Nintendo DSi (Pokemon Black Edition)
Sweet as limited edition from Japan. Ordered through Play-Asia, yet definitely worth it. However, the Japanese DSis don't support English language - just Japanese only. However, the console region free and can play any DS games without the need to worry.
I will say the limited edition DSs are worth it, despite me only needing it to play games. So I wouldn't really worry about a Japanese UI. I don't regret buying this - so excited when I got it. Thanks Play-Asia!

DSi XL (usa version) review
Even though I am in Oz, I have been downloading games from the US store using US wii point cards -yes it definately works!!! If you are in Oz, make sure you get a usb charge cable or go to your local Game shop and get an Oz AC power supply for $10. Thanks Play Asia :)

Perfect
I got the Pokemon (White) version DSi (came with the Pokemon Whitegame) and the console is great. I was looking for one in Japanese, and the price from PlayAsia is the best around. The game is fun, and challenging (what with the Japanese and all). The only qualm I had was with the texture of the White DSi. The Pokemon White one has a matte texture that attracts durt and scratches, but luckily they come right off. I got a clear plastic shell to put it in and now it stays clean. Thanks!

The DS has always been a favourite in the house since 2005. There is such a diverse variety of games to choose from. If you're looking for a new game console, try the DS. You won't regret it!

AWESOME Portable Console
I got it a coupla weeks ago. And I've done much more with it already, than I was able to do with my other DSs and Pokemon games. I've got a Japanese mystery gift already! I wish I'd gotten it when I got my Pokemon Black and White games. I so want to try other games now! I got an SD Card for it. Though it no longer plays GBA games, it is a clear advancement in DS consoles.

Beatiful Natural White DSI LL
I finally got the color I wanted! It's perfect and there is no dead pixels on the screen either! Now I have my Crystal Polar White DS Lite and my Natural White DSI LL! I got the right power charger adapter too!

A huge improvement.
The DSi LL is such an improvement from a normal DS, DS Lite, and DSi. It makes a huge difference in my gaming experience and I am a proud owner of a DSi LL. If I could put only one word on this review that'll be comfort. Another DS' graphics are pretty but seeing them on a big screen like LL's something worthy to mention.
The big stylus fits well too.
I chose the Wine Red color because it pass me an refined and mature feeling (even though I'm playing pokemon on it).

I already had myself a DSi before buying a LL, but the new region-locking on many of my wanted DS titles meant I was in the market for a Japanese system. The yellow DSi LL stood out to me, so I took the plunge.
It's, frankly, awesome. The screens are huge, bright and clear. Yeah, the resolution is low and *certain* games may not benefit, but stuff like Pokemon and Dragon Quest look fantastic on it.
It has a great sense of weight and the style of the system is very classy, even in the new brighter colours. If you want a DS, the XL/LL is the way to go!

Really wish this had come out earlier in the DS' life, because the bigger screens are so much better.
Never liked handhelds because of their small screens (I never play on them outdoors anyway), so the XL is an awesome little device. Throw in the much more comfortable larger stylus and I'd totally recommend this to anyone who's always lamented the size of the regular DS screens. Games still look fantastic, gave it a test with Pokemon Soul Silver and it just as good if not better.
Considered waiting for the 3DS, but as the 3DS screens are 0.75 inches smaller than the XL's, this is likely to remain my DS gaming machine for a long time into the future.

I ordered the yellow LL, and even after hearing the reviews i was still impressed by the screen's size. It definitely improves the experience. The color case looks great, and the buttons feel solid.

I have seen other reviews on other sites talking about the extra $$ for the XL was not worth it, but so far, we can't complain. The game was for my son, who's previous DS-lite gave up the ghost after 4 years of hard playing. He really likes the larger screens and the battery life is much better as well. In my opinion, the screen size alone is worth the slight boost in price...

WOW this is BIG!
That is what I can say about it, every time I see someone using another DS, that isn't XL I can't see everything on the screen, it is too small for me because I'm using XL too much. So, buy XL, big screen, beautiful colors, I think all every game become more visible and beautiful in DSi XL.

