Cave\'s first entry (and a fine one it is...)
While logic might have you grasping for the Saturn port of this game, it would seem that something went awry, and the PSX ended up with the superior port of this seminal shooter.
Wow! Batsugun meets Raiden II in this classic that would begin Cave\'s legacy of shmups that is still going strong today. The genius of having a ship that could switch between spread and beam on the fly, or even change its bomb type on a whim! The music and feel of this game is dead-on too!
What it comes down to is if you like Toaplan or the Raiden games (or both), you need to own this shooter. Don\'t expect much as far as special features go--there\'s no replays or stage select (as far as I recall anyway). Its pretty much just the game--but one incredible game it is! One of the best shmups on the PSX!
