Great Game!
Skyrim is a very good action-rpg game. The main history isn't that long, but after you finish it, there's a LOT more to do: Side-quests, rare/epic items, dungeons and etc.. If you want a game to hold you for 40+ hours, this is definitely the game for you!

Simply the Best!
At the moment, there are no real challengers to this game if you enjoy sandbox-rpg's. "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is the best by far with a great story and the freedom to explore and do whatever you can imagine.
Very few other games have managed to achieve the same level of freedom. "The Witcher 2" and "Dragon Age" still have the 'on-rails' feel when it comes to giving the player an immersive experience. Having played this game through with multiple characters (4 in total) and put in over 500 hours of game time, I STILL can find things I haven't seen! Truly remarkable.
If you prefer games that hold your hand and direct you by forcing you to stick to the path then this might seem overwhelming or frustrating due to the sheer scale. If you like to think outside the box and delve into a truly magnificent world then this game is for you.

It's Elder Scrolls
There's nothing here that will attract a player put-off by previous instalments and mostly nothing surprising for old players. I however found the extra graphic fidelity and wow factor of dragon fights to be well worth the asking price.
The game is full of bugs, though the worst offenders seem to be fixed now, yet veterans will be used to overcoming these hurdles as they become more and more engrossed in exploring the world of Skyrim.
Personally, I preferred the updated level up system that appears to react more closely to what you actually do in the game. I've heard complaints that not strengthening your block ability can break the game, but I am unable to comment on that in my current play through. However, at over 100 hours in I'm not sure when I will start another!

Best RPG ever!
Skyrim is simply the best RPG ever. The gameplay is great and the graphics are just astonishing. I would sometime just take a pause to look at the landscape and the sky and enjoy it almost as if I was really travelling in that nordic landscape. I played over 100 hours to collect all trophies and finish all main quest lines and there was still more to do. The leveling system is now better so you don't need to jump up and down to maximize things. The only thing I did not like was the quick menu for Favorite items. They should have used a radial menu.

Do I really need to write ANYTHING about THIS game?
It is just AWESOME.
If you didn`t have played it - you just must go and buy it.
Absolute freedom, it is the RPG you must play under any circumstances. No excuses accepted :)

One of the Best games out there.
When it comes to sandbox adventure games games the Elder Scrolls series has always led the way with it's engrossing story and freedom of choice. If you had to choose one game to sum up the genre, Elder Scrolls would be it.
So Skyrim comes as the latest entrant in the Elder Scrolls series and it is a monster. I'm roughly half way through the linear story and I still feel like I have just scratched the surface. There is just so much to do. It's just a true adventure, play it as you will. A quick wander around the countryside will have you discovering treasure while being assaulted by armies of undead etc.. Skyrim is all total immersion stuff with fantastic graphics and music which all comes together seamlessly to produce one of the most thought out fantasy worlds to date. The main story is cool and sort of different... who am I kidding it's all been done before but that doesn't matter when you are playing it really. Every character you meet although a little wooden and all with that slight 1000 yard stare going on all seem to work well. They all have heaps to say and more than enough of them have something for you to do. Sub adventure can literally take you weeks off your main task. Which is great.
Interface wise all works well and you will find the entire system better than past games. So why don't I give it 5 out of 5? The simple reason that like most games now, it was released way too early to market and it was buggy as hell, crashes, slow down etc etc... the list goes on. They have been patching it but really why not just release it when it's perfect. We can wait. Players buying now can look forward to some hefty patches which is BORING! Perhaps game companies should try be a bit more like Diablo 3 and release only when good and ready, hell we are all peeing our pants to play/buy it still, what's a little waiting.
But they are all minor gripes this game rocks and is by far the best single player experience on any platform. Be it playing in small chunks like I do now or massive week losing sittings that give you bed sores this game is great. Buy it.

Good Game
Skyrim is an open world, real time RPG. There is tons of stuff to do in this game. If you wanted to you could completely ignore the main quest and devulge hours of gameplay into side quests. Skyrim improves combat, leveling, and the menus from the last Elder Scrolls game. Skyrim plays like and feels just like Oblivion, so if you have played that you'll feel right at home. I'm giving Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a 4/5 (Morrowind is still my favourite in the series, but Skyrim is a definite must play if you enjoy the Elder Scrolls series.)

