Probably Great for Japanese Readers
Like a great many Japanese game-guides, this product is most likely best suited for anyone who can read Japanese (which I cannot); it appears to be chock full of level strategies and background information, and charts of items, skills, stats, and lots of data in general. It goes into depth on the individual Hero classes, monsters, bosses, weapons, and even hairstyles. Mine also came with an insert containing a code for the DLC-only Jester's Cap item, but I haven't been able to get it to work, so it might only work with a Japanese copy of the game.
There are a great deal of images for those like me who got this for Patapon 3 artwork on-demand without having to boot the game up, including an extensive section dedicated to weapons showing the level 30+ versions of every weapon and armor item. The monster and boss images are somewhat lackluster, though, being quite small, and many of them are cropped. There are many, many screenshots, though most of them are also very small and difficult to make out. There is some nice in-game art of the Heroes and Dark Heroes, though, as well as aforementioned section on Uberhero hairstyles, which gets pretty hilarious with the Wacky Ticket.
Overall, a seemingly good buy. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review is my own lack of understanding of Japanese, keeping me from being able to tell if the information inside the book is as good or useful as the sheer volume of it seems to imply.
