Black 2 and White 2 take place two years after the first Black and White games in the Isshu region. Ice freezes over the land, and as a pokemon trainer, you are going to find out why. Start off in Hiougi city. A lot of facilities that has never been available in the first game have opened now. Shop in the new arcades and go to the aquarium.
Around three hundred pokemon are registered in the Isshu region, some of them are your old friends while some of them have special skills. Engage in an adventure with them as you strive to tame the legendary Black and White Kyurems. These two dragons have the Freeze Bolt and Cold Flare attacks, and they are even more powerful than Zekrom's Cross Thunder and Reshiram's Cross Flare.

A fantastic addition to the series. The music is excellent and beyond, with a myriad of very-well done remixes and never-before listened instrumentations. The dynamic with the new Team Plasma allows for a better, albeit a little bit more simplist, story. The Join Avenue, the Pokémon World Tournament and the Medal system bring more replay-value, with the latter incorporating an achievement system of sorts. The expanded Isshu Dex and the Isshu Link encourage players to connect with each other.
Overall, it's a solid title with tons of things to do and a must for any serious Pokémon fan.

Many improvements to increase the game play compared to Pokemon Black/White. Lots of non-Unova native pokemon to be captured early in the game, so you can raise your favourites earlier. Great game!

A first for the series
The choice to continue BlackWhite instead of a third version with improvements is a great thing for the franchise as it shows that the best universe ever created for the Pokémon series has much to Grow, and do agreat job at killing time while we wait for the sicth generation.

Pokemon White 2
I have to wait for about 3 weeks after it being shipped, and now i have to say that those waiting are not in vain.
Pokemon White 2, as like other Pokemon games, is a must-have if you own Nintendo handhelds. i have been playing Pokemon since the days of R/B/Y and i still feel the excitement i had when i was just a little boy right after i started this game.

Highly Recommended
I was a little wary of Black/White initially, but after playing it, I never looked back. Now that Black/White 2 has come out, I bought it and wasn't disappointed. A definite must for any Pokemon Master.

Far superior to the original Black/White.
The geographical layout is still the same and yet remained attractive due to some changes. Everything else has been improved upon. Auto repel, Shopping Avenue, PWT, Hidden Grottoes, Habitat List in the Pokedex and many more new features make it easier to acquire the items, skills and EVs that you wish. The movesets of most Pokemon have been reshuffled a bit to make it a bit more well balanced and to utilise the power of TMs all the better. And now there are even more fun minigames and sidequests.
If you play it on the 3DS I highly recommend the Dream Radar add-on for this game. Definitely worth the 3-4$ purchase.
Personally I feared that the pinnacle of the Pokemon Franchise on Handhelds has been reached with HG&SS but this game made me rethink.

This game comes a few years after the first one, story-wise and sets the player in the usual go around the region, collect the 8 badges and beat the Champions.
Aside form that, there are a few side activities to do, as well as an achivement-like system, called Medals, taht are awarded after fullfilling certain tasks in from of hints.
Instead of only Unova pokemon, now there are all gen pokemon in the wild, and the Pokedex has a really cool new thing, called Habitat, taht gives you a nice little list of all the pokemon you can catch in an area, making it really easy to know if you missed anything.

It is not very different from the previou version, some extras, i hope great improvements on this serie when it is debuted on 3ds, specificaly in the story, i'm not a great fan but this version is the best i ever seen.

Love it...but
Played every game since Pokémon Red came and been a loyal fan ever since. This game is very good, though there aren't that many changes. The battle styles could use more of the triple and rotation battles, enhance the graphics with real 3D and let the player move in which ever direction he/she wants and not just up/down/left/right. The battles get very pixelated, especially when you're zoomed into a Pokémon.
Other than that the game is great, it contains a lot of Pokémon and you get Pokémon from earlier generations in the beginning of the game. Lots of battles and the story is good.

Great Sequel!!!
Though there aren't any significant changes since the first game, this game is a definite "should play" for the fans.
The game expands the original and added few tweaks to redefine the flaws of the previous installment.
What I like about the game is the multiplayer compatibility since it's fun to play with people who knows about the mechanics of the game.