GOTY
this game needs little introduction. If you do not have it. Buy it! This game just won the official Game of the Year award from the AIAS. Just like Elder Scrolls 3 and 4. Skyrim is no carbon copy either. It improves on EVERYTHING. The combat still kinda.... leaves you wishing for more, but everything else in the game is so epic it does not really matter. The game gets 9 our 5 stars. Yeah I typed that correctly. The only reason it does not get 10 out 5 is becuase of the combat.

In a word: Awesome!
Without a doubt one of the best RPGs ever released. The world is HUGE, yet very detailed and at times just stunningly beautiful.
I've put 100+ hours into this game already and still have a long list of quests and objectives to be completed. At a guess I'd say doing everything could well take 200 hours, making this game extremely good value for money.

Absolutely worth it
This is an amazing game, showing a lot of improvements over the last edition of The Elder Scrolls (Oblivion). Even for people like me who usually prefer games like Dragon Age and Baldur's Gate, Skyrim is a must-have for its astonishing and completely immersive world.
But be warned: you won't be able to live your real life properly for a while after you start playing it. Just sayin'.

Just play it!
I should write a long review about how excellent this game is. I should let everyone know that it is the most involved and deeply customizable experience out there. I should say that you could play this the rest of your life and still find things to do. But... I don't want to waste any more time, because I'm playing it right now. Do yourself a favor, try it out. No game is deeper, and you will not find anything better than the feeling when you walk through a farm land and see a dragon soaring through the skies burning everything in its path.

Awesome game!
Although I was skeptical at a first-person point of view RPG, Skyrim has since proven to be an interesting experience, a step away from the JRPG genre of most RPGs. With stunning life-like graphics in the environment and over 100s of hours of gameplay, this is a must buy even if you've never played an Elder Scrolls.

awesome
By far one of the best RPGs out there. Am about 100 hours in and dying to continue questing! Havent even really scratched the surface of the main quest. Dual wielding is intuitive aswell :) Great job Bethesda! Will be getting the next Oblivion series release for sure ^^.

Great Game, Great Service
This open-world RPG is the best of its kind. The graphics are stunning, the game play is fluid, the story is strong, and besides a few freezes, it's the perfect RPG. It's better than Oblivion, which is saying a lot. And the service from Play Asia was excellent. This was my first purchase, but I was very pleased. It took a few days to ship, and then arrived in Bangkok less than a week later. Great game, great service.

Massive and Beautiful
Skyrim has all the extensive area to explore that players of the other Elder Scrolls games will remember, however, the graphics are even better here.
In addition, there are more voice actors so it doesn't seem like you all the new characters sound the same as old ones.
Although this game is supposed to have numerous bugs, I have yet to encounter one at Level 35 in character development.
I'd highly recommend this game if you liked Morrowind or Oblivion, or if you like exploration and quest driven RPGs.

A true time theif... but I forgive it
This game lasts forever it seems, but with such a vast universe and great stories and enjoyable game-play, that is just how it should be. I truly enjoy exploring Skyrim and its treasures... and there is always something new awaiting around the corner.

Great Game But Buggy
The game's top notch from graphics, sound, gameplay and story. You can expect to sink 100+ hours in this thing. Too bad the PS3 version is ruin by lag and bug, more than xbox360 and pc.
If you're thinking on buying, by all means, BUY! Just NOT PS3 version, a'rite. PEACE!

Truly amazing.
If you like Oblivion you'll love this.
One thing from Oblivion I didn't like was once the main story and side quests were done there was not much left to do. But in Skyrim the side quests and random encounters are never ending giving the game a feel that even when the main story is done there is much more to see and do.
The new level up system is amazing meaning you have to use a skill to level it. The smithing is by far brilliant in the way that you have to make the iron ingots, leather parts and chop the wood etc.
Another great feature is being a werewolf. You can change when you want and it makes you stronger and faster.
I can't wait for the updates. This truly deserves the Game of the Year title!!

