Hunting season starts 1st of December. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd will free the Electric Wolf Jinogre and many more massive, and blood thirsty monsters on you. Venture to the riversides, the waterfalls and the humid caves to hunt, and collect ingredients for that ultimate set of armor and weapon.
The village, and guild are located in a rustic Japanese-mountain-village-styled location. There you can enjoy the services of the shop keepers, recruit hunting partners and soak in the hot springs.
Your assistant cats Airu gets upgraded armors and weapons as well, you can unlock some of them in this game, but there are many more in Poka Poka Airu Village. So if you are incredibly successful in cultivating your cat village, be sure to load the game's save file into MH 3 for the exclusive tools.

Another great game from Capcom
The graphic is better than that of 2G and the game is also much more balanced. i spent about 200 hours on the game and i have no problem spending 200 more.

easy learning curve
bought this as a gift for my 14 yr. old nephew, despite not knowing a single bit of japanese he had no problem beating this game in a week.
he also used translated websites for when he did get stuck, so not a hard game to play even if you don't understand the language.

For hardcore gamers
The MH series is for the hardcore gamers with a steep learning curve. If you are only a causal gamer not very good at action game, this can take you a lot of time to get used to.

Hunting where a language barrier can be a greater threat.
It felt good to help the people of Japan by purchasing a game that has literally sold millions in there with the Earthquake relief a few weeks back.
And the Asian version includes an additional instruction booklet with the Japanese game in case you were curious about the differences between the two versions.
MH Portable 3rd is a rather nice Monster Hunter game. It is the most up-to-date game for us but the language barrier is an obvious issue. So what's in there?
You've got most of the stuff (you probably liked) from 3 and something from Freedom Unite, at least in terms of monsters (Tigrex and Deviljho), weapons (Gunlance and Switch Axe) and village features (F.U Farm).
There are no underwater battles here however so it is sad to see monsters like Royal Ludroth limp away with no deep water near where they used to hang out. They gave a nice twist to the gameplay but I guess there are new monsters to compensate that.
But there is a neat amount of content here and should keep you busy for a good while. Felyne comrades and their own equipment, downloadable quests and an increased amount of "regular" quests to name a few.
Only about 22 hours behind with this game as of this writing, so I cannot tell too much about the game yet. I do see a very nice Monster Hunter game that could be seen more like a Freedom Unite 2.0 instead of Tri's PSP port.
It's got the huge beef you've come to expect from the recent games in the franchise and if you can read Japanese even at small extent it will help you a lot along the way. If the language barrier is too much, try play the game with a friend. Two heads are always better than one, right? At least in Monster Hunter, that's for sure.

Awesome
I'm a MH fan and this game is just a great improvement . The graphics and the sound are much more sharper and even though it's japanese and I don't understand but I just can't wait anymore because this game is just irresistable . I can't stop playing this game the moment it reached my hands . Although there's alittle less content compared to MHFU but it's still a fun game to play :) . A must for all the MH fans out there . You'll know why I said this game is awesome

Fan or no fan, it's still addictive.
Improved gameplay system, various attractive monsters and unique weapons, you can find it all in here. Of course the most interesting part is to hunt with friends, but even playing it yourself can also enjoy the game since Capcom has put quite a hard work on the solo part.

good game!
I don't know japanese but I get tired of waiting so I got it from here. at first I thought I might waste my money since I can't understand anything in the game but this game is all about gameplay which language barrier didn't bother me much. right now I'm over 150 hours into the game and has made many awesome equipment already. If you don't understand Japanese but don't want to wait for US release. You should feel free to buy this one! The game has improved a lot from where the previous installment was. The difficulty is no longer ridiculous but is playable or actually... enjoyable! even by playing offline, having two felynes helping you on the quests will make you feel like you are not alone!

A must for psp owners
I think there it never had a title that's so addictive and enjoyable as monster hunter.
And now 3rd it's a whole new challenge just waiting to be explored by old and new hunters, bringing the same gameplay style but now with lots of upgrades turning it in a brand new game.
I recommend to anyone, even for those who aren't used to this kind genre.

This game was awesome! well, im the fan of MH, since i get its limited psp. Anyway, thanks to play asia, i get this game without any prob and Support play asia for future gaming~!