Defied expectations
Perhaps because I'm relatively cynical about anything with the number '2' in the title, especially given the Pokemon franchise's proclivity towards being rather... samey, I didn't have particularly high expectations for this one. It was, however, much better than I thought it would be.
B/W2 are basically generation 5's version of the traditional 'bridging game', a la Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, except instead of simply buffing up the engine, changing some distributions around and padding the game and story out a bit more, they've done that -and- built an entirely new story from scratch.
Probably one of the best improvements, besides the very cool and very fun Pokemon World Tournament (think anime-style Pokemon tourneys), is the additional of wild Pokemon from previous gens from the outset. So if, like a fair few people, you're not too keen on the new gen characters and would rather use a more traditional team, that option is available as well.
Overall, while still very much so more of the same, the game wasn't as much of a disappointment as originally expected, and was actually very enjoyable! I recommend anyone who likes the franchise to give it a go.

B/W2 are basically generation 5's version of the traditional 'bridging game', a la Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, except instead of simply buffing up the engine, changing some distributions around and padding the game and story out a bit more, they've done that -and- built an entirely new story from scratch.
Probably one of the best improvements, besides the very cool and very fun Pokemon World Tournament (think anime-style Pokemon tourneys), is the additional of wild Pokemon from previous gens from the outset. So if, like a fair few people, you're not too keen on the new gen characters and would rather use a more traditional team, that option is available as well.
Overall, while still very much so more of the same, the game wasn't as much of a disappointment as originally expected, and was actually very enjoyable! I recommend anyone who likes the franchise to give it a go.

A great Sequel to Pokemon black/White 1
Pokemon White 2 is a great sequel to Pokemon white 1. If you had enjoyed that you'll definitely need to get white 2 as well. I have both white and black 2 and they are both great!

Battling people over WiFi is still as fun as ever. Must get for any Pokemon fan who wants to take training their Pokemon to the next level.

Isshu region has undergone alot of changed from the previous Black and White series, new areas to explore, characters from past have grown up over the 2 years. Now facing off against New Team Plasma, and meeting familiar faces from before. Excellent game, you can now obtain different Pokemon right from the start instead of being locked to only Isshu region Pokemon until you complete the game.
New features such as Medal System, where you have to do various tasks to be awarded medals, there is 255 to collect each divided into 5 groups. PokeStar Studios is another great feature, you can make little Pokemon movies and they appear in the theater in-game, while they have this in the game, they still have Pokemon Musical Dance, so it still gives you plenty to do. One other noticeable thing you'll notice about this game is the Gyms have been changed about, and they get a revamp from previous games, New Gym Leader Roxie which you battle near the start when you get to collecting your 2nd Gym Badge, you'll also notice the Trio-Brothers are no longer listed as Gym Leaders as they've been replaced with Roxie who is Gym Leader in their place. –– Other new features is that you can now get Pokemon and Items from the 3DS Game app Pokemon AR Dream Radar so you can get rare unlockable Pokemon including rare items.
There is only 1 down side to this game, the new special forms of Pokemon can't be traded back to previous Black and White games, trying to trade them back will say they have special forms and can't be traded back to previous games. Therefore when you battle someone with Black 2 or White 2 vs someone with Black and White games, all Pokemon with different forms will look like their normal forms to Black and White games.

Quite surprised
I thought this game would similar to pokemon platinum after diamond and pearl, but I was pleasently surprised to see all the new stuff in the game! The story is 2 years after pokemon white, and they changed a decent amount of stuff :) This is worth buying!

Came fast, but had one problem
This game is pretty cool. It's sort of going back to it's roots where there is only ONE rival (not two, like they've started having in the past few games). I'm impressed with the speed it got here (about a week), the only thing was that I missed the message where it says "Confirmed will not work on all US 3DS systems." This is a problem, as the only DS system I have at the moment is a US 3DS. I will be getting another DS in order to play this, but until then, I shall be Pokemon-less.

