Although Most Wanted (2012) was the latest game but this game is much more satisfying. At last this game hits the right feel and gameplay. Loves the open road and the police car chase. This game includes the Pass Code for two bonus car.

Cool game

I wouldn't say the best since the omission of manual transmission. It also feel like it is designed to be used with the joypad. However, great collection of vehicles and tracks seems hard to master. Or maybe I'm just getting old. Add this NFS to your collection!

this game is NOT incredible, but it is really fun

the environments of this game are incredible! the landscapes are visually stunning, and add a extra layer of beauty to the game. Controls are good, physics and mechanics are good, the adrenaline at play is fantastic!

Very interesting but too short single player.
Stupid balance system in multiplayer, if you just started play in it, you will always play with players which have 35-70 level. Also multiplayer not so realistic as Battlefield: Bad Company.

Need for speed hot pursuit is challenging without being too difficult. The autolog feature also totally changes the way multiplayer racing game is. There are several cars to choose from the the limited edition comes with additional cars!!!! The police chases and bounty mode is also very fun! A must buy for racing fans

No Logitech G25 wheel support
Awesome game but no Logitech G25 wheel support. It is supposed to be supported in the latest update but there was no update for this Asian edition.

If you are a fan of Need for Speed, the Burnout series, or just want some fast arcade style racing action then definitely get this one. The graphics are awesome and the controls are pretty close to perfect. Can't go wrong.

Im not a big fan of racing game but I have always liked playing NFS as casual gamer. Last one i tried was NFS shift which was not for me :S but this one is just great! a must have, easy to start and with a lot of challanges!

Very challenging and a great driving game
Finally what a NFS game should be, this game is highly re-playable and challenging. I enjoyed playing it and would recommend it to racing genre fans.

Need for speed is a lot of fun there is not mistake in that however, the police campaign is great. However, once you switch over to the racer campaign it is lacking. Things seem slower and not as exciting.
One major flaw that I had with the game was when it switches over to a accident in cinematic fashion, when you return to the race many times you will be heading directly for the guardrail, oncoming traffic or other obstruction causing you to crash or damage your vehicle.
While this is a minor inconvience it does get old quickly. Still a nice return to the original concept behind the game.

If you liked Burnout 3 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit II chances are you'll enjoy this. EA seems to have taken a slightly different approach to their street racing side of the NFS series, completely removing the ability to customize and upgrade your cars and going back to the simple style of "finish and race get points" you unlock cars by getting more total points.
The sand box world is now nothing but Highways and is also completely optional as you play all events from the main menu.
EA has also introduced a new social feature that feels alot like Facebook, you can post to your wall, add screen-shots to it etc.
Not the best racing game out there but still the game is fairly fun, takes you back to the good old days of NFS.

The new NFS HP is a great fun. Graphics is beautiful, background music very well selected and just stunning crushes. Generally the game is really well done. Highly addictive.
Had a little struggle with access to online mode since EA pass codes are region blocked. Wrote to EA support and they sold me a trick how to solve it. Nice service.

If you loved Burnout then you need this game, simple as that. It's the best arcade racer since the old PS2 days and everything Burnout Paradise should have been.

what is the point of making ps3 games region free when the dlc and the online access code is region locked? not only for this game but also for the other games that are on ps3(exclusive+multiplatform). that is why i sold my copy and bought the 360 version.

This game was made by the developers of Burnout, another racing game that I absolutely love. You can expect the same intense speed and awesome crashes in this game too! very enjoyable! The only downside is the graphics are a little bit ugly.

Back to Basics
Need for Speed has returned with what made it great in the first place. Easy and quick leveling up. Controls are intuitive. Can't complain other than the fact that the levels are a bit too quick.
I have had the game for about 3 days and it is addictive. Not sure how much more there is for the police career path but I am enjoying nearly every level they throw at me.

