not disappoint. Everything in the game was designed to close on a high mark of the show this cycle, since the strong storyline and exciting multiplayer mode through the varied and even marked the detailed graphics and a beautiful art direction. More than a sequel, "Reach" is one of the highest points of the series, with classic elements evolved in the extreme.
Fast transactions!“Halo: Reach” tells the tragic and heroic story of Noble Team, a group of Spartans, who through great sacrifice and courage, saved countless lives in the face of impossible odds. The planet Reach is humanity’s last line of defense between the encroaching Covenant and their ultimate goal, the destruction of Earth. If it falls, humanity will be perched on the brink of destruction.
Has all Halo elements, and a superb multiplayer mode.
Every option can be played online.
A game you can play during all eternity!
Halo Reach is the latest installment to the great Halo franchise. Needless to say, they have improved on almost every department (from graphics to gamplay) of the game to make this one of the most enjoyable Halo games to date. Even if you are not a Halo fan, you should do yourself a favour & give it a go. That's how good the game is.
I was waiting for this game long time and here it is. I played it a lot, but I need to play it a lot more to extract all the juice.
Campaign mode is excelent, the "Non Player Characters" IA is the max (sometimes I think that they are more intelligent than me).
If you like the matchmaking mode, you will enjoy this game, really.
I forgot, game feature menus and subtitles (only during cutscenes) in french, and voice in English.
Halo Reach is a really great game. Not exceptionnal, but discovering planet Reach is a bit like the discovery of the first Halo in the original game. So campaign is maybe a bit short, but it is intense and never boring like ODST can be... Lots of gameplay change during level maintain fun during until the end. Multiplayer is also a great feature, as you can play online with splitscreen, a feature that I really love and would hope to have on more games !!
Also, game is region free and work both on my Euro and Japanese 360s.
And If you like coop games, go get it !
Picked this up for about 20 bucks when it was on sale. Amazing price for a new game! Works perfectly with xbox live (in US)
Finally this day has come - last HALO game from Bungie Studios. Reach is an instant classic, bigger and better than previous installments. This game is what Halo 3 should be. Hail to the new king! But beware, you will sink into multiplayer of that one :).
I have played all Halo games so far and can say without any doubt this is the best. The story is great (But enjoyed more if you already have played the previous titles) but as a complete package it really shines. The multi player has more options and combinations than ever before. The AI is much better, the graphics have been redesigned, the matchingmaking now covers the campaign and firefight. For me the biggest and most interesting change has been the armour abilities they add a lot of depth to both the campaign and the multiplayer. Being able to jet pack to a high vantage point or sent a hologram out to lure your opponents into a trap or quickly dashing away just before somebody tries to stick you with a grenade really livens things up. In the campaign the space missions where fantastic and some of the set pieces are simply epic.
Get this game as it is fantastic value with more replay value than just about anything currently available on any console.
game of the year must try!
A must-buy for fans of Halo. It brings together some of the best elements of the previous Halo games. A must-get for your library!! It'll bring on the goosebumps!!
halo 2 and 3 were a big letdown compared to the original halo, but this game brings back the feel of the original. the addition of loadouts brings another element to the game to keep it fresh as well. great game.
To review this game.
It's Halo, if you liked previous installments there's plenty more for you to play.
If you didn't like Halo before, this won't change your mind.
I personally like Halo, but don't love it, so I'm sure that while I'll feel happy having added this to my collection, I won't be finishing it any time soon.
For the final game of the Halo series, Halo Reach definitely delivers. Fast paced halo-style campaign and a multiplayer that will keep you entertained for months. A must buy for any Halo fan!
well worth the money! love playing multiplayer with my mates over a couple of drinks
Halo Reach is the pinnacle in the series so far. Better graphics, better multiplayer, new weapons/gadgets, solid single-player -- and best of all the return of Elites as enemies!
For sure one of the better halo games, and i was surprised great value
This is the farewell halo game from Bungie and it is one of the best, great game !!! very good $$$, thanks PA.
