Just when Issun, the new ruler of the country thinks that Amaterasu and Susanou have restored peace over Nakatsunokuni, new monsters start popping up. More numerous, and powerful than ever, these monsters are turning humans into boulders or dinner.
But hope is not lost, for the new wolf Chibiterasu is here to save the day. Pick up your stylus and start drawing. The touch screen on the Nintendo DS makes painting even more handy. And this time, you're not going alone, Kuninushi, the self-proclaimed son of Susanou will accompany you with his big sword.

I love this game! A fun sequel to Okami, it still has many new things to learn and enjoy, new places to go, and fun characters to team up with. Definitely worth getting.

Very nice title!
Being a Japanese learner I wanted to play this title in his native language. It is a very nice adventure and, even I can't understand every single word, I can get them by contest. Not to mention that the more difficult kanji have furigana above them.

Wonderful
Okamiden is a beautiful little game. As a Zelda like adventure game, it provides a full length epic adventure in your hands and on top of that has some genuinely funny writing and teaches you some Japanese cultural idiosyncrasies all at the same time! I would suggest it almost universally.
The only caveat is that if you've played the original game recently, it plays out in a very similar fashion. It borders on derivative of itself at points. This ceases to be a problem if you've not played the game in a while.

Chibiterasu...
This is not what I was hoping for after playing Okami on the PS2 a few years ago, but is not bad at all. I'm still waiting for a new Okami on the big consoles but meanwhile this one is worth your money and time.
