Acquired has provided some details about the first of four "Case" scenarios of its upcoming Akihabara-set action RPG, Akiba's Beat! In Akiba's Beat, the characters get stuck in a world full of delusions, trapped in a repeating day long cycle on a Sunday, and they need to get out of it unscathed.

Asahi, our protagonist, overslept after promising to meet up with his close friend Mizuki, and rushes there. However, when he gets to Akihabara Station, it's completely different. He's flustered at the weird scene in front of him, but suddenly a lone girl's voice starts talking. A girl named Saki appears with a weird creature that floats in the air called Pinkun. She tells him that everything he sees now is "reality".

Next to Saki is a man that's excited by the new Akihabara Station. Hisayoshi Otoda, who runs an audio specialty shop in Akihabara, tells Asahi and company that this is Akihabara Station in its best form. However, Saki and Pinkun, concludes that he is the reason why the station's become like this. As if trading places with Otoda, a mysterious door appears in front of the station. Saki, who tells Asahi that this is the entrance to a "Delusionscape", forcibly gets Asahi involved and they walk into the door.

This upcoming JRPG will be released on December 15th, 2016 for Japanese versions, while the US version will have an anticipated March release!
