A 3DS must have
With good graphics,good gameplay,good campaign,good usage of 3DS functions and cool features, this game is a must have,specially for Resident Evil lovers,as they tried to bring back the "forgotten" terror part of the series.
Raid mode (game mode which can be either solo or multi unlocked through campaign play) is a great and addicting thing.
The game does support the Circle Pad Pro attachment,but it's far from a "must".The clunkiness is part of it :)

Resident Evil Portable
It's amazing playing resident evil handheld which helps kill boredom. The graphic pretty stunning on 3DS especially turning on the 3D filter. For those who wish to play RE anytime and anywhere this is a must have. Great job to capcom and nintendo..

Another good RE and a great 3DS title
This is definitely a good RE game, it has great atmosphere like the old RE titles mixed with new mechanics from the modern games. The story is kinda dumb and you will probably want to get a circle pad to play this game, but overall is a good game and a must buy considering there is not a lot of great 3DS games yet, aside from the ones that nintendo makes.

i was surpised by the amount of content and value in this game! i wish i tried it earlier.
to be honest, this is the only 3ds game i actually finished.

This game goes the classic RE way centering in the survival horror, more than action like the latest games.

Enjoyable, but no classic.
I had a good time playing through Resident Evil Revelations (RER), which is set between RE4 and 5.
The controls are like the newer RE titles, but the environments are reminiscent of the original PS1 games.
Bad first - there are no real revelations in the story, it is mostly follows established formula. The environments are claustrophobic (a good thing) but the over the shoulder view can cause some navigation issues. The bosses are not particularly memorable and I found the first to have a ridiculous difficulty spike (big increase) where as the rest are quite easy, even the last.
The last boss is also an issue, to kill it without being hit you must master the dodge move. The execution of this move is not explained properly in either game or manual. In the end I stood my ground and fired, then healed after getting hit. Not stylish at all and I suspect I would have problems on Hard mode. If I sucked at the move, I wouldn't mind, but I do not know what I am doing wrong.
Good last - the game is divided into episodes making it better for on the move gaming and the beginning of a new episode has a 'last time on...' part to keep you in the story. The game has the usual high production values of Capcom and uses the 3DS tech very well.
Spot pass is used to share missions and items between players for raid mode. Raid is RER answer to mercenaries mode in other titles.
So the verdict, if you like Resident Evil and have a 3DS buy it. If you are a fan of the series, I would consider buying a 3DS. It is flawed but very playable.
I had a good time playing through Resident Evil Revelations (RER), which is set between RE4 and 5.
The controls are like the newer RE titles, but the environments are reminiscent of the original PS1 games.
Bad first - there are no real revelations in the story, it is mostly follows established formula. The environments are claustrophobic (a good thing) but the over the shoulder view can cause some navigation issues. The bosses are not particularly memorable and I found the first to have a ridiculous difficulty spike (big increase) where as the rest are quite easy, even the last.
The last boss is also an issue, to kill it without being hit you must master the dodge move. The execution of this move is not explained properly in either game or manual. In the end I stood my ground and fired, then healed after getting hit. Not stylish at all and I suspect I would have problems on Hard mode. If I sucked at the move, I wouldn't mind, but I do not know what I am doing wrong.

great horror game
this surprisingly is a great portable survival horror game, there is so much depth and detail I'd swear it's a console game, and a fascinating story of course, as always the resident evil series always delivers class A horror games! -Liza.H

I love RE series but before this game, the only one I've played so much was RE2 on N64, this one is a must have if you like the serie.

If you are a Resident Evil fan, give yourself this gift. This is the perfect evolution of the Resident franchise, forget Resident Evil 5, this is the real deal.

Great Game
This game's gameplay reminds me of Resident Evil 1 but without the inventory constraints of the game. The graphics are fantastic for a handheld system. I was very impressed. The storyline is very well done. The only complaint is not being able to restart a chapter if you want to.

Satisfying
I love this game a lot! I got the Mercenaries 3D and was really happy with that, but this is loads better. It has great graphics, interesting storyline, all the tension in the world for a survival horror game and the 3D is very pleasing to see.
I also like the Raid mode, which is like bonus stages where you can play on your own or with others. I think the online co-op is much better than Mercenaries 3D now because if you like a partner you can actually continue to play together for as many stage as you two mutually want. And the connection is much much more reliable too! Mercenaries' connection was super bad, and the online co-op was the highlight of the game for me.
The only "minor" downside is that I tend to press A a lot, so I use up the herbs without meaning to =( Yeah you can change the button settings, but the nicest one to use has A configured to herbs... hmmm...

A great game in all aspects.
The campaign is brillant, and mixes a few action packed levels in a slower paced survival-horror adventure.
Tension is present throughout the game and the controls, especially with the circle pas pro feel really good. The visuals are gorgeous too.
On top of that, the game has a raid mod with over 20 levels that you can play in solo or cooperation with evolving characters and weapons, and it is very addictive.
The only setback as far as I'm concerned is the save system that doesn't really let you chose when to save, but that's a minor annoyance.

Flagship 3DS title
This game is impressive in every way. Manages to reach back to Resident Evil's horror roots, and looks amazing while doing it. This game really shows off what the 3DS can do. Superb graphics, voice acting, and the circle pad pro addition works really well.
