Great 8-bit renditions of classic DDR music.
Unfortunately, the thing that this game has going most for it is the 8-bit renditions of DDR classics like Vol.4 and Paranoia. This game really seems like it can work on DDR and everything on screen says that it should work perfectly, but the biggest issue I have is the hardware. The DDR pad for the Gameboy really does work, but I have a hard time making sure that it is actually in correctly or if it is working properly. This game is a hard one to explain. I am a DDR expert on a real arcade machine, so I can naturally play this game on a keyboard, but I think the main limitation here is the Gameboy. If it's not the controls that I have a hard time with, then it is the lighting which for the time is not really the Gameboy's fault because this was before backlights in handheld systems. If you are a fan of DDR and just want to here DDR in 8-bit, I recommend getting this game, but sometimes, this game can feel unplayable. I gave it a 4 because if you had a backlit system and knew if the controller was responding correctly, it would work fairly well as a game. This should have been on Nintendo DS or later.
