From the publisher: Welcome to a brawl for the ages, where anything can happen, anyone can show up and all bets are off. In multiplayer games, characters from all Nintendo universes meet up in Nintendo locales to duke it out. In the solo mode called "The Subspace Emissary," the world of Smash Bros. is invaded by an entity called the Ancient Minister and his army of creatures, called "The Primid." Normally, characters come alive in the world of Smash Bros. to do battle, then turn back into trophies when defeated.

However, the Ancient Minister starts turning characters into trophies to harness their power, then detonates bombs that suck pieces of the world back into his realm of Subspace. Eventually, all the characters must work together to defeat the invading creatures from Subspace - this is accomplished by playing through side-scrolling levels.

Our first shipment of Nintendo's highly anticipated and Famitsu Japan 40/40 rated Wii™ fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl (aka. Dairantou Smash Brothers X) has reached us today, only covering about 15% of all preorders that we have received. This is the NTSC/J encoded Japanese release edition, suitable only for Japanese Nintendo Wii™ consoles.


Please note that Nintendo has badly cut preorders placed by all distributors and is only shipping very limited quantities into the market this week. Play-Asia.com does not expect more supply during this week and with the Chinese New Year holidays just around the corner, we estimate to fill all remaining preorders only by the second half of February earliest.

If you have preordered this game and your order is still on "Preorder Status", you will receive an e-mail from our customer service later this week with an update on the shipping situation. On a side note, the US release version is on preorder to ship in March 2008.

The Tales of Destiny Director's Cut is based on the 2006 released PlayStation2™ game Tales of Destiny with plenty of new features, including a new game mode called the "Lion's Side", which will make Lion Magnus the main character instead of Stan Aileron, a few new events for sub characters, new carry over features, new voice clips, new dungeon hints and even some more battle difficulty levels for all hardcore Tales fans.

If you happened to miss out on the original release or are a solid Tales fan, then you should definitely check out the Director's Cut. Good news also for everyone who has played the original release as this game supports Tales of Destiny (PS2) save files.


Namco's Tales of Destiny Director's Cut for PlayStation2™ is shipping today as Japanese language NTSC/J encoded Asian release version. The game is available as Regular Edition (US$ 54.90) and Premium Box (US$ 64.90). The Premium Box version comes with a nice storage box, a special (different) game case, a Tales of Destiny Illustrations Book (128 pages) and Soundtrack (21 tracks).

The Japanese release version of this game is expected to arrive later this week.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness 3 (aka. Makai Senki Disgaea 3) takes place in a Netherworld School called the Maritsu Evil Academy. In this demon school, a good student is one who engages in delinquent activities such as ditching classes, or not doing homework.

The student who participates the most in these kind of activities is known as the Honor Student, while demons who arrive to class early and do their homework are known as delinquents. Mao, son of the chairman, has not once attended class since the beginning of school and is known as the honor-student of Maritsu Evil Academy.

His ambition for the future is to overthrow his father, who also happens to be an Overlord, and take his title for himself. After reading a few volumes in his manga, Mao comes to the conclusion that "heroes are the ones who defeat devils". From that point on, Mao resolved to become a hero himself, convinced it will help him achieve his goal.


Nippon Ichi's Disgaea: Hour of Darkness 3 for PlayStation3™ is shipping today as Asia release editions. The Japanese counterparts are expected to be in stock in a few days. Here's the full release lineup.
