Good if you are a fan
I have a personal taste for the Rune Factory saga. This version does not dissapoint. Feels like a deserved upgrade from Rune Factory: Frontier.
-I liked the battle mode.

Featuring a vast region to explore, a wonderful cast of characters, and a huge variety of activities to enjoy, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is sure to make waves! Aden and Sonja, two lifelong friends, live a tranquil life on Fenith Island until they're struck by a mysterious curse: they awaken to find both of their souls are now trapped in the same body! On top of this unusual calamity, the Fenith they knew is gone, replaced by a strange island populated with unfamiliar faces. Only by exploring this new world will they be able to solve the mystery of this curse and save their beloved Island. During the course of their journey, Aden and Sonja will be aided by a colorful cast of characters, as well as take command of the towering golem Ymir. Using their newfound giant friend, they'll cross vast seas, discover hidden islands and dungeons packed with riches, and battle fearsome monsters of the deep!

Very good game
If you´ve played and liked previous rune factory titles this one will not dissapoint you, this game is very charming and will give you many, many hours of gameplay, it doesn´t expand that much the original formula of the series but brings more than enough content to keep you engaged for long time.

Unique!
Harvest Moon + JRPG + Dating Sim = Rune Factory Series.
Storywise: Simple.
Graphics: Nice.
Gameplay: Good.
Music: Great.
Fun game and rathe unique on the PS3, very WORTH!

Reminiscing Harvest Moon
The game in itself is a lot of fun with the many things you can do and is also a great game that is similar to harvest moon but with fighting monsters and taming monsters. With the inclusion of fighting monsters and taming them to help you with the farm is quite helpful that in which it allows you to have more time to travel around town and get to know the people or travel to other islands and discovering the many hidden secrets around the world map.
Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is a good game with lots of fun that you would play for hours at a time. It has a blend with that traditional JPRG feel with real-time battle experience and somewhat close to Pokemon but by means of taming the monsters. Overall the game is great but with the year of its release, my only complaint for the game is the graphics, which is somehow still similar to PS2 graphics.
