Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City delivers a true third person team based shooter experience set within the dark and sinister Resident Evil™ universe. The setting of the Resident Evil universe not only provides a rich backdrop to the action but delivers a unique and thrilling triple threat battle. Zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W’s) add to the mix as players not only compete against their team’s opposing squad but also tackle this third unpredictable element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe, creating a brand new style of gameplay and breaking the conventions of traditional team based shooters.
It is September 1998 and the action centres on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrifi c consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak. SOCCOM meets Zombies
Yeah!! Gameplay like Soccom but this time the enemies are the hordes of zombies. Although this game gets low reviews but to me its lots of fun. Great graphics and good sound efx. The zombies are a bit repetitive and predictable. Fans of Resident Evil will totally enjoy.

RE series has gone too far from its survival horror roots. And it's outsourced to another western game developer to boot.

Resident Evil as a franchise had a lot of spin offs that tried to gel different game mechanics in its universe. This game is an attempt to make a compelling team based 3rd person shooter. While there are some unpolished elements to the game, it can be entertaining to those who likes more from the universe. Not a total recommendation, but it could provide nice alternative fun for those who wants something related to resident evil.

Is a really good game, but before you buy it please CHECK what kind of internet connection you have, if its NAT 2 o NAT 3 then you wouldn't be able to play online, and this game is about that .___. I have this problem and I can't find a way to solve it. Another thing, there're not many players online as you can think. But with this disccount is a good game to try, but not with the full price, not at all.

RE : operation racoon city has good stories and very nostalgic to RE fans but dont if you have a high expecation in this game,be prepare to disappont because its not like the original RE.

Capcom didn't develope this game letting Slant Six take care of this, while they are developing RE6.
The auto-cover system is not good. There are only 7 chapters in this game. Your AI teammates are dumb like a pig, they always blocking your way for shooting, never heal you when dying but heal you when nearly full health.
However this game is fun with co-op online, there's no split-screen. You can do something much more with 2-4 of your friends instead stupid AI. It's still a good game
if you are playing online.

Its an alright game, though the online glitches need patching.

Awesome co-op survival game
It's kinda like socom, but mixed with zombies, lots and lots of zombies. Not to mention lickers, hunters, tyrants, and the brutal nemesis. I have a blast playing this game, and it gets more frantic when playing online. Worth checking out to all resident evil fans.

Very Hard to control!
It really make me sick when I have to control camera and character at the same time by using dual analog!! Also each of the mission are too long. For the package of special edition I given them 3 stars because in the picture look like they will give a lot of thing but it not what I saw in the real product!

Disappointing....
When you hear of this game sure sounds awesome but as soon you start playing is obvious something went really wrong, the game is just boring, dull and even kinda ugly. So if your looking for some cool co-op zombie game better stay with left 4 dead or even dead island, cause this resident game is just bad.

On several occasions I was legitimately surprised by the mention of the name William Birkin or the familiar sound of picking up an herb, having long forgotten that this was supposed to be a Resident Evil game. The terrible AI, the lackluster locations and the complete lack of atmosphere or memorable characters destroy what could have been a brilliant offshoot. In the end, Operation Raccoon City is little more than a poor man’s SOCOM, and a destitute man’s Resident Evil.
