Item Description

Candy Boy, a web anime series broadcasted by Nico Nico Douga, is a highschool comedy series featuring a pair of twins Sakurai Kanade and Yukino and their amusing antics.Yukino the elder sister is quite a sporty tomboy, Sakurai Miki the figure maker features her vivaciousness through her posture and cheerful smile.Kanade, the younger twin on the other hand, is a little more lady-like. With her black hair clipped to the back of her head, she appears to be a quieter, gentler soul than her bouncy, bubbly sister. With perfectly proportional bodies, large expressive eyes and natural postures, the Sakurai twins are a pair of must-haves for connoiseurs. Coming in September, be sure to clean a center place for them on your shelves.

Sakurai Yukino Review
I have fairly high expectations for Good Smile figures and Sakurai Yukino does not disappoint. However, there are also a few points about the figure that I think could have been improved. The figure is well made and has very nice detailed painting such as the painting of her finger nails and uniform insignia. The figure captures the original energy of the character in the show both in the facial expression and the character's pose. Yukino is posed as if in mid-skip giving a great deal of energy to the figure but the placement of her right leg in mid air seems a bit clumsy. Yukino herself can stand alone but when she is paired with her twin sister, Sakurai Kanade, the contrast in poses brings out the charm in both characters much better than each of them alone. The character's alternate arm, when she stands alone, could have had more variety. It is basically the same as the arm that joins with Kanade except that her fingers are curled in to close rather than open. The figure displays the quality I have come to expect from Good Smile and captures the original character well but she poses much better when she is paired with her sister than standing alone.
