A very interesting side story
Anyone familiar with Berserk\'s story will immeaditly realize that this is not a part of Kentarou Miura\'s manga, but it still makes for a convincing side story.

The game has been called one of the best final fight style hack\'n slash/Beat\'em up\'s to come along in a long time, and it is a fabulous game. Your enviroment plays a key roke in just how your able to fight in this game. If your stuck in a narrow city alley you\'ll have to find another way to deal with enemies, because that sword of your will end up bouncing off every wall and just get in the way. Even with these deliberate blocades being thrown at you, the game is still a joy to control and the button mapping is very logiclal and straight forward.

The game\'s story it\'s self fits the theme of revenge, and good entions gone wrong that\'s found in the manga followed up by gratuitous ammounts of blood and severed body parts. There is a noteable step up in the difficulty when you move between difficulty levels and each level is properly named, as in hard actually being pretty damn hard while easy is just what it claims to be.

Sword of the Berserk is a must have for any fans of berserk or beat\'em up type games, and is a great game in general. I highly recomend it.

If you like the anime...
You might like this. Its a well done hack-n-slash that gives a great challange. Even on easy its quite a challange near the end. And besides who wouldnt want to wield a huge sword? Only down-side is, that it may be a bit to tough for casual gamers.
