Almost 20 years since this game came out for the Super Famicom, Nintendo re-releases this all-time classic including a bonus soundtrack CD. This Asian version is almost the same as the Japanese version, but with Chinese text exclusive to HK and Macau markets. This cheaper version (when compared to the Japanese release) would be great for your collection.

It's just a rerelease of Super Mario Collection / Super Mario All-Stars, and that's fine. A selling point for me was the music CD and history booklet. But.. If you're a die-hard Mario fan like me, the music selection you may find to be a little lacking in decent tracks that can be found elsewhere, and the booklet don't feature any more information that you'd already know. But, it's an okay package.

Awesome collection for the Mario fans
This collection is just exactly like the Super Famicom version, however you get that cool booklet and the soundtrack CD, which I thought is a nice addition.
This is the only way to play the 16-Bit versions of the 8-Bit Super Mario Bros. games on the Wii so I suggest to buy this game and don't miss out on it.
The only problem I have is that the games on this collection are played in 4:3 only and I just wished it just went to the aspect ratio the Wii is set upped with since I always play my virtual console games on 16:9.
Other than that, this collection is just awesome to have.

Seriously, the soundtrack itself is worth the price of admission. Nintendo rarely releases any soundtracks, and a soundtrack in Japan normally costs like 2,000yen by itself.
The games included is of course an excellent collection. It is a quick and cheap port no doubt, because it doesn't include anything else like Super Mario 64 or later games, but the price is cheap so it is still very much worth it.
All in all, great presentation, great value, great package.

It's a 'mush have' for collector's. The box and the booklet are superb and the games are exactly like the original snes versions.

Nice but...
The collection is pretty weak, since it's just the emulation of super mario all stars (snes), it would have been way better if in addition included all the original versions as well and maybe super mario world and mario 64. As it is, it's very hard to recommend to anyone who is not a die-hard completist mario fan.

If you like Super Mario Collection for Super Nintendo (Super Mario All-Stars), then you'll like reliving this collector's item!
This game has Super Mario 1, Super Mario 2 (Japanese version), Super Mario 3, and Super Mario USA (Super Mario 2 US version).
Super Mario 3 is considered by many to be the greatest Super Mario of all time and is definitely the most fun to play!

Super Mario Collection Special Pack is what appears after I opened the PlayAsia package. Very Nice and + 1 points to happiness.
And then after trying the game (in fact, 4 games!) , the warm nostalgic feeling came back, and I still remember trying to get the "treasure ships" that appears in Mario III worlds after certain conditions are met. + 4 points!
Finally, the limited edition guide that comes along with it adds to the finishing touch! Full of nice pictures, it adds vibrance to my collection, even though it is in Japanese. + 5 points = total 10/10 points!