Hot Pursuit
After years of trying to reclaim its title as one of the best racers out there, the Need for Speed series has finally done so. Burnout developers Criterion Games have take the series back to its roots and have created a very fun and great looking racer.
Let's get straight to the point, this game is about driving. If you're looking for an intense, cinematic filled storyline, in depth customization or grid girls you'd best look elsewhere. NFS: Hot Pursuit carries none of those, but what it does carry are fast cars, and plenty of roads to drive them the way they were meant to be driven. Fast.
As far as the Career mode goes, it's actually quite similar to Burnout Paradise. The aim is simple; complete events as either a cop or a racer to build up your reputation (called Bounty) as a badged enforcer of justice, or the most notorious street racer in Sea crest County. As for the driving, Criterion have scrapped the narrow inter-city mazes and racetracks from previous NFS games and gone back to the original formula, miles of open road to drive your cars the fun way, damn fast. You won't have to wait long to feel the sensation of speed. If there's one thing this game knows how to do, it's to deliver an unmatched sensation of speed that will give you goose bumps. The AI of the other racers and cops are quite good too. Cops will ram you and other racers will try shepherd you into a roadblock or block you from passing them. It makes the racing that much more interesting because it's not like say Gran Turismo where the AI has their planned route of driving and you simply need to work beat them from last position. Each event in Hot Pursuit can have many different outcomes. Quite often the game offers Preview Events, which are essentially an opportunity to go spastic in a multi-million dollar car. The first of these events offers you a chance to get your hands on the Zonda Roadster. You select your car, your colour, and the race starts. It's very simple, and it's great because that's what the game is about.
So you start driving, your eyes are taking in the exuberant desert landscape while simultaneously noticing your speedometer is already over 200kph. You go around a turn and go up a slight incline in the road (mind you, all this is happening very, very quickly) and as you reach the top, you get a view of a fantastic straight stretch of road. Then the anticipation hits you, you're on the edge of your seat thinking that now is your chance, your chance to unleash the full potential of the engine, but by the time this thought has processed, you're already on that road, your speed maxed at over 360kph...and then you crash. This is just one of the moments that will make you glad you bought this game.
There's a wide selection of cars available (albeit not as wide as Gran Turismo 5) and everyone should be able to find at least a handful of cars they love. The cars do handle quite differently to each other and car choice is often part of winning the race too, as a race through the desert might involve shortcuts that take you off-road, and a Lamborghini probably wouldn't be the best choice.
The game's newest addition though is in the form of Autolog, a sort of facebook for Need for Speed. It'll constantly keep track of your stats and how well you've done in each race and compare it to anyone on your friends list. It's really well done and hopefully we see this feature in more games. Autolog will recommend races for you based on how recently someone else completed it or if they beat your high score. You'll get a notification and you can go straight to that race to reclaim your throne. The best part is, after you beat someone else on a race, you can add a trash-talk comment to the notification that person will get. It's a great way to keep the game competitive and interesting.
The online mode is packed with features too. You can have a standard race of course, but you can also take the role of a cop while your friends can join you in the fight against crime or do their best to avoid you as a racer. You also have equipment such as spike strips and EMPs at your disposal to keep it interesting. Any races you partake in online will also help build your Bounty.
The presentation of the menus are simple, the cars look fantastic (even the traffic looks decent) and the environments are spectacular. There's even a photo mode you can use at any time by pressing start (even in the middle of a crash) and take high definition pictures of your dream car in a dream situation.
The environments are probably the best in a racing game. Period. Sea crest County has a wide variety of landscapes including a sun-drenched coast, luscious forest, barren desert and even snowy peaks in the mountains. There are also a range of effects that can be applied such as night racing and rain effects, which will affect your car's handling accordingly and look great. Water will puddle up along the roads and the reflections look stunning, especially at night time. Snow and sand will also blow across the roads in their respective locations. Unfortunately there's no cockpit view which probably would have felt a bit more immersive, but the cars look nicer from outside anyway.
Graphics 9 / 10 - Probably one of the best looking racing games currently available as a whole.
Sound 9 / 10 - It seems like Criterion went all out on this one. The cars sound amazing, with the hyper cars having the high-pitched whine everybody loves and the muscle cars having the powerful grumble that they should. The game's soundtrack isn't bad either but it might not be for everyone, thankfully the option for custom soundtracks is available.
Value 9 /10 - Some people might think that this game isn't complete without a storyline but I think differently. The game is about racing, and clearly there's plenty of that to find here and more than enough races and events to keep you entertained. Coupled with the great online features, this game is definitely a must for anyone the loves to drive fast cars, fast.

After years of trying to reclaim its title as one of the best racers out there, the Need for Speed series has finally done so. Burnout developers Criterion Games have take the series back to its roots and have created a very fun and great looking racer.
Let's get straight to the point, this game is about driving. If you're looking for an intense, cinematic filled storyline, in depth customization or grid girls you'd best look elsewhere. NFS: Hot Pursuit carries none of those, but what it does carry are fast cars, and plenty of roads to drive them the way they were meant to be driven. Fast.

Pretty to look at, challenging to race, fun to wreck other racers and cops :P the lack of things to do in the career mode is a bit depressing, and the fact that split screen multiplay was skipped altogether is a huge downer. but still a fun game

This is probably the first thing that came in everyone's mind. At least everyone who is looking for a driving game. Well the answer isn't that trivial. GT5 is a masterpiece, but the new NFS is great as well. Of course it's a different kind of game, but it's fun, challenging and totally entertaining. When I see the two games on my shelf, 9 times on 10 I pick up this one and play it.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is another great follow up to the NFS series. The graphics engine of the game have improved yet again & the gorgeous sceneries are a beauty to watch especially the weather effects are a breath to behold. The cops mode & hot pursuit mode are the most fun parts of the game. Controls are perfect & an excellent game overall.