This is an awesome game single player is great fun, a bit short though. Also multiplayer is fantastic just seems too much like previous halo's
A good buy, not as good as number 1, but the it was still a great game, and a fun campaign. Multiplayer will keep you entertained for long enough, i guarantee it
Halo Reach is the definitely the best of the series. It gives you the original Halo feel, while adding in a ton of fun multiplayer options like firefight. There is no longer a social/ranked set up to online play which is good.
Not much of a fan of FPS, but I like what I see so far ... worth every penny
I agree with the other reviews in saying this IS the best of the lot. Campaign is great with the new weapons and multiplayer is as addictive as ever
Halo- don't need to said much, always is one of the best game in Xbox, no one should miss this game out
the game is hands down the best first person shooter. (its halo, what do you expect). anyway, regarding the physical product itself, i do have to say that the extra online content that came with the legendary edition isn't much different from the limited edition one, sure there is an extra flaming helmet but most of it are not worth it. the figure or statue that came with the legendary edition feels a bit cheap, feels easily breakable. aside from this everything else is great. in short, game wise is excellent but product wise (physically), bungie could have done better.
Halo: Reach is easily the biggest title of 2010. I think its also safe to say its the most complete package you'll buy in years. The campaign isnt terribly long, but you'll likely enjoy nearly every minute of it. The campaign has such a large amount of replayability when you consider online co-op with friends or strangers (matchmaking co-op coming in a future update). The mutliplayer is more addictive than ever, you wont have to wonder if there will be players online for years to come since the game has sold millions and has a million or so play online per day. Firefight is back and better than ever. Forge World will eat up the time of someone who likes to build their own levels. There is so much content in Halo Reach, its almost as if you bought two or more games for the price of one. This is also the last Bungie-made Halo. Get in on the action!
The best Halo game of the lot. Polishes the gameplay elements, perfect balance of weaponry/skills for multiplayer, slicker graphics and a well told campaign (not convoluted like the other Halos). AI needs work still and definitely crank up the difficulty to at least Heroic if you want a challenge. Will be sad to see Bungie releasing the reigns.
One of the best games in the franchise. Certainly makes up for the less than average ODST. I can confirm that this version works perfectly on PAL.
an excellent signoff from bungie studios. Campaign is reminiscent to that of the original halo, placing it amongst the best of the series (definitely better than 2 and 3).
The multiplayer has been expanded upon greatly, with firefight and campaign matchmaking and your favourite; slayer.
Great game, recommended to all fps fans.
This is great game with great collector's Edition.
I'm not really a fan of the Halo storyline, but from what i've seen the campaign is a good experience.
where the game shines to me however is the multiplayer experience. if you've played halo 3, the multiplayer modes in halo reach have much improved and expanded on those in halo 3. in most modes you can pick from 1 of 5 abilities (jetpacking, sprinting, armor locking, active camouflage, hologram) and use them to defeat your opponents. the maps are fun as well, and the weapons seem more balanced.
also new is the ability to choose/vote on between 3 different types of matches before beginning a match, or if the group chooses, you can scrap those 3 for another 3 options. this is much improved on the veto system from halo 3, as rather than 2 choices you're given 6 so there's less chance of you getting stuck playing the same map for several games in a row.
someone mentioned it above -- the game seems more fun now with all of these added features. also the new multiplayer badges and challenges provide added incentives for playing and improving one's skill.
great buy, this will be my online multiplayer game of choice for a long time to come much like halo 3 was.
Crank the difficulty up to at least Heroic if you have played Halo before, I finished the campaign on normal in about 5 hours which was disappointingly short. The story was ok, didn't quite feel as epic as Halo 3 but I enjoyed it much better than ODST. The improved graphics, new vehicles and tweaked item system make the campaign worth playing.
I am looking forward to getting into the multiplayer, especially as the game now has jetpacks!
I didn't like the previous Halos. Reach has a more memorable story and the gameplay has some nice variations.
I'm not a big fan of the Halo saga. I just played Halo 3 and I enjoyed the campaign, but the multiplayer didn't catch me. I'm more a COD type guy.