This is the first game I have bought in Japanese ever - but this is so much more fun to play. The story is set two years after Blach & White (1), so all characters you meet are matured and altered a bit. I haven't been able to play much yet until now, but I'm already stoked. I like it that that the beginning here are not only the Unova Pokémon available until you beat the League, but right at the beginning I can already catch some of my favourite Pokémon. This is not only a remake of Black & White as some other versions have been, but a whole new game. Also the new features such as hollows make it very interesting.

So not only are there some different pokemon from the Black version, some of the routes and areas also differ between the versions. It makes it even more fun to play both so that you don't feel like you have already done it all. Music and animation are still the best in video franchises. I definitely recommend this game. Also it works with the AR Dream Radar game from the eshop right from the beginning to capture even more types of pokemon.

I've been playing Pokémon since I was a kid. This was the episode I looked forward the most! When they announce it I was so happy then designs came out and everything. I falled in love with Akuroma..!!
About the game now, this game is amazing, more mini games, Pokéwood and there's still the musicals. A whole new story and it's more developed than in other Pokemon games. There are tons of events and the game let's you fight with other characters. The new music tracks are very interesting, it's nice they've putted voices in some.
As I don't speak Japanese, I can't wait for US version to understand but you can see that this new Pokemon game is amazing even without understanding what they say!

This game is simply amazing!! I've bought JP versions of pokemon games before, but this one is the best! The amazing characters, unexpected twists (that I only get the gist of, because I don't read Japanese), and the amazing new areas to explore! I recommend this game to anyone who likes pokemon. If you don't like spoiling the gameplay, then I recommend you wait till the US version is released, but then by that time the Japanese version players will have it all and we will just be starting. Plus, having a JP game means you can get all those WI-FI events that will never ever be released in any other country so that is a major benefit to having a JP version. So buy this, it's well worth it!

Story: In the simplest terms, I found the story very good for the simplicity Pokemon brings with its name. The story on Kyurem is well completed, which will probably bring much relief to many. Team Plasma's divide between “old” and “new” members created a line of twists I enjoyed.
Medal System: I've seen a lot of complaints on this, but I don't know why. You only have to collect them if you feel like it.
Gameplay: Adding older Pokemon into Isshu/Unova made the region feel fresh in it's dynamics. New Major Features: The Pokemon World Tournament is fun, but obviously for fan-service of older characters (Where's a Battle Frontier?). I haven't done much yet in Pokewood/Pokestar but it looks like there's potential in messing with the movie's outcomes. Join Avenue is a great way to access otherwise rare items and services.
Last Words: You're not going to want to play Black 2/White 2 if you didn't enjoy Black/White – since this is still the same world and mechanics, just changed up a little bit – but this is definitely another solid entry in the series for those who still find fun in Pokemon games.

Secondly, you are stuck with no day-care center until after the main story... so you have to embrace the Pokemon that you are given with. Well, you can trade with Black/White but it will be a traded Pokemon... But there are plenty to choose.
I like how it links with the AR searcher (extra 300 yen or something) and you can get even more pokemon like the legendary sky trio in beast form. Awesome. I have never used a legendary so early in the game.

All in all, a good fun. Pokemon fans will find it worth the money - especially if you're gonna spend 100+ hours anyway.

Skeptical At First
Considering how deep the "Sequel Road" goes, I was worried this game was going to be bad. But even after surpassing my 100th hour of play time, I can say Pokemon Black2 and White2 are the best things to happen to Pokemon since the original sequels: Gold, Silver and Crystal.
Black2 and White2 bring enough "new" to the game to make the "old" worthwhile. There are more Pokemon in Regional Dex. Normally that would be it, but if you see every single one of them, you get access to a special Pokemon.
There are a few new Gym Leaders mixed in with the old Leaders. There's even a new Champion after you beat the Elite Four.
The "villains" are essentially the same, but still spiced up to keep it interesting.
These games did WAY more than any "Pokemon Grey" ever would have done. Actually seeing the progression of the region, what happened to old friends and rivals, going back on that adventure again, it's fun to do it again.
These games are 100% worth buying if you're a Pokemon fan. Even you idiotic Genwunners should get SOMETHING out of these games.

