Excellent
This is by far one of the most Inspiring art books out there! And probably one of the most rarest, so get one while you can. Ever since this book arrived, it has rested more on my office desk than it has on the bookshelf, it's hard to put away once you flip the first page.

Another must have collection for Ogre Battle series fans, especially for those who missed this series in mid 90's

The book rapes my eyes, and I'm loving it.
I've never played Tactics Ogre *that* far, but I do love both Akihiko Yoshida's and Tsubasa Masao's art, and having bought this artbook which they are the character designer... It's like I've come to understand what people say when they're talking about nerdgasm, coz I'm feelin' it on every effin' page, bi*chez.

One part that I like very very much is the character sketch where there are, well, sketches from every and each major character (I've never completed the game, so I'm not really sure, but boy, there sure are a LOTS of them) AND the monsters. It's like the book raping my eyes. And that's before I turn the next page in which I found the environment art. Multiple nerdgasm ahoy!

So you see, this artbook is just that awesome, especially if you're a fan of Akihiko Yoshida and/or Tsubasa Masao. Worth every penny you spent. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to drool over Ravness Loxaerion's... designs. Again.

If you love fantasy art or are a fan of detailed character designs especially costume and armor details this book is for you, the amount of subtle details on every image on every page make this a MUST HAVE! Beautiful art from the new game and it even includes a section with art pieces from the original game truly a MUST HAVE!

Subtle detail at its best. Love it.
At first glance, the art seems plain and simple. A closer look will reveal all the details and intricacies weaved into the work of the artist. I love how his work makes use of simple shapes and designs but utilizes other details to make the illustrations rich and grand, unlike a lot of medieval artworks/designs out there that use flashy, gaudy and overused wings/armors/extensions.

This book is an page turner. Every piece of art work is worth looking at for long periods of time and the character class section screams "AWESOME". Those who find the price to be a little lame should not fret because each page is worth every dollar. Definitely one of my prized books in my collection. A must have for fans of the game and those who are fans of art in general.

don't miss this
if you are an orge tactics this is a must to buy, though the design different from the original one from 10 years ago but this one looks a lot better!. This book got everything an perfect art book should have. you will not disapppoint.

Works of Art
Though Yoshida didn't draw that much of the designs excepted for the beautiful tarot collection, the chara design never fails when we see how Tsubasa handled all the main and optionnal characters. Whether it be armors, garments or faces everything's done brilliantly. That's why I don't regret this purchase for a second to be honest ^^
