Developed by From Software of Demons Soul and Dark Souls fame, Unicorn Gundam (better known as UC Gundam) brings the mecha space opera to the PlayStation3 front lines. It's currently known that almost every mobile suit that appeared in the first 3 episodes will be in the game.
The story mode follows the plot points in the Vanage arc, the Frontal arc and the Marida arc. There are far more scenarios that has never appeared in the anime, get involved in a dream battle, clash laser blades together with the Gundam of your choosing. The system is based on the A.C.E system, the controls are simple, the mecha reacts fast and the graphics are realistic. Watch your opponents explode or melt away when you defeat them.

Its totally worth it
All that's missing is the actual cockpit. UC is about the greatest gundam game I've played so far. With the DLC and dynamic story, you'll be playing this game for the next year or so until they put a new one out. Straight 5/5. I just wish the American distributors felt the same...

From software do it again
The story mode only covers the first 3 episodes but custom cast and dlc add plenty of replay values. Its a shame that this game didn't get the same level of polish that dark souls and demons souls got

Disappointed, but still enjoyed it.
The game feels similar to ACE:R.(same developers I believe too) and thats not neccisarily bad but it also feels incomplete. It's pretty to look at and is overly simplistic in its combat which doesn't seem to ever evolve.
I reccomend only to the Gundam faithful as myself, but for anyone against the fence read or watch further into the game via gameplay videos as you may be left sour

It's nice but...
This is quite the game. How faithful it depicts the first three movies is really impressive. I mean I let someone who knew nothing of UC Gundam try this game, then we watched the movie about a hour later. He recognized it detail to detail as scenes exactly from the game.
The down side of this is while it the game really makes you feel like your poilting a mobile suit with tons of weapons and options, the controls are difficult to get used to, I still find myself struggling to remember how to fly properly and fight at the same time. Also, this is a Japanese heavy game. You need a grasp on the language if you want to enjoy it as a story.
Graphics and scene recreation wise though this is an amazing game and I suggest buying it if your a fan of UC Gundam. If not, you might want to hold off your money and by something a little more simple like Gundam vs Extra

Good game.
Unfortunately short story mode, but highly polished gameplay.
