description

Make a pact with the devil and you have seven days to live. On the way home from a mock exam, you witnessed the destruction the demons from the Septentrion caused. Together with your friends Io and other devil messengers, you have to figure a way to stop these attacks within a week, or the world ends with you.

Get the strongest devil through the Devil Auction system and go on "dates" to get to know your fellow fighters more. The game comprises the tactical RPG as well as dating sim aspect, so the better you know your friends, the more abilities you can unlock.

Great RPG on the Megami Tensei universe
Devil Survivor 2, as being part of the Megami Tensei universe, stands out for its setting on the modern Japan, instead of a medieval or futuristic world which most RPGs are based upon.
The gameplay is a mix of adventure, strategy and RPG games. The battle system is pretty much a mix of Final Fantasy Tactics/Ogre Battle strategy battle (where you move your characters in a tile based battlefield) and the classic Megami Tensei battle system when you engage a enemy in the battlefield.
The lack of voices is a negative point in my opinion. But whether you are a fan of the Megami Tensei universe or not, this game is worth checking.

many improvements over its predecessor
As a strategy-battle game, this game is improved in many ways over its predecessor. There are now more demons, more skills, high racial skills, the monster compendium, more human party members, etc. etc. There are now more skill combos, more ways you can customize your party, more longevity and replay value.

The predecessor was great and this is even better. The only drawback is that some say that the predecessor has better story, but I'm happy with this one as it has good enough story on its own.
