Much better than the 2011 edition
I bought the first one released in 2011. Disappointed with the bass. When Sony released this new one, I decided to take the plunge and bought it. No regrets. Bass is good. I usually tune it to "game" EQ as I find the shooter EQ to be just too much... Hahha. U got to try it to understand... U Literally will feel the bass impact.... Very good mad worth getting even if u have bought the first one, like me...

I use it for my iPhone and Macbook Pro Retina and the sound for my movies collection and songs is mind-blowing..As this is my ever own 1st headset....I give it thumbs Up! Truly recommended for geeks and music lover alike!

Best Headset Ever!
This headset is by far the best you can get but make sure you get a good price. The MSRP is $149.99 but if you are in a place where it would be hard to get it any other way then the extra cost is still totally worth it. They have excellent sound, they are rechargeable and very comfy. I think anyone looking to spend over a hundred on a headset for the PS3 or and regular mobile device would be insane to reject these headphones.
