Great!
i've been waiting forever for the orchestra of this soundtrack. I always thought that why FF soundtracks were made orchestral while Xenogears and Chrono Cross are not. And finally my dream came true with the release of this album. It would be more great if an orchestral album of Chrono Cross is also made though.

Great Remix of the Classics
The original Xenogears soundtrack still has a lot of special character and charm even after all these years of new games coming out. This arrangement has nicely captured the spirit of the original and carried it forward in a great orchestral setting. Definitely a must for fans of Xenogears but also great listening for newcomers.

I've always enjoyed listening to the orchestral versions of Nobuo Uematsu's Final Fantasy music and Yoko Shimomura's Drammatica. I've never actually played any RPG before but I believe you can give your own interpretation of the music without the context of the game.
I bought 'Myth' since it mentioned the 'O' word (ie orchestral) and thought that it might resemble the aforementioned composers' orchestral CDs. However, Yasunori Mitsuda's music is quite restrained and gentle pieces feature prominently. There are no epic pieces to stir the emotions i.e. music that encapsulates the drama of a battle. It's the type of music you can listen to while studying and your mind will not wander off to fantastical worlds or in my case waving an imaginary baton over an imaginary orchestra.