Now with Reach that has changed. The campaign is really solid, very funny, tons of different situations, great music score as expected, and good rithm and story. And the multiplayer is pure godness. Impresive, is almost a sport. I guess FUN is the key word. You can never have enough. So many different types of games, so balanced matches... And then you go and see the vid of your game, your stats... I don't know, it's really haunting, you have to try it.
Recommended for everyone.
The limited edition is definitely worth the extra cash, if for nothing else then the journal you get with it, which is in magnificent detail. As for the game, all i can say is that Bungie simply impresses with this latest edition to the Halo franchise, the best single player campaign ever and the most fun i've had on multiplayer since Halo 3.
Very well polished game, and the inclusion of space battles was fantastic. However the single player campaign was too short, and it would have been good to see more arenas of the battle for Reach.
NO JOHN YOU ARE THE COVENANT
and then john was the aliens
also this is a fun game that is entertaining
With Halo Reach, Bungie managed to combine the best aspects of ODST (more engaging story-line, better characters) with the best aspects of Halo. Every gameplay idea seems to be well thought out and expertly executed (from the return of the Halo: CE pistol, to the armor abilities).
The campaign is fantastic, with some truly awe-inspiring set pieces. It manages to engage you both emotionally and viscerally, with some of the best combat the series has seen.
The multiplayer has seen a bit of a revamp as well, and the inclusion of armor abilities only adds to the wealth of strategic options you have when engaging fellow players.
A must for anybody who enjoyed the previous games.
The story is immersive and fast paced. There is never a dull moment. Excellent game play and lots of multiplayer options. A great purchase!!
This would sum up my teenage son's view of the game. With only the very occasional glitch, this game nears perfection for its genre. Bungie certainly have capped off their work on the Halo franchise nicely. Everything you'd expect from the next iteration of arguably the most well-known gaming title.
Bungie followed up Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST with the perfect ending to the series; Reach. A great prequel to the entire Halo storyline that fills in a lot of the Halo background that was previously only left to be covered in the books.
I was pleasantly surprised with the new combat system, from the change in weapons available to the new recoil and accuracy system used. The games soundtrack was absolutely amazing as well. Just letting the game sit on the main screen and listening to the music blew my mind. O'Donnel certainly got it right when immersing the player with the new soundtrack.
The multiplayer is the same that is to be expected with all the past Halo games. Simple and quick matchmaking gets you in and out of games fast, and let's you buddy up with friends easier than ever before.
The story to the game was solid, providing details to answer real Halo nerd questions in some points, but leaving other aspects out as to allow the player's imagination to fill in the blanks the way they want to. Overall 5/5 and a great game.
online for this game!? excellent!!!! lots of fun and matchmaking is quick and easy. Singleplayer?! ....
I have been a halo fan since the first one! this halo was probably not one of the more epic space operas but it was great in terms of the story and events on how it led up to the original Halo CE. And this was also my first purchase from Play Asia and i will definitely be buying games from here again!
Halo:Reach is the definition of a Halo Game. Everything from the Halo games of the past has been upgraded and updated to near perfection, and nothing has been left out. The campaign is epic, and touches on many different areas of game-play altogether, from FPS to space-shooter, to cart driving, to giant gun target practice. The story is better written than the Halo's of the past, and patches up a few holes in the universe's story. The multilplayer suite is robust, and welcomes back the matchmaking system from Halo 3, which guarantees games are found as quickly and as efficiently as possible. All in all, a wonderful addition to anyone's Xbox360 library.
i've been an adamant halo fan since the first. if you like the mythology behind the series and whack-awesome gamepley, buy it. beat it. beat it again. then rock the multiplayer.
You're not going to find a better online shooter out there. The game wasn't even out a month and bungie already responded to complaints and updated their playlists. This has unlimited replayability.
The game itself, while short, is pretty awesome. Many memorable movie-like elements make you go WOW while still keeping you in control.
I recommend this more than the original because the journal is absolutely fantastic. I haven't seen such a nice extra in a long time. Please get it!
Special note, I'm on a JPN 360 and the US version works fine!
