Mario and Luigi are back, and this time, their task is to collect a million coins. Super Mario Brothers 2 is a continuation of the DS game released in 2006. Familiar characters and props, such as the Super Leaf are back. Transform the pipe cleaner into a raccoon and all sorts of creatures to make your coin collection as exciting as possible. Make the Golden Flower bloom, put on the ring to turn your enemies into coins, and put on the block mask to generate coins when the pipe cleaners run.
There are more mini-games. Collect as much coins as you can in just one life span in the coin rush mode. And when you are dealing extra challenging stages, ask your brother to come help you out as Luigi.

Enjoyable!
Very similar to the original DS version but with better graphics and updates in general and the new mode that makes this game some how original.
Is good for both amateours and veterans.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is neither a step back nor a step forward for the series. It's literally almost the same game as New Super Mario Bros. on DS & Wii. Nintendo has added a minor change which is collecting as many coins as possible but this becomes rather a fool's errand that's not fun nor satisfying.
If you really have nothing to play and want to kill time because you have nothing better to do, get this game. But this is the worst game of the series and a near-exact clone of previous games.

As Mario It Can Be
It is pretty much Mario as much as I could remember, this time with greater focus on collecting more coins for better rewards. While I haven't used it much, there is competitive StreetPass multiplayer option as well.

Decent Mario game
The game is pretty much an expansion of the Wii title aside from the additional power-ups and challenges.
It could have been a very good game if Nintendo could at least put a decent amount of gameplay hours on this one.
As a mario fan, I say this one is a lot easier than the previous titles and it gets pretty boring at times.
I recommend this game for those looking for a decent game on the 3DS though I prefer that you should get the 3D Land instead.

Superb game
Great mario game with many features similar to the Wii. Nice song remixes in the game along with coin rush mode that makes it easier to collect 1 million coins! Too bad the 3d feature is not good with this game but its a good game none the less.

same old, same old...
The game played just like every other 2d mario game out there.. The addition of the coin hunt doesn't exactly make it that much more interesting, and as sad as that makes me, I can't seem to play this game after the couple of hours i've put into it... Might just be me, but they really need to do something new with the franchise...

First game that its a waste of battery to play in 3D
This game follows the classic 2D platformer that has been seen for the DS and the Wii. Its just your classic Mario, and i'm fine with that, I bought as a Mario game, not as something new like most people expect from a game that tries to be classic. In that regard, its a really fun platformer.
My main issue is the waste of battery the 3D is in this game, it just makes the backgorund blurry, thats it. I only turned it on for the final battles of the game, since there the 3D is actually used.
The game can be beaten in around 5 hours and completed in around 10 hours (not including getting the million coins, which can be done by farming in level 2-4 for around 6 to 8 hours).
I would say get it when it gets a price cut, but knowing Nintendo, this one will stay full price for several years.

Must-Buy Title for 3DS
Let's face it.
Nintendo provides the perfect title to their hand-held.

The Mario serie is one of the best franchise in the plateformer world. And this Mario is a true Mario so... This Mario is one of the best plateformer.
It's really funny, quite difficult if you wanna have all the stars (you know the system...) and has a lot of great ideas!!!