The "villains" are essentially the same, but still spiced up to keep it interesting.
These games did WAY more than any "Pokemon Grey" ever would have done. Actually seeing the progression of the region, what happened to old friends and rivals, going back on that adventure again, it's fun to do it again.
These games are 100% worth buying if you're a Pokemon fan. Even you idiotic Genwunners should get SOMETHING out of these games.

Excellent sequel
When Pokemon Black 2 was announced, I was both very excited but also sceptical. First I decided to wait for the german release, but as last minute-act I preordered a japanese copy as well.
Of course this goes the same way since the very first versions: obtaining a starter, filling the dex, gym leaders, ... However, plugging it first into my DS, I was stunned, and this effect still remains. Improved graphics, a wonderful soundtrack and beautiful settings and cutscenes make this game worth both the time and money - a must not only for the gamers since Red and Blue Versions!

The best DS game yet, not just the best DS Pokemon game! The game starts up and there is no time wasting. You get your Pokemon within 5 minutes like Red/Blue, battle your rival, and be on your way!
The amount of content in the game is insane for a Pokemon game with many of the wifi only Pokemon from Pokemon Black/White, being available without dumb downloads. You can discover the secret of Kyurem and learn of his special ability. You can travel to new cities and areas. The amount they added to the map is almost doubling the original game. It is now flooded with trainers to make leveling up very fast and easy. The new Elite 4 arenas are really cool as well!
Unlike the other Japanese Pokemon games, I recommend learning some Japanese before playing this game because there were I think 3 places where you actually needed to read the Japanese text. Since this game is region-coded, in order to use PokeTransfer, you will need a Japanese version of a previous game to send them over (Diamond to White2), but you can trade any region of Black/White to White2.

Hard to judge...
...since I've only got 4 badges so far. The story doesn't seem very deep at this point, but Pokemon likes to save its actual intense story for later in the games, if you haven't noticed. I've avoided getting spoiled about who the champion is, but I heard they are a pleasant surprise. And the world tournaments, which have several older characters fans know and love, are definitely a GREAT idea! Including older Pokemon pleases fans who wished it were like that in the first games while making the games very different from the first two. Even if the gym leaders don't all change, their gyms do. I look forward to beating the storyline and raising some lovable Pokemon in this edition, too~
The only thing that really makes me want to subtract points... is the fact that some of the towns/cities/etc. and music tracks are the EXACT SAME as they were in the first two games. Only a select few tracks in the game get remixed--otherwise, they're giving you the same exact DS music file they played in the first games. A Great Addition
I've been playing Pokemon gameboy games since they started making them and I'm so happy to see this evolution to Black2/White2. While you are still working with pokemon from the previous game series there is a huge storyline that you seem to be more involved with. There are many things that have also been improved from re-using repel notifications, better gyms, and more. I'm extremely pleased with this game.

Amazing game

Better Than Just A Third Version
Considering most sequels these days, I was more than skeptical when I ordered my copy of Pokemon White2. As you can see with Final Fantasy XIII and XIII 2, sequels can go horrible wrong. Thankfully, this isn't one of those cases.
I'm sure you all know how it goes by now. "This game takes place two year after the first, more Pokemon added to the Unova Dex, blah blah blah."
Enough has been changed to make it feel fresh, even though it's practically the same as the first. For instances, you don't go searching for the Musketeer Trio, they come looking for you.
After a certain point, you FLY halfway across the zone and start working backwards.
Those are just two examples I can think off the top of my head.
If you want a professional review, there are people out there who can give that out. This also may be the best review ever, but it's one that highly recommends this game if you've played either Black or White.
This is 100% worthy of being a sequel and completely worth your time.
I just hope Nintendo/Game Freak doesn't go overboard with sequels.

A true sequel to the first ones from last year. Great avatars and storyline. I have played it on a Japanese 3ds. Only bad part is that I can't figure out how to obtain the downloadables. Otherwise-- a must for all needing a pokemon fix :-)
