Lin Minmei, the diva of all songstresses is back with her love songs. What makes Super Dimension Fortress Macross a classic is the timelessness of its plot, characters and setting. The 1984 movie Ai Oboeteimasuka is packed together with a brand new game Watashi no Kare wa Pilot 2012. Every screen in the movie is remastered, so every explosion, dog fight and all the love scenes bring even more impact to the audiences.
The game is created by the staff behind the Macross F Sayonara no Tsubasa Hybrid Pack. Every line and every gleam on the canons are drawn in the most realistic way. The transformations of the Valkyries are so smooth that gamers hardly feel a bump when they turn from fighter jet to a giant mecha.

Good purchase for the collector!
Having this in Blu Ray, Macross picture quality has been cleaned up very well. Due to being mastered from analog tapes, it doesn't have the super high def quality of current Blu Ray movies like the Gundam 00 movie. Could have been better if they left the gore scenes unedited but the extra goodies in the hybrid pack makes up for it from a collector standpoint.

Mmmmm... Right, just for fans.
To have the Blu Ray movie is a must. Still, some scenes were censored due to crudeness, but was totally innecessary. The game is not what I expected. It is just a poor port of 1/3 of the frontier series from PSP. They are beatifully rendered, though. The games lacks of Replay (i mean, to watch your dogfights again and again), lacks of multiplayer (that would've be a awesome), and finally, is short. You should put this in your movie section, than in your game section.

Not what you could expect
I've waited this release for so long, and now that it is in my hands I feel a little disapointed. The film has some clear and well defined scenes, but there are some several blurry or rainy ones.The game looks good but the controls are not the best and is short, I mean there's just a few levels in different difficulties and that's it. I enjoyed the PS2 game a lot more. Just because I'm a die hard fan, I payed the high price for this BD. If you're not a big fan, it's not worth it.
