The PlayStation2™ port contains Art of Fighting 1 as Ryo and his friend Robert try to rescue his sister Yuri from Mr. Big, Art of Fighting 2 adds Yuri and Ryo's dad Takuma into the roster as well as others including a secret boss from another SNK game, and AOF 3 adds a revamped engine and motion captured graphics along with all new characters excluding Ryo and Robert. The game comes with an arranged sound track option and has online capabilities. incorrect format?
all my purchases from play asia have worked perfectly (i have a japanese ps2) but for some reason when i try to choose which art of fighting game i want to play my TV says incorrect format?

Classic games, although a little dated...
Ryuuko no Ken / Art of Fighting was a big hit when released on the arcades, as it was its sequel. By then, there weren't many fighting games to compete with AOF.
Playing it now, it clearly shows its age - AOF 1 has a bit strange gameplay, AOF 2 has hard-to-release special moves; only AOF 3 is really worth the collection.
In spite of all its problems, this game is worth buying for any fans of the series (like me :D ).

The tiger and the dragon fight again!
The Art of Fighting series is special. Very special. Much of the stuff found in fighting games today came from AOF - taunts, DM's, power bar, dash... Also, we have a history behind the fights, and characters who have personality.
Together with "Garou Densetsu Battle Archives 1", AOF Collection is the best title in SNKP's online collection. Great ports, with all the quality from original versions and no bugs (like the ones found in KOF '96 from Orochi Collection). Great arrange soundtracks and color edit options (you can edit 4 extra colors in AOF 2). And expect all the dificult from the original verions, too - the CPU is a real challenge.