I have yet to take advantage of the multi-player, but I plan to within the next couple of weeks. From playing only the single player all I can say is that it is still "halo." The story is adequate and does a good job at getting you interested in the characters, but nothing that will make you want to play it over again. On heroic difficulty the game moves along at a decent pace, but while playing on legendary the difficulty spikes in several places. This wouldn't be such of a problem if it didn't happen as often as it does. I would still recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series, or of first person shooters in general. I just wish that I could talk about the multi-player, because that's gotta be where its at.
First of all. . . I was never a hardcore HALO fan. I've played HALO 1-2 on pc, then 3, ODST and Halo wars on 360. I bought this U.S limited edition because of the Journal and U.S version doesn't have chinese wording on the cover so it's much more nicer. Being an artist/designer myself; I am meticulous on design/concept/exclusivity. And boy i can say 'YOU' are in for a treat... The journal is neat! It made the Halo universe seems alive with the military style approach and hand drawn content on each and every single page of the journal. Everything single aspect of the journal is just perfect.. beyond words, (just like the title). If YOU're a collector, then it is a must-own. Good Job Bungie/Microsoft on this final installment to the HALO series..
Not quite great. I reserve that for the best of the best. But I truly love how many different modes of play come on this one disc. Not much to level for (just some cosmetic armor) but it is a very fun and seemingly balanced game. That is all I ask for.
An excellent game and the extra stuff you receive is worth it. Not only is the Story excellent the Multi-player is awesome.
This game is amazing. Thousands of hours of work and testing comes to fruition in this tiny little piece of software. Love the multiplayer.
Thanks to play asia also for the speedy shipping; had me up and gaming in no time at all!
It is again an amazing game for xbox360 users to enjoy.. and the best part is that i got my item after a single day after order... Play Asia is amazing...
The limited edition had much more than i ever expected. Amazing game. A game that would top the halo series. All xbox 360 users must buy this game.. MUST!
u better off buying the limited edition if u dont want the 'toys' and the legendary edition DLC
best halo game ever
Halo Reach is a good enough game, but one that really doesn't offer anything altogether different from the other titles in the Halo series.
The campaign weaves an interesting story, but is very short (I finished it in around 6-7 hours without rushing along) and lacks the epic feel that the original Halo captured when it was first released. There are moments in Halo Reach that come close (such as the space battle), but overall I felt a little disappointed.
The graphics and sound are impressive as you'd expect, but the familiarity of the Halo setting makes it feel like only slight improvements were made from Halo 3 and ODST.
The multiplayer section of this game is where most people will get enjoyment from this game. However, it can sometimes be frustrating waiting for a room to fill - especially when the game is continually searching for one more player!
The online modes are interesting enough, but there is no difference from the previous Halo games - just a lot of armoured people jumping up and down whilst shooting.
If you have played the previous Halo games then you may as well pick this up so as to complete the storyline (that's why I decided to get the game). However, if you are new to the series I would probably forget this and play the original Halo instead.
Bungie have saved the best for last with Halo Reach, the final chapter in the franchise and a prologue anticipated since the first game was released a decade ago. Fans of the series are guaranteed to enjoy the blockbuster single player campaign and one of the most exciting multiplayer modes available today. A must-buy for any Xbox owner.
A tough but short campaign mode does little to detract from Bungie's final Halo outing. The nuanced multiplayer experience will keep most gamers busy for a long time to come.
Best game a person could ever want.
It's a great game to play. It's amazing to play in a very detailed world with this beautiful graphics and enhanced physics. It has a great story that makes you want to play more and more on campaign mode with of course online co-op and matchmaking support. I recommend to every one likes playing games to play Reach.
Great game! A must!
I know, everybody says this is a 5 on 5, 10 on 10, 100 on 100 game. I don't think so. Of course it's a great game, and probably Halo at it's best. Simply the best Halo is not the best game. Especially the campaign, it's short, dated and it's nothing more or different from the dozens of FPS around. The online is a long way better, but c'mon it's still the same stuff: matchmaking and so on. So a must buy if you like this stuff, but don't expect much more than your average Halo.
Fantastic collectors edition. The box is so amazing. And all papers are in english. Buy it for sure.