Fresh upgrades with old fun
Monster Hunter Portabl 3rd is what it is, its an advancement in the series. It keeps most of the key elements in place. It's added several 'new' additions to gameplay such as a 'fina' move for some weapons and even added some new weapon classifications.
You will see a return of some old monsters as well as new monster and never before seen until this game monsters. All in all, if you love MH games you obviously wont have any problems playin this as it has everything and more to enjoy!

Outstanding!
This game has kept me entertained more than ANY other psp game out there! I speak for all of us (I hope) that we are disapointed that there is no infrastructure (online) mode BESIDES ps3 and xlink.
Other than the online issue, the game is flawless. Tons of gameplay, endless replay value, and customizing felynes is better than ever.

Amazing, unbeatable. The best!!!
What about... the title says a lot about this game to my liking.
The review of some weapons has been very pleasing, especially the double blades and the heavy crossbow.
The growth of the difficulty has been improved a lot although it maybe a little too easy at the beginning, the game will not fail to offer those challenges that the older players in the saga are looking for.
Highly recommended to anyone who likes the genre, like say it is difficult to give a true and own kind in this game, but if you like the farming of Objects for monsters to collect weapons and armor to fight monsters each time louder and louder, So is the game for you!!!!!

Great game!!!
They removed the annoying underwater battles from 3tri, added 2 new monsters.
Playable without knowledge of Japanese if you are familiar with the franchise.
All key Quests are now hunting quests.
Your hunting cats now have a great AI when compare to the previous PSP title.
I am expecting that Capcom will sell the sequel in 4th quater 2011.

this game does wont let you down
very simple theme- destroy all before you and create better stuff to cleave your way further. The only downside to this game is that it is shorter than previous monster hunters and i believe they tried to make it easier for the gamer... WHY? but otherwise they have enhanced the visuals and set you in a new area, as a bonus when you beat the main monster they salute previous releases. It was a very nice game overall and hunting season is in session

Nice limited edition
Nice edition of MHP3rd, but bag is much smaller than expected. :( Was hoping it was big enough to use as my main bag, but sadly it holds enough for the PSP, 2 12 oz. cans and thats bout it. The earbuds though...they look great and sound good as well. They replaced my Zune Premium headphones. This is a good buy for any big monster hunter fans :)

Best Game Ever, but...
this is probably the only game that stays in my PSP, and i really spend hours and hours playing this game, tho was quite disappointed by the low quality built of the bag, it looks kinda cheap no offense, the cellphone strap tho is quite pleasing, quite sturdy and although I don't use it, i think it will last for a long time, the earphones sound quality is good, but the wires entangles a lot and quite cheap looking, overall, I think the items are cheaply made and not quite satisfying as I expected it to be from Capcom.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
A direct??? port from Nintendo Wii's Monster Hunter Tri w/ some additional elements which is not available in Wii version, but lack of some features from Wii version at the same time,a definitely must buy game for MH fan.

Awesome!
This was my first Play Asia order and my first Japanese game bought and I have to say. It didn't disappoint. You almost don't even need any japanese knowledge to play! I think I will be coming back to Play Asia very soon.

Awesome!
Monster Hunter games on the PSP have been getting better & better with each new release. MHP3rd is no exception! The graphics are better than ever before and everything you love about the series is here!
In addition, the Asian versions are superior to its North American and European counterparts for the simple fact of the blood limitation present on screen that was imposed on those versions.
If you didn't buy this game yet, you're missing out!

This is what I buy my PSP for
This game alone is enough to justify anyone's PSP purchase. Capcom did it again by improving the winning formula the past MH games were known for. Must buy for any action game fans.

A must buy!
If you're a MH fan, or even if you're new to the series, you must get this game.
I've already spent over 80 hours playing this, and I've still got a fair way to go. Far more gameplay per dollar than any other game that has come out this year.

A must!
This game is absolutely a must for every mh fan out there! Now, give it a try and don't forget to use xlink/adhoc too ;) It's a lot more fun when you're playing with others.

Better than Japanese version
It has chinese manual outside, but inside, there's Japanese manual too. Along with them, there is a pretty sticker type cleaner as well. Without chinese manual, it is just same as Japanese version title.

Great buy!
Limited edition in the red pocket turns out to be a keychain which wasn't appeared in the picture, Bag is pure black with the same design not the Dark Blue with Shining glyphs, a little bit disappointed. Game is excellent though! A must buy if you enjoy even a little big of monster hunting!
