Simply one of the best
This game really deserves to be one of the best RPG's on the wii. The story, the gamplay, the music, it's the whole package :) Love it!

Great game, let down by the platform
This is a gem of a game, released late onto a dying platform. This RPG offers some great mechanics -- borrowing elements from an MMORPG and mixing in tactical aspects from turn-based systems. The result is a deep, challenging battle system, that's a lot of fun. The game also delivers a great storyline, albeit wrapped in a somewhat cliche organic-vs-machine setup. The world-setting is great, unique and spectacular.

This would have been much more appreciated if it were released earlier in the Wii's life, or on a platform with more hardware power. But that shouldn't stop you from buying it. Is your Wii collecting dust? Buy this gem and fix that situation!

Impressive!
Simply the best J-RPG this gen, not only in the Wii, i mean all consoles. You have more than 100 hours in playtime through the main story and the sidequests.

If you have the Wii, you simply shouldn't miss it.

:)

One of the Best RPGs of this generation!
This game combines the greatest strengths of all things RPG and mashes them with a beautiful art direction and soundtrack, a great story, innovative battle system and a massive scope.

If you are a hardcore Wii gamer or an RPG lover, you owe it to yourself to check this game out.

The Flawed Savior of JRPGs
IS cliche say 'flawed masterpiece', but for better or worse this is probably the best definition to this game. Maybe Jack of Trades is other one, but in this case Jack is master of immersion and world building, and is in the other areas (story, graphics, Battle System, balance, side quests) were is good at it but no a master of it.

Mind you, is not Fallout 3 or Amalur, that were also kind of flawed in this Areas, cause Xenoblade is actually very good in apply them until certain extent.

But is when this extent breaks, when things kind go downhill.

The story gets a irritant love triangle, the battles are easy as cake if you are overpowered, and the Sidequest are mostly MMO affairs with little to none variations.

Is a shame because it was so close to be of one of my all time favorites.

But still, a Great Experience and a Great World.

Inconclusive
Xenoblade Chronicles is well okay, the reason why graphics aren't necessary yet necessary for many who have LCD tv's, the blur and distorted pixels are the reason I hate the wii on lcd, but if it weren't for next gen consoles I would probably like the wii more than i do, the problem is this game would be better on ps3 or xbox360 here's why, The Control pad for starters old school is still the best, the wii-mote is what puts me off from wii games. The graphics on my 52" lcd also another reason why Xenoblade Chronicles does not look good on that big screen, though its probably the best looking wii game out, you can just imagine how it would look on xbox360 or ps3, i know stereo types graphics etc.. I'm not biased iv been there since 1984 Pong, Amstrad and Amiga + look what makes a game is mainly the storyline and game mechanics in and out of battles with super special moves over the top epic ones that is, the graphics as I say are still required to make you go AWEsome! the best RPG game would be a combination of all that above and included graphics, so guys stop saying games without graphics are the best cause they aren't they have just more focus on the game excluding the graphics, I can name you so many ps1, ps2 and SNES games that are still better than Xenoblade Chronicles. Its just an alright game in my book. I'm a hardcore gamer trust me. Would of been better with a better pad and 1080p graphics, :)

Wii-Saver! Excellent Gaming Experience for sure.
My wii has been sleeping for a while until this game arrives. Typical JRPG satisfies what I really needed.
Every details are well-designed including BGMs.
This title gives me good opportunity to turn on Wii.

Some flaws but otherwise artistic
I wasn't sure what to say at first because some of the graphics in the previews for this game left much to be desired, however the environment and gameplay changed my mind. It's one of those hidden gem RPGs that you have to delve deeper into in order to enjoy.

why JRPGs should never have gone HD
Xenoblade shows us what can be made when developers aren't forced to make things look pretty just on the surface. JP developers can't depend on 3-4million sales, and therefore xbox/ps3 titles have suffered from being as hollow as you can get compared to, say, Dragon Age or Fallout. The inherent beauty of the scenery isn't diluted by any means simply because it isn't in HD, and the game is chock full of content. Not saying I didn't enjoy the 360 JRPGs that have been released as of now, but I wonder what could have been of some of those games if they were able to expend resources elsewhere.

Freedom to roam and explore
Xenoblade is a rare gem. In a time where most RPGs feature an relatively linear game experience, Xenoblade gives players the freedom to roam and explore huge and richly detailed areas from the very beginning. Every encounter is avoidable, which makes exploration smooth and rewarding. I would highly recommend this game to fans of 8 and 16 bit RPGs who would like to relive those glory days with modern graphics and design sensibility.

Stunning soundtrack, great fun to play
The Wii doesn't get enough RPGs, so the announcement of Xenoblade was a pretty big deal - especially as it's from Monolith Soft, developers of the Xeno series.

Interestingly though, this game is about as far removed from Xenosaga as you can get. Much less cutscenes and much more focus on gameplay means that even if you didn't like the studio's previous titles, it's worth giving this one a try, especially if you like exploring. The vast, open environments with secrets to find and rare monsters to fight really give the game a sense of adventure. It's easy to sink 5 or so hours into exploring a new field area from top to bottom. The story is no slouch either, particularly after about five hours into the game, and the soundtrack is simply incredible, composed by Yoko Shimomura and a group of relative unknowns who, after this, shouldn't be unknown for much longer.

If you like your RPGs wide and open and packed full of content, you'll love this.

I can feel RPG again.
I'd play some of rpg but I feel not enough some was lack of somethings, some was too far to be rpg.
Xenoblade may be not the best RPG ever, But so close.
Many complains about character models which I think that's only thing they can complain. :)

Finally the RPG feeling come again with Xenoblade.
Story, systems, graphics depth, music, Whole together it's just Awesome.
The "Xeno" word can stay with pride in the name of the game.
The story is dynamic, the landscape is fantastic and the music is in total harmony, composed by Manami Kiyota, ACE +, Yoko Shimomura and the end theme by Yasunori Mitsuda.

Visual don't do the production values justice
This is without a doubt a high-quality RPG experience and the best yet I've experienced on the Wii. The design of the game is unique for a Japanese RPG in that you are given a lot of freedom to explore a vast and beautiful world with limited interruption. The battle system is deep and involved while avoiding becoming overly complicated. Most importantly, its very fun and rewarding.

The game is lush with awesome production values beyond the game design and into the art, story, acting and music. Though I don't really hold it against the game considering the platform, its a shame the visuals don't do this otherwise fine product justice.

Fine job by Tetsuya Takahashi and Monolith Soft.

Exceeded my expectation and more, best RPG on Wii
When I watched the trailers, I was worried if the gameplay would be too MMO-like ala FFXII, but it isn't so and feels like a fast turn-based RPG in real time, requiring quick thinking and strategies. The graphics is very good and the scale of the vast world is awe-inspiring. The soundtrack created by six composers (including Mitsuda and Shimomura) were unique and stylish, very fitting for the areas, some battle themes feel very epic. I have only played about 15 hrs so far, the story and characters feel engaging w/ a hint of bigger things to come, this is from the same director of Xenogears/Xenosaga series after all. A must-play for all RPG fans. I rank it up there next to Nier.

Battle System
The story is just amazing, has nice graphics, there are very cool songs, like Gaur Plains and the battle system is easy to understand, but hard to master.