What can I say, another excellent Halo game. Improved graphics and sandbox. Single player better than previous Halo with better story and more detailed graphics. The best part of Halo is of course the multiplayer mode. Many hours of fun with user created maps.
Halo Reach is a fantastic package, with several core components that on their own can outclass many other games. The campaign is excellent, backed by solid storytelling and a powerful audio-visual experience. The competitive multiplayer is familiar, yet brand new with a lot more options and a faster pacing. Newcomers and Halo fans alike will find plenty to love in Halo Reach.
Best game Halo game yet. Bungie went out with a bang! Great single player and multiplayer! A must buy for 360 owners!
Single player is the best so far. Co-op mode also been fine tune. Multiplayer is more fun compare to Halo 3.
A very good game not to be missed.
Simply put, it's a great game. The campaign mode is just challenging enough and the story is skillfully told. Knowing how the game must ultimately end (if you're familiar with the Halo series) provides for some moments of genuine pathos.
And the multiplayer... you're gonna have stuff for years to play through. The amount of match types and tweaking you can do with keep you happy for a long time.
It's a must buy.
If you are into first person shooters then this one is good enough to buy the xbox 360 console just for it.
Buy it now!!!
Best Halo game without a doubt! Wonder if they can re-master the original Halo game to this level with up-to-date graphics! Must Buy!
A compelling storyline, solid graphics, an unparalleled soundtrack, great variety and perfected gameplay makes Halo: Reach a must own for fans of sci-fi, fps, or the halo franchise.
Diverse gameplay includes the best campaign of the halo franchise, which can be played solo or with up to 4 player co-op with scaling difficulty ensuring it is also the most challenging Halo game in the series.
In addition to solo and co-op campaign play, Reach also boasts a fantastic competitive online multiplayer experience and a much improved, engrossing firefight mode.
Bungie went all out with their xbox 360 Halo swan song and this game simply must be a part of all xbox 360 libraries.
Halo:Reach is an awesome game and works in any region console you play it. Much better to save a few bucks here and get a bilingual-copy that has Chinese & English as the language options... it has no difference to copies from English-speaking countries. The only downside is that you won't be able to trade it in at EB Games (because it's foreign), but I doubt you'd be trading this game anyway. Bottom line: this is the same game as the US-Version.
Very good game.
Halo: Reach has really taken Halo to another level. The campaign mode is fantastic and the strong emphasis on multiplayer will never leave a player wanting. I highly recommend anyone who has liked even a single Halo game before pick this up.
May be the best Halo game ever. Campaign has excellent story line and gameplay. Graphics is just amazing. Never seen such details in object, characters etc... and the maps, backgrounds, vehicles are just really amazing. A few dropped frames here and there in some fierce battles. If you are a XBOX 360 owner and you haven't played "Reach" then you ain't seen nothing...
As what the others had said, this is another awesome game from the Halo franchise. Multiplayer is great+fun to play and the single campaign have alot of fantastic view and weapons to try on. Thanks to play-asia, got this game on time during its releases.
this is worth it, Halo is better then ever
I wasn't expecting too much from Reach, given that I was initially a little disappointed with Halo 3. Thankfully I have been surprised at how good Reach is!
The atmosphere is second to none with a great introduction to the Covenant invasion and a graphical fidelity much better than that of Halo 3.
The weapons are perfectly balanced and are all a joy to use - the best aspects of previous games have been thrown into a mixing pot with a few new guns added for good measure.
Online is everything you can expect from Bungie these days and as a noob to Xbox Live I can finally see what all the fuss is about. The game has various challenges that change every week/day and a compulsive upgrade system which I can't get enough of.
All in all, if you have ever enjoyed any of the Halo games, you need this title. I can't see it swaying naysayers, but I enjoyed it thoroughly and would happy even if the campaign was all I was ever going to play.
One final mention (without potential spoilers) goes to how Bungie chose to close the game. It is done precisely how I wished they would do it, right down to the last desperate fight!
I cannot praise this game highly enough. It is expertly crafted with tremendous depth and replayability. If you enjoy shooters at all, this game is for you. Thank you Bungie for all of your hard work.