Well, not as good as PSP, but still good
Good portable consle, and there are a lot of good games for it, but craphics arn't so nice. It's like playing Super Nintendo (well, little better that that).
PSP has better potensial as a portal game console. So if you don't have specific games (sadly, there are many games just for DS) that you want to play, I rather recomend buying PSP.

I won't be able to play on another DS again... I'm playing the Ace Attorney games now and I just can't stop... BLARGH!! one minor irritating thing is that it feels like a big brick in your pocket. and because of the big screens it's much easier to play quick games like ouendan also!

Very worth it
It's not much more expensive than a normal DSi and it's makes DS games wayyyy more enjoyable with the larger screens. If you can't decide on what DS model to get, I strongly recommend this one!

just received it today. it has positive & negative reviews for me, so it's 3/5 stars rated.
it's very huge but the resolution is still good. i tried with nintendogs, very nice. usually bigger screen = worse resolution, but it's NOT.
but it's not portable for me. very heavy to be played in hours. you'll get your both hands tired. people like portable console because portable means small & comfortable to use anywhere. but this is not portable anymore with this weight

I've been a fan of Nintendo handheld forever. And this one didn't let me down, yet. The twin screen are huge and vibrant, they're way bigger then my old DSi (I guess I don't have to mention the comparison to my DS lite). The only let down is the weight of the console, which is kinda heavy to play in a long run.

before i bought the LL, my DS gaming was starting to die out. the system's bigger screens definitely turned that all around. games that i had put down for months took on a newer, crisper life. the system is particularly good for games with an emphasis on graphical presentation, but the larger touch screen also allows you to be a tad more precise when it's utilized in gameplay. if there is a downside to the LL, it's just that it's larger size and weight make it that little bit less convenient than previous incarnations. it's a little uncomfortable for extending gaming sessions, but at the same time, it adds so much more to even older games that you'll want to spend more and more time playing on it.

I didn't think I was going to get a DS, but I HAD to have it because a couple of my fav games are out only for DS!
I havent actually used it because I dont have a converter to charge the device.
So far so good though, hopefully I can play it as soon as I get the converter =)

I bought one NDS , a launch Phat and never looked back
until now that is , the NDSi LL is great , the quality is high end , the screens are crystal clear (almost the size of PSP screens), the cams aren't very high res but they're just a novelty anyway

This is a great addition to the Nintendo DS range , not only does the DSi Matte feel great to touch it sounds better and has a wonderful new interface that is fun to use with great animated effects and sounds, just browsing through the DSi Shop is a joy with soothing background music while shopping. This is a great addition to the Nintendo DS range , not only does the DSi Matte feel great to touch it sounds better and has a wonderful new interface that is fun to use with great animated effects and sounds, just browsing through the DSi Shop is a joy with soothing background music while shopping. Best DS yet!
Since picking up this system I have a hard time going back to my older DS. The screens on this are significantly larger, the grip is a lot better due to the rough finish on th back, and over all just greatly improved over the previous models. It may not be the best system for everyone, and it certainly costs a bit, but in my opinion this is the best DS yet!

Price sucks big time...
I can buy this same system in Yodobashi Camera in Machida for 20,000 yen... 5,000 yen cheaper than what they are selling it for here. I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed about the price. As for the system itself, I've only seen it on display at Yodobashi and haven't tried it yet..... just beware of this price. It's selling for a lot cheaper if you take a look around for it.

This is marketed towards the elderly, a huge market that Nintendo already have been tapping into for years; but actually its a great improvement for all Nintendo lovers.
Firstly, build quality is greatly improved - wasnt bad before, but this is the gti of dsi's - i love it.

I have brightness set on 3/5 which is not dim -about right. Been playing zelda for a few hours over the last few days, putting in sleep mode and battery shows over half full. Time wise its already surpassing my dsi. Nintendo say 4-5 hours, but refreshingly, this appears to be with full brightness and wifi on, because i reckon i wiill get 8-10 hours.

