The small fishing village of Alanya on the Arland Republic’s southern border is home to the young alchemist-in-training Totooria Helmold. She is called Totori by her friends and family, and she wishes to become a great adventurer. One day, she resolves to make the journey to Arland, become an adventurer, and explore the world beyond her hometown. She will make many friends along her journey of discovery — some new, some familiar. When her quest comes to a close, your actions over the course of the game will dictate whether she finds the answers to her questions, forge unbreakable bonds with friends, or take different paths entirely.

Solid entry point for this long running series.
The time-management element might be a turn off for many people, and this one is supposed to have one of the most forgiving elements in that regard. Fun too that it's not your usual 'save the world' story you see in almost every other JRPG. This one is more about a personal quest and journey, and that's refreshing.

Excelente juego
La aventura de Arland perfeccionada y aumentada, las batallas ahora son mas dinamicas y retadoras, los personajes son carismaticos y tiene una buena historia. Muy recomendado.

Taru!! Great Game!
Really nice game system, although it's a bit different goal from other series but still enjoyable. I also enjoy relaxing music too.

Bought it because it was cheap back then...
Having played the entire Atelier series on the Ps2 I had high expectations for this game. Sadly, now I have a hard time calling this a Rpg. Just like its predecessor, too many alchemy and gathering ingredients and not enough epic story with huge involvement, deep characters and fighting system.
Graphics are pretty bad for a Ps3, only the characters look nice. Watching the same scenes over and over during the fights make it a bit ennoying in the end. I love anime but this is just not enough to make it good software.
Average game but if you're like me the kind of player who likes to do grinding, take his time on sidequests and just hate to be told to do stuff in a limited period of time, then stay away from it, this game is not for you.

Great Game
Compared to the first Atelier Rorona, this game has improved graphics and battle system, not much but interesting, a must have for Atelier fans
