Some excellent game music in this colorful CD.
I won't lie - in buying the soundtrack to a kids' game one signs up to listen to a few ridiculously kiddy, simplistic songs. But this small fraction of the playing time is made up for in Dewy's soundtrack's catchy, creative and sonically intriguing music style. (My personal favorite is Ancient Shout, track 15, which combines some Kirby tambre with lush chords and a solid beat.) Really while there are some songs here that I would never, ever listen to (Two songs of the forty feature seven-year-olds singing about rainbows or something of that nature.), I can't deny that there are also plenty of high-quality tracks that represent everything video game music should be. If you enjoy Kirby music, possibly with a little Super Monkey Ball thrown in, this is definitely worth a buy. If your tastes are a little more "hardcore" (i.e. RPG's, horror games), then I don't think you need me to tell you probably won't be jammin' to this album on the metro.
