Despite a few minor flaws (for one, driving is terrible) and repetitious actions/events this game really does well bringing GTA style gameplay to Hong Kong (with better fight mechanics I might add). I lived in HK for 6 years and some places in the game look as though they've been directly traced from real photos, others, not so much. The only thing missing to give a real HK experience is another million NPCs walking around!

This is important if you're from Hong Kong: Sleeping Dogs says it's inspired by Hong Kong Cinema, but it's done from an American viewpoint. It picks up on different cliches and trends to those local viewers would consider important in any kind of tribute.

The price has gone down by USD19.91 since I bought last month. This is the best time to pick up one of the better games of 2012 which is packed with action and lots of fighting. Definitely worth a purchase.