Obviously if you've played other Halo you'll need to get this one. Bungie puts a lot of effort into their work and this one is their best game yet. Amazing game play, smooth, creative campaign plot line, (some people complained that it's too short, but I think perhaps they play it on too easy a level.) You can set difficulty not only to Heroic or Legendary, if you think you'll finish in less than a week go ahead and throw some skulls on to make it more challenging. I've been playing campaign with 7 skulls on myself and it is TOUGH. Super fun.
Firefight, great new settings like rockets or grunts only. Huge maps. Forge has unlimited potential once again for the creative peeps. Online is challenging and the achievement system makes you want to keep going back for more.
Halo Reach is the best Halo game I've ever played, they fixed all the issues that dragged Fireflight for multiplayer. Buying this Legendary edition nets you loads of freebies like the flaming head (good or bad depending on your multiplayer experience), as well as the famous McFarlane Toys' statue of the Noble Team. Do not be fooled, it's not as heavy as 10 pounds as initially mentioned. If you have the dough, fork it over and buy this.
Halo Reach, as expected is a great game. The graphics and expansive landscapes are fantastic, the game play is great and exactly what you would expect from the Halo series. I only had a few issues with it. In some of the cut scenes I noticed low frame rates which I expect is from pushing the 360 to it's limit because the visuals are outstanding. Also, a similar complaint from Halo3:ODST is the single player campaign is relatively short, completable within about 6 hours on normal. That aside, there's still plenty to do and firefight provides almost endless entertainment from hordes of enemies. Overall still a great game.
Just as good as the other halo games. The single player campaign was great, will spend plenty of time trying to beat it on legendary setting. A must buy for any FPS fan.
Personally I doubt I will ever play any other Halo game should I have the option of playing Reach, I played on the May Beta and I can honestly say that there are plenty of good improvements which make this game fantastic.
HALO Reach: Good game, the environments are varied enough, and the game play no different to previous Halo games except for the ammunition, I feel you run out of ammo quicker in this game than the others. The AI has improved, better interaction with the enemy and with your own people plus the cut scenes are one of the best I have seen.
The scope of the battles are fantastic, you could just stand and watch the battles unfold with aircract flying overhead, bombs going off, grunts everywhere firing at you - the game immerses you into the Reach world. Would I recommend the game? yes. Is it as good as Halo 3? I would say its equal to but no better than.
A good game to end the series.
This is a must-buy for all Halo players, it has a truly awesome campaign and multiplayer is very popular right now so buy while the game is at its peak.
This is the best Halo game ever made, with the best campaign, graphics, modes. Own halo reach if you own a xbox 360, you will regret it if you don't buy it.
Simply the best halo ever
If you are a fan of the previous halo games you will not be disappointed!
To be honest I disliked the first halo game, never got it. Eventually I bought halo 3 and that was a really good competatvie multiplayer game. If you ever liked halo 3 or any other FPS game, you should check out halo reach. Everything that was good with halo 3 has been refined and tuned to the outmost detail.
To the guys posting above:
1. The content of the limited editions wether US, Asia or EU is the exact same. The diary is in English and so is all the other stuff. The only difference is the disk and the disc cover which look cheap and are bilingual with chinese on it
2. Preorder bonus content is a crappy recon helmet. The legendary edition comes with a flaming effect, armor and a avatar item . Limited only gets armor.
I have the Legendary and am selling my codes on Ebay as the flaming head stands out in MP games. Easy to spot and kill :)
Hope this helps.
The best Halo game. Period.
Own this, NOW!
However,i do not recommend Asia Version if you are getting a limited edition. The quality of the bonus materials are not as good as they are in the US version. The magnetic on the journal does not work at all. Another thing is that i preordered the limited edition and i did not received the preorder bonus content which should be a recon helmet upgrade.
great job on game play and in multiplayer modes, though don't expect cut scene's like halo wars
You've created the ultimate HALO experience. This game, like any other is not without a few small and superficial flaws but overall the experience is solid and amazing.
The depth in the Firefight and Multiplayer customization alone is worth the price.
