Classic Taiko
Taiko has had 3 solid Wii outings and this marks the fourth. The title Ketteiban basically labeling this as the 'definitive' entry with over 100 songs and the continuation of 4 player action, costumes and songs chosen by the community.
Once again there is a diverse (but still primarily Japanese focused) track list. The requisite Idolm@ster songs are here (including Go My Way!), along with songs from New Super Mario, Monster Hunter, even some of Namco's 8 and 16 bit entries make an appearance. An additional Hatsune Miku track, plenty of anime classical, J-pop and rock make for a solid list.
What's new? Besides music, new costumes are added (or are easier to unlock) because now a good portion of the songs have a corresponding costume to unlock. Examples such as Hatsune Miku and Idolm@ster outfits are just a few of the dozens I've seen. Unlocking also seems more relevant now, with statistics appearing telling you why you unlocked a particular item.
The 4 player modes are back, but now seem to be focused on songs instead of mini-games, as the previous entry had done. There's also a simple story type mode you can follow if you know how to read Japanese, however Japanese knowledge is, again, completely optional and in no way makes the game any more or less fun.
The controls are still solid on a Wii remote, but it's recommended that you buy a Tatacon, as it greatly increases the fun. A great game for the family too!
