description

Meiji restoration has caused rapid changes in all spheres of the society, these fast paced alterations in turn destabilize a country by ways such as increasing the gap between the rich and the poor, between new ideologies and the old ones. With so much chaos going on, its no wonder that such a place became the breeding ground for demons.Raitou is an amateur detective working under Narumi. Although the partners are used to strange cases, a girl who requested them to kill her is too weird, even for them. Knowing that the girl is hiding something, Raitou and Narumi set off to meet her.The girl, Daidouji Kaya, is from one of the wealthiest families in the city, as the heiress of a considerable fortune, she is an obstacle in her relatives' eyes. Before she could tell the detectives her true request, she was abducted by a man in red.All Daidouji women attract spirits and are easily possessed, with things that involve the supernatural world, Raitou may be the only one who could solve this crime.

A real improvement
The original was a flawed gem, and this takes all the problems with that game and rectifies every single one of them. Killing demons in 1920's Japan has never been more fun! As an added bonus the soundtrack is included in the box too, which was a nice surprise.

Awesome!!
First of all, I would like to say that THIS GAME IS AWESOME! This game has improved a lot from the previous game, the demon conversation/communication function (like the one from shin megami tensei 3 nocturne) is added, and you can summon up to 2 demons instead of one. The previous game is more action based, this one is too, however the level has become easier, so just in case you are not quite good at action games(ike me) you can still enjoy the battle system~!
Aside from Devil Summoner2, nocturne maniac's chronicle edition is nice too! Too bad they didn't change Dante's background music during the battle with Raidou... but anyway, the new stuff are still cool (cut scenes and battles with Raidou, etc.).
I recommend this game not only to Atlus fans but everyone else as well~ it's got an interesting battle system and awesome storyline! great character development and nice music! bravo*