I love the DSi
This is my favorite handheld Nintendo has put out yet. The screens look so bright and beautiful! Much brighter than even the pspgo’s screen. The only problem with the dsi is there has yet to be a dsi exclusive game from Nintendo.

When I bought my blue DSi, all my friends asked me: "What is that thing" or "Wy dont you bought PSP"... But if they played a half of hour, I just cant get my console back. After that many of my friends bought DSi too.
2 cameras give's awesome potential for games and fun on party with friends. Console small, light and easely fits the pocket on jeans. The brightness of screens and materials that console made of are very good. Many interesting games will give you hundreds hours of play... MUST HAVE for all gamers!!!

a must have for girls and students
This is the first Nintendo DS I bought. I was so regret that I didn't buy other of this product line. The touch pen make this machine really easy to take notes or draw. I'm not quite hooked in the games, but in Nintendo, there are software for various of fields, I especially like sport and cooking ones.

I recently got the Red Dsi and I have to say, I am loving all the built in features especially the camera mode. The brightness, lightness, and overall feel of this console is PERFECT whether your on the go, or just relaxing at home. It does wonders on all the Ds games and epic for all you button mashers out there like me~ I got this console in anticipation for Pokemon Heart Gold and this console was definitely worth it, plus it's red^^ Go GET ONE NOW! :3~

first Nintendo DS console owner
When I heard about the DSi coming to U.S. I was shocked and happy, I've read everything there is about the DSi before I bought one. I'm happy I bought my matte blue DSi and I just bought another one which is the white Japan version. I now have a console to play on my way out, I recommend this hand held systems to anyone that loves Mario games and others.

This is much better!
I bought a original DS when is came out and it was big, heavy, and tough. I also bought a DSL and all the buttons broke on me. And i just bought the DSi and it is an amazing improvement. Its tougher lighter and all around better. I recommend this for anyone with JUMP ultimate stars. It makes it a lot funner.

An excellent system
I just received the system today; it was a very fast ship. I like the system's screen, since it is a lot larger by comparison to the first DS. The system is all in Japanese I really like that. A must buy for anyone who loves Nintendo products the features are also nice.

Great Update to DSlite
My old blue and black DSL broke on me a week ago, and I decided to buy a DSi. I love it, the bigger screens are very noticable when you play. The cameras and equilizers are very fun to play with, with the pre-installed software. I dont read ANY Japanese, but I was able to set up Wi-fi and download a few things from the store. As lond as your determined, you will be able to traverse the menus and do what you need to do.
Bottom line, if you need a new DS and you want a DSi, go for it, you will be the firts person you know to have it too!

i remember once the first nds come out ,i was wishing that it had just like the psp a update & internet featurs builtin,with the new ndsi,dream has become reality.
the 2 camara,s & music player is very innavative.
it feels more like a next gen.

This console is awesome,it have all of that the Psp have.

before DSI release,i already have 2 NDS.But when the DSI came out,i still ordered one from play-asia.Well after i got it in hand,what i want to say is it is worth the money.It is very impressive!Larger screen make everything looks better.The console body has different material from the NDS.I like the feeling when i hold it in hand.The build-in camera function is really interesting,u could use the picture as the screensaver.A lot of more functions that really interests me.The only thing i don't like is the system only has japanese,hope they will add more languages in future.

Nintendo DSi - Black
The unit itself is terrific. The problem is I do not speak Japanese and did not see the small note under the further information section that said no multi-lingual OS. This limits some of my ability to correct wi-fi connection issues since I do not read Japanese. I only recommend if you speak or read Japanese. If you do...go for it. The unit is really great feature wise!

I got mine today I really like it! I wish they had more colours to choose from BUT it's great collector! I like the new added features I'm not to sad about losing the GBA insert I think it's kinda great that way ^_^ besides this like a professional side of Nintendo DS sooner or later it will get internet access kinda like the iphone! Thanks Play Asia for the delivery :)
