description
The Nintendo 3DS is based on a custom Pica200 graphics processor from a Japanese start-up Digital Media Professionals (DMP). It has two screens; the top screen is a 3.53-inch 5:3 3D screen with a resolution of 800x240 pixels (400x240 pixels per eye, WQVGA) that is able to produce a stereoscopic three-dimensional effect without 3D glasses, while the bottom screen is a 3.02-inch 4:3 non-3D touch panel with a resolution of 320x240 pixels (QVGA). The 3DS weighs approximately 8 oz. and, when closed, is 5.3 inches wide, 2.9 inches long, and 0.8 inches tall.
The system features several additions to the design of the original DS, including a slider on the side of the device that adjusts the intensity of the 3D effect, a round nub analog input called the "Slide Pad", an accelerometer, and a gyroscope. In addition, there is an infra-red communicator port situated on the top of the unit.
The 3DS has two cameras on the outside of the device, capable of taking 3D photos and capturing 3D video, as well as a camera positioned above the top screen that faces the player; both cameras have a resolution of 640x480 pixels (0.3 Megapixel). The system also has 3D movie playback capability.
Compatible with both Nintendo DS and DSi games, and a new generation of 3DS games.

Beautiful colour
This is my 3rd 3DS unit after my launch date black 3DS which I've recently sold to a friend and my pink and white 3DS XL. This pink 3DS has got to be my favorite colour design of all. I got this 3DS to get around the region locking that all 3DS users who enjoy JRPGs are plagued by. I won this off the play-asia auction and it was an extremely pleasant experience. The unit works great and has a great library of games for me to choose from. If you enjoy playing JRPGs, then you should definitely buy a Japanese unit to complement your US/ EU/ AUS unit.

3DS
I bought the Mysty Pink 3DS because one it's pink, and two because I want to play Japanese 3DS games and Nintendo decided to region lock the 3DS, which I think is so stupid. I love this thing. The 3D hurts my eyes, so I turn it off. I like how I can do that. Also, it comes with a 2 GB memory card, which you can, of course, upgrade.
It plays games really well and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a 3DS and have the ability to play Japanese games on it.

One of the best looking 3ds's out there
For those of you unaware, this console was previously only available on Konami's site and you could only purchase one when you won a spot through a raffle ticket draw which makes this limited edition special compared to the rest of the retail limited.
The console is also Region Locked to Japan which means all of the 3ds games you can play on this will have to be ones for the Japan region. No other regions unfortunately, so think very carefully before snatching this one up for yourself.
Got it as a christmas gift during 2012, can't say I have any complaints. Despite it being stock black in colour, the special snake skin design on the outer shell makes up for it. The console itself just screams beauty, looking very sleek and sexy.
The special limited edition pack comes with the usual gear, Japanese 3ds charger, charging dock, instruction manuals, a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the 3ds and of course the Limited Edition Console itself. I got it second hand so it was missing the special MGS themed filed holders which was supposed to come in the set. The game included is also one of the few games to support the slide pad/circle pad pro that's sold seperately.
Also note that due to its snake skin pattern, the outer shell picks up less noticeable finger print smudges. I doubt this was intentional but I think we can all appreciate less finger residue on our precious consoles.
Overall, it's an amazing looking piece of hardware. I wouldn't think twice picking this one over another 3ds model or even a 3ds LL. Plus, it's a must have when you are a die hard MGS fan. So if you're fine with importing all your games and are content with your console and games being all in the Japanese language this pack is an awesome pick for you! Hope this helped ;)

I a big Nintendo fince since i have memory, and this console really blow me out when all that new and originally stuff that include.
The augmented reality is realy cool, the camera detection and the 3D pics is amazing, the 3D effect is great and of course all the great tittles for 3DS make the console a master piece that do you have tu need.
The only thing better than a 3DS is a 3DS XL xD ^^

Not the greatest Nintendo console
I like my 3DS, but I liked my DS a lot more. Region-locking really sucks...