Classic Game
For those of you who haven't partaken yet, Skyrim is puckering up to devour your soul just as the game's protagonist does with dragon souls.
In terms of breadth, depth, and variety, EDV:S is just about unrivalled in this gamer's experience. The so-called "radiant quest system" ensures there will always be something to do, even in the unlikely event that you complete all of Skyrim's existing quests. The player is also granted a great deal of freedom in how to play the game. Apart from the main storyline, there are several other quest line's involving the world's various guilds and its ongoing civil war. Any of these could almost be deemed a game unto itself. You can do them in any order or simply ignore them. And it doesn't end there. As with any open world RPG worth its salt, the world is filled with powerful and sometimes bizarre artifacts to collect. If you want to take a break from dungeon-crawling, you can geek out with the game's rich and detailed crafting system.
The technical clitches are plentiful, though often more amusing that distracting. There's been little to dampen my spirits through 73 hours of play and I still feel as though I've only scraped the surface.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys RPGs and open world games.

One of the best single-player RPG game ever
in this game, you are the king of you. meaning to say you dictate how you want to play the game. you can go around killing everyone (beware the consequences), or use countless hours on pickpocketing other NPCs, or roam the vast beautiful world of skyrim. one word - AWESOME! you really have to play this game to know how addictive it can get.
though so, as of any Bethesda's games there will be glitches and bugs and lags and freezes. There's basically nothing much to do but wait for the patches (hopefully there will be). As of current, one of the biggest issue is that the gamesave continues to build and finally rendering the game totally unplayable. I read in a separate forum, upon reaching ~9 / 10mb, the lag and freeze is unimaginable, and you would need to save your game, reboot the game and perhaps you can play again for another 2 hours before it comes back.

Improvement of the previous games
I was very excited about this game coming out, and waited all year for the release. The game did not disappoint the visuals are great, the character movements are realistic, voice overs are fine.
Hardcore players of Oblivion will feel right at home.
You can kill and steal from any character; you do not have to follow the main quest at all if you choose. Freedom is easy in this game, you can even get married.
The skill set up has improved to Oblivion, getting rid of some like Acrobatic and adding some new like Enchantment as its own skill. Leveling up the skills has improved, it seems move even leveling up each skill, unlike in oblivion where some skills were very time consuming to level up.
Perks are a welcome addition, like Fall Out as you level up you get a perk skill to spend or same until you have the right level of a particular skill. Each skill has its own perk tree, so you can become a master of a particular skill if you want.
The game does have a few glitches with regards to graphic stutters and freezes, also some of the side quests are broken which can be annoying, although with some patches it will be fine.
The dungeons and caves have their own traits, it's far from what Oblivion was like with the same old looking caves, with the same old undead characters. You can look around and see cave streams, holes in the cave roof caved by water erosion and see the outside sunlight of Skyrim.
One small thing i have not found yet is the feeling that I am in Skyrim, like with Fallout 3 where you can feel that you are trying to survive in post nuclear war landscape, but it's not really a big deal in the overall game. I did find a lot of Fall Out in this game which wasn't particularly bad but felt copied in some aspect.
I have rated the game 10/10 as I could not rate it what I felt was right 9.5/10 only because of the glitches.
Skyrim has set the bar high for future up and coming games within the same Genre.
Looking ahead I know I'll be playing this game for another year at least and I'm looking forward to the DLC when it comes out

Amazing game
Great game!
It adds nothing ever seen, but everything is just very well done, graphics included.
They also reduced a bit the RPG complexity, making the game a little bit more accessible to who is not (like me) a RPG super expert.

Good Game
The game is unique in both grapichs and music. With an interesting storyline and a good varaity of side quests it is a game well worth to buy.
With experience from the previous "The elder scrolls" the game is even better, but this experience is not at all important for enjoying or understanding the game.
All in all a great game! Thank you Bethesda!

No other game matters this year, there is only Skyrim. One of the best gaming experiences to be had.
Battlefield 3 Vs. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? The winner is easily Skyrim!

The Best Elder Scrolls Yet
Bethesda has never disappointed me, and Skyrim continues that tradition. When I play Skyrim, I feel like I'm playing Morrowind for the first time again. It has me in its grip, and there's little I can do except spend every waking moment of free time enthralled by it.

A bit dissapointted
i received the game after finishing Mass Effect 2. That is why i think i am getting a feel of downgrade of graphic when i move to skyrim. The tree, water and etc seems to be so single layered or 2D. maybe it is only on ps3. Not as good as show by the review in youtube. i am really familiar with bethesda game (oblivion, fallout 3,vegas) and this game's graphic seem to upgrade just a little bit if compared to last game. But the game still an exciting game to play.
